Sencux, how does it feel to finally be part of and going into the EU LCS?

Sencux: Of course it feels good since I’ve been trying for like two years now, since I was 15. I’ve been playing in the Challenger Series, I’m kind of a veteran now so it actually feels pretty good to finally be in now.

We know that the road to get there was a bit rough, but during your best of five with mousesports did you ever doubt that you guys would win?

Sencux: No, I believed we were the better team and I believed we were the better team coming into the finals so I didn’t doubt that we would lose. The fourth game was kind of an unlucky BG.

I don’t really know how many Tahm Kench fans we have out there but what went into the preparation for Wunderwear picking him in the top lane? He’s not usually a common pick in competitive play.

Sencux: It’s something we’ve been scrimming with a few times and it was mainly because we thought we had the disengage and that’s basically why. It’s really bad if you want to run into them, he’s got no mobility, really slow, easy to kite, but if they go to rush into you he’s pretty strong.

You kind of already answered, but did you ever question the viability of Tahm Kench in competitive play?

Sencux: Mmm, yeah. In the beginning I thought he was kind of useless, but then we scrimmed with it and he actually seemed kind of broken because he can 1v1 people so easily. But late game teamfight he doesn’t do too much.

Now transitioning from the Challenger Series to the LCS who are some of the EU LCS players you’re most excited to meet on the rift?

Sencux: Mid, I’m excited to play Nukeduck and Febiven again, they were the two players I played against in the Coke League like a year ago when they were on Cloud 9 Eclipse and NiP. I want to play PowerofEvil on stage, I’ve never played him in a competitive match actually. It’s kind of different playing on a stage rather than being at home in a scrim.

Team Dignitas EU was known for bringing the off-meta picks, what they thought was strong at the time, do you still believe that this trend is going to follow into the LCS?

Sencux: No. Basically when there came a new huge patch for the midlane, like every item would change and we kind of tried out some new picks because obviously it will change the meta. But the other things I don’t think it was UOL style, like they would pull out TF jungle, it wasn’t that big. We’re probably going to play meta when we get into the LCS or maybe our own style, we’ll figure it out.

As a whole, what do you think will be the key to Team Dignitas’ EU succeeding now as an LCS team?

Sencux: It depends on a lot of things, you never know if a patch is going to change the meta completely. I feel like if we start playing like we did at the beginning of Coke League we could potentially have a chance to go to playoffs but for the first week I think we should mainly aim at don’t get to relegation, get to playoffs and maybe get the seventh, safe spot thingy, I don’t know what it’s called.

Thanks so much for doing this interview with me today Sencux, do you people or anybody you’d like to thank?

Sencux: Just Team Dignitas and all our sponsors.
