Hey everybody! Maleok here with an interview I had with the wonderful singer of "Here Comes Vi", Nicki Taylor. I caught up with her and asked all about her experience working with Riot Games both before and after the release of the song back in December of 2012.

I want to start out with a rather important question,How did you start the whole process for "Here comes Vi" with Riot?

Nicki Taylor: Well I used to be in a band called "Running the Risk". We were looking for more people to write songs with when Christian Linke AKA "Praeco" contacted my producer at the time and submitted a few songs for us. So a few months later he contacted me and said hey there is this character coming out, she has a song and I think your voice would fit her attitude and personality really well!

So has Riot kept up with you or sent you anywhere?

Nicki Taylor: Mhmm they've sent me to Taiwan to perform at the tournament before they pick who goes to worlds from the LPL. Latin America has their own tournament that they do between all those countries so I performed in Chile and Columbia. That was really cool, also just recently I performed at PAX East.

So on a scale from 1-10 how much of a difference has this interaction made in your life?

Nicki Taylor: It's definitely a ten. When you come from just playing in a band it goes from trying to build something out of nothing and playing in bars in LA... Every possible stupid thing that could happen happened. Then all of a sudden being told hey we are gonna send you to Taiwan, and pay all of your expenses and give you money! Also (Riot) didn't just send me for the days of the events, they gave me a couple days to just hang out and have a vacation out of it too.

So you feel like Riot has sufficiently supported you ?

Nicki Taylor: Mhmm ya...They even gave me the computer I use to stream on. Riot is very good to people. Basically everyone that I have ever worked with besides Riot was pretty much out for themselves, was a scam, or were literally just trying to screw me over... It definitely gets easier once you are working with people who don't need to be out for themselves, they've got it all.

Nicki Taylor: well I mean thats obvious, Jinx ADC. Also support Thresh, Leona, Nami, and Sona. When I jungle, Amumu and VI!
