There are several templates that you can choose from when creating your own island, so pick which one looks the best for the game you are trying to create and explore the different features it comes with! There are several tutorials for creating your own game online, and you don’t have to start out super advanced right from the start. Use Creative in whichever way suits you the best!
Fortnite Festival is a game mode resembling the popular games Guitar Hero and Rock Band. In this game mode, players can assemble a band with their friends and play different songs. Players can select between vocals, bass, lead (guitar), and drums. If you are feeling extra confident, you can select pro lead or pro bass, which requires strumming in addition to pressing the correct note keys. Pick your favorite and get ready to jam!
When you are in the lobby selecting which instrument you want to play, you can also create a setlist of songs to play. Setlists can be anywhere between one and four songs and are played one after another. So, if you have one song you just want to play quickly, you can select one, or if you have a custom four-song setlist you want to try out, add all four! There are songs that are provided to players for free to choose from, or if you have extra V-Bucks, you can purchase songs in the shop when they appear. Just be aware that songs rotate in and out of the shop like skins, so if you see one you like, be sure to grab it while you can.
Lego Fortnite Odyssey is an open-world survival-style game that allows players to create a world with up to seven other players (eight in total) where they can gather resources to create different buildings and items, meet and recruit NPCs along the way, and build their very own world. This game mode is very similar to Minecraft, with a vast landscape to explore, enemies to defeat, and treasures to discover. This is the perfect game for people who love open-world survival games!
Lego Fortnite Brick Life is a cozy lifestyle roleplaying game where you can build a home, work jobs to earn money, and meet new people. Players can customize their home and character and leave at any time, then when you hop back into the action, pick up right where you left off by placing your home back down. This game is a great choice for players who want a laid-back experience compared to the high-action experience of traditional Fortnite.
Ballistic is the new 5v5 tactical shooter game mode that Epic has introduced to Fortnite. Just like any other tactical shooter, teams of five take turns attacking and defending. Attackers have the goal of planting and then defending the bomb at one of the bomb sites until the end of the round. Defenders need to defend these sites from the attackers and then defuse the bomb if it has already been planted. This is a classic game style like Counter Strike and Valorant, but with a Fortnite twist, and is definitely worth giving a shot for players who love both tactical shooters and Fortnite.
