Sova and Cypher Vision Locations - More Vision Spots!

More Recon Bolt spots for Sova and some useful Cypher Cam locations.

Getting vision of your opponents is an important part of Valorant and can give your team the edge in crucial rounds. Using Sova and Cypher effectively will give you a chance to figure out where the enemy is playing from and how to use that to convert a round win. Since my initial article on Recon Bolt locations, I have discovered a few other Recon Bolt shots for Ascent, Split, and Bind. There are also some spots for Cypher's cam on Ascent and Split that could be useful when defending those bomb sites. All the Sova Recon Bolt shots can be seen in the video below.

Sova Recon Bolt 1 – B site to B Main on Ascent:

For this one, you need to be standing on the Market ledge while focusing your crosshair at the left grate. Then by selecting either 0 or 1 bounces and firing a shot past the first white line you will land the Recon Bolt into B Main or just outside of it. This is an extremely useful Recon Bolt as you can figure out if the opponent has committed to a B push or are waiting outside of B Main to go somewhere else. Since Ascent is all about Mid control, you can easily call for a rotation for the Defenders to take over Mid thus, closing the space for the Attackers to go.

Sova Recon Bolt 2 – Garden Arrow to B Link on Ascent:

The next Recon Bolt shot goes into B Link from Garden. By standing on the edge of the glass window and aiming up towards the roof of the tower and firing a shot past the first white line you will get the bolt to land right in B Link. This is an effective shot as you can figure out if the enemy is pushing into Mid from B Link, or going to B/A. It also lands behind the doorway, so you get vision on the two corners in there rather than inside Mid. You could even combo it with a Brim smoke while pushing Mid to get the jump on the attacking team. If you move slightly left, you can also have the shot land right in Mid to get sight there instead.

Cypher Cam Locations for Bomb Sites:

There are a few locations to place your Cypher Cam when defending the bomb sites on Ascent. There is a 45 second cooldown for the Camera ability so putting it in the best spot possible is vital to ensure you get the most use out of it. When defending A Site (or retaking it), having a Camera placed somewhere high will make it less visible for the enemy. As well if it is out of their field of view and up high, they will tend to not look for the Camera. If the opponent is spending time looking up for Cameras, they then run the risk of getting eliminated by the Defenders, so this can create a potential decoy. The tracking dart needs to be used efficiently too when the enemies come onto the bomb site, so it is not obvious where the Camera is located. Using the ping function instead of the tracking dart allows you to still follow the opponent’s whereabouts on the bomb site without losing sight of the opponents.

For the A bomb site, you can place Cypher’s Camera on the far wall in the window dent. This can be done from the Heaven position. Putting it here gives you vision of the bomb site minus under Heaven and behind the black box. If you want vision on that side you can put the Camera on that wall, or in Heaven where the clothes drape over in the back.

Another unique spot is in A Link by the two trees. You can place a Camera up there where it can be covered by the foliage making it harder to find for the Attackers. This gives vision into A Site and gives information where the Attackers (or Defenders) are coming from.

On the B bomb site, you can place your Camera in a variety of locations. Due to the site's compactness, there are only two points of entry into the main bomb site so taking advantage of these entry points is vital for obtaining vision. The first Camera location is above the Market door. This will give you sight of B Main, CT spawn and Market entrances. You also will get vision of the tent and lanes heading into the bomb site. Another important spot to place a Camera is the brick wall in the back. With this Camera location, you will now have vision of the entire site, which in a retake situation will make it easy for you to find out where the opponents are located.

This Camera is in a different location than the one above. If you want this angle, you'll have to put the Camera on the wall to the right coming out of B Main.

Sova Recon Bolt 3 – Heaven Shot from Attackers Spawn on Split:

This shot utilizes the bounce mechanic to get into Heaven from the Attackers spawn. By standing on the planter across from Vents heading to A you can line up your crosshair with the diagonal wall before the Heaven indent. Then by sending a shot just above the first white line, you can get the arrow to land right in the Heaven building. This gives you vision in that building, so you will know where the enemies are when executing onto the site or running up A Ramp to go onto A or through Vents to Mid. By putting 1 bounce on the shot, it can be sent further into Heaven and land on the far wall. You can also aim at the pot lights to put the bolt by the ledge instead to get vision onto site. This will help you determine if you want to go through Ramp or directly onto the bomb site.

Cypher Cameras for Bomb Sites:

On the A Site of Split, you can put a Camera behind the info barrier on site on the flight information board. Once placed you will have vision of the entire back of site which Attackers will be as they take post-plant positions around this location. Once the enemy plants the bomb, wait a few seconds before activating the camera, so they will not turn around and see the Camera turn on revealing its position. Another good camera location is along A Ramp on the wall heading down. This will give vision to A Main and up A Ramp, which is crucial when defending against an Attacker execute onto A from this position.

For the B bomb site, you can place a Camera in the back of site by the brush and garbage can. This Camera spot gives vision right down the entrance from Garage as well as the back of site, and where it is placed allows it to blend in with its surroundings so when the Attackers are coming in from Garage it will be harder to spot. Since the back of site also doubles as a post-plant position that many people hide in, keeping the Camera here, if possible, will assist when retaking site as you will know where the enemy might be located.

Sova Recon Bolt 4 – A Short to A Site:

The next two arrows come from a Reddit post I came upon from u/Jnavarsete who posted an Average Jonas clip showing these Recon Bolt shots. They are extremely useful when attacking on Bind and give a lot of info to the Attackers. For the A Site line up what you need to do is go to the corner at the A Short doorway and line your crosshair up with the palm tree leave overhead (it will be the one above the power lines).

Next by lining it up with the leaf pixels and firing a light shot that is a little bit before the first white line you will obtain vision of almost the entire bomb site. The Bolt will land on the corner of the Lamp building granting vision in multiple areas including Heaven, TP Corner, behind Truck, and the Cubby spots to the right side of the bomb site. Using this shot will essentially give you vision of the entire site which will give you the edge when executing onto it with your team. Combining a few smokes and properly placed flashes, you will have the Spike planted or a round win.

Sova Recon Bolt 5 – B Lobby to B site:

The last Average Jonas Recon Bolt shot is another line up shot that brings vision into most of B Site. What you need to do is line yourself at the two stacked boxes in B Lobby. You then need to place yourself so your crosshair is in the middle of the box’s edge and look up to the wires along the wall of Market. This next part is easier to see when scoped in, but there is a wire box on the wall and a clip a few pixels over. To the right of this clip there is a white line, and that is where you put your crosshair. Once you have your crosshair there pan up until the star of your Recon Bolt ability is lined up with that wire. After that fire, a full powered 0 bounce shot into site and you should have vision of inside Hookah, Elbow, B Garden, B Hall, and around site. The Bolt Will land on top of the tunnel structure in the middle of site granting this vision. This is again another extremely useful Recon Bolt which will surely turn the tides when executing onto this bomb site.

Those are all the new vision spots I have researched and found, and I hope they help you in your ranked matches so you can continue to rank up! Do not forget to follow our social channels @Dignitas and join our Discord!
