With Cache becoming part of CS2 again, it’s important to learn some lineups on the remake of the map. Here are some essential Cache lineups that you need to know to win more rounds.
Cache has always been an integral part of CS. It was a community map, much like Anubis, that was incorporated into the official game. And now that Cache is joining the CS2 family as well, it’s time to review some lineups.
Fortunately, Cache has always been a very fast-paced map, and you don’t need to learn a lot of lineups for it. You only need a couple of good ones to get you through most matches. Plus, the more lineups there are, the harder they are to remember. With that said, here are some of the most essential lineups you need to learn for Cache.

The terrorist side is more in need of lineups than the CT. That’s because most of the entry points are chokepoints, so smoking from there is difficult. That’s why you need to have some strong lineups for your executives, and here are some examples.
B Heaven is a classic AWP spot, and it can be tough for the attackers to deal with. You can’t smoke it from the main, so you need to have a lineup to disable that angle. This lineup is thrown from Sunroom, so you need to take control of B main to be able to do so.
This is a must-smoke to have during your executes. It also works well for post plant, as CT often bombards the site with utility from Heaven. Smoking it off on the post plant makes it hard for CT to throw their utilities accurately. Plus, it’s relatively easy to remember and throw consistently.
Similar to B Heaven, CT is also the spot where the Defenders retake or hold the site from. So, smoking it off is mandatory if you want to plant on B. Unlike B-Heaven, you can smoke CT from B main if you have control and cover from your teammates. However, it’s still safer to use a lineup as shown in the video.
It’s quite important to take Mid control on Cache as it provides direct access to both A and B sites. However, Mid is a very common spot for AWP players, and they can quickly become a thorn in your side if you don’t take care of it. The simplest and easiest option is to smoke it off and flush in with some flashes and nades.
While you can throw flashes and nades through the chokepoint since you don’t need to be perfectly accurate, smoking it off is next to impossible without a lineup.
If you are planning full-rush A without taking Mid control, then you need to smoke off Highway, or you will be pinched by the enemy team. This smoke does not block the stairs, so you can easily see someone climbing up.
A Highway smoke usually means that the attackers are deciding to full rush the site. So, defenders often forget about watching Mid. This lineup is done from close to spawn, so you could, in theory, go for a late mid lurk to try for a play.
T-Spawn to A CT/Car
A Car is the most common AWP angle on A site, so smoking it off is a must for any execute. However, it’s tough to smoke it off without peeking at the enemy team, so you need a lineup for it. A CT/Car smoke also cuts off the enemies on site from the rest of the team, and it makes it difficult to rotate out of the site without getting gunned down. Overall, it’s a must-smoke to learn, and your teammates will thank you for it.
Quad Smoke
Quad can be a tough angle to deal with on A site, especially if the CTs know how to use it. If you notice that the enemy team always has a player on Quad that is becoming a thorn in your side, just smoke it off.
You can then follow up with a nade or molly the escape route, and it will become difficult for the player to escape.

CT has a bit more ease when it comes to lineups, it’s easier to smoke off and hold chokepoints. Despite Cache arguably being considered a T-sided map, CT can still take advantage of the small chokepoints on the map.
With that said, you need to learn lineups to retake or control the sites when needed. We have also included lineups to delay plants (default plants).
While it’s easier to smoke B main from CT, it’s not safe, especially if the enemy has B Main control and are waiting for you to peek. So, smoking off B main from heaven is a lot safer. Generally, it’s much safer to throw out utility from B Heaven than CT.
The attackers often like to hold the site from back-site and also plant there when they want a safe plant. This Molly covers the backsite and can be thrown even if B Heaven is smoked off. It can delay the plant or displace the enemy, buying enough time for your teammates to rotate from A. It’s very easy to learn and remember—just a simple run-through.
As mentioned before, Mid control is very important if you want to win rounds on Cache. It’s easier for Ts to take mid control than CTs, as Ts can smoke you off throw flush, and then rush out into mid. So, Mid control for CTs mostly comes down to being aggressive and using utility correctly. The most important is to smoke off the Ts entry point into mid.
This is the most important skill to learn on A. You need to smoke A main off cleanly, in a way that the smoke is not leaking out to the site. To do that consistently, you need to learn a lineup. A good A-main smoke makes it hard for the attackers to push, buying your teammates time to rotate from B to A.
This is a neat little module to stop attackers from planting a default. This can buy you time for your teammates or even get some damage off on an enemy trying to plant. Overall, a really handy lineup to remember.
The return of Cache is nothing but good news for the CS2 community. It’s one of the most beloved maps in CS2 and even more fun to play matches on it. But the map has been completely remastered and looks completely different, meaning your old lineups will not work. So, we decided to find and create some easy lineups for you to remember so you don’t have to worry about them when the map is officially added to the pool.
