Halloween might be past, but there’s always some time for some good ol’ spooky vibes (and an excuse to splurge on pumpkin spice delights). While some people choose to celebrate Halloween by trick-or-treating or binge-watching slasher movies, others — ahem, us LoL players — tend to use our fall breaks as an excuse to grind it out in Ranked….
But hey, that doesn’t mean we can’t celebrate Halloween in our own way. In fact, Riot has released plenty of Halloween-themed skins that’ll allow you to bring the spooky vibes straight to the Rift! So, get ready for some treats (and hopefully no tricks!). We’ll share the best Halloween-themed skins in League of Legends below.
10. Zombie Brand
Zombie Brand has always been a classic. While it isn’t as creative or as flashy as some of the Halloween skins on offer, there’s nothing quite like slaughtering your enemies as an acid-puking, fiery, grumbling Zombie.
Plus, the recent visual update to Brand back in 2024 gave Zombie Brand an even spookier glow up. The animations are also surprisingly slick and smooth considering its budget-friendly price tag.
9. Witch’s Brew Blitzcrank
Witch’s Brew Blitzcrank is a fun and creative skin — I have to give credit to Riot’s design team for turning a literal mass of metal into a colorful, witchy brew pot. It’s innovative, to say the least, and it’s even more impressive that it works insanely well. The recall is also playful and offers some great comedic relief while still immersing you in the spooky vibes.
But my favorite part of this skin? The fact that there’s now a Sauron-inspired eye in the center of the pot. It’s sure to give your enemies that shiver-down-your-spine feeling and is a nice tribute to the support role.
8. Pumpkinhead Fiddlesticks
Fiddlesticks is an already nightmare-inducing champion — that’s his whole theme, after all. So, I was surprised that Riot managed to design a skin that trumped that and upped his horror factor tenfold. The character model genuinely looks like it came straight out of a horror movie, with its garish expression, ghoulish sound effects, and creepy color palette. It’s a must-buy this season, especially if you love a good scare.
7. Bewitching Miss Fortune
On a (thankfully) much lighter note, we’ve got Bewitching Miss Fortune. This skin is fairly simple — it’s essentially Miss Fortune transformed into a witch — but it’s incredibly polished and gets you in the spooky mood without inducing nightmares. I also love how it has an anime-esque feel to it, with its playful, bright colored hair and flashy, magical particle effects.
6. Bewitching Morgana
Morgana is already channeling her inner witch vibes, so it’s no surprise the Bewitching skin line suits her tremendously well. Bewitching Morgana has a more traditional witchy feel compared to Bewitching MF, with potions, bats, and witchy cackles. The ultimate animation is especially visually impressive and truly turns the Rift into Morgana’s personal coven.
5. Fright Night Shaco
Fright Night is a Tim Burton-inspired skin line that is, in my opinion, one of the most creative lines in the whole game. You really can’t go wrong with any Fright Night skin, though I do particularly love Fright Night Shaco.
The eerie, unsettling aesthetic fits perfectly, considering his whole gimmick is a crazed clown. I would go as far as saying that this skin encapsulates everything Shaco’s base model design should be. I’d be happy to equip this at practically any time of year, not just Halloween! Plus, that recall animation where he jumps out at you toward the screen is something I’ll never get tired of.
4. Fright Night Veigar
As I mentioned earlier, the Fright Night thematic is among one of the best, so it’s no surprise another skin from this line has made the list. Fright Night Veigar takes the Tim Burton vibe a notch further than Fright Night Shaco, with a distinct, sketch-like quality, edgy dark colors, and sharp lines (and even sharper teeth).
The skin isn’t all quality and no substance though. The animations all feel smooth and the sound effects are distinct and Halloween-inspired without being grating on the ears.
3. Count Kledula
All right. Count Kledula is an acquired taste… It’s essentially Kled cosplaying as Dracula while riding a bat-dragon hybrid entity. But personally, I can’t get enough of it. It’s just downright goofy, and after a Final Destination movie marathon? It’s nice to hop into a match with this skin equipped; it always offers some light relief (and a much-needed chuckle). The animations are playful, colorful, and smooth too.
2. Trick or Treat Ekko
Sure, trick-or-treating may be a distant memory nowadays, but who says you can’t live out your childhood once again? This skin transforms Ekko into a trick-or-treater and is sure to give you that sickly sweet nostalgia. You’ll get to “trick” your enemies with flashy particle effects, spooky colors, and Halloween-inspired sound effects, and reap in the “treats” (aka kills).
Jokes aside, the skin is downright phenomenal for Halloween and boasts some of the best attack animations in the game. It truly feels like a legendary skin despite its Epic tier price. Plus, even the splash art is total eye candy.
1. Little Devil Teemo
Look. I can’t not give Little Devil Teemo the number one spot. It’s undeniably one of (if not) the best skins in the whole game! Not only does it look downright hilarious yet equally visually impressive, but it also perfectly honors Teemo’s reputation as the most tilting champion around. To top it off? You (and your opponents) even get a nifty jump scare as his recall plays out —- that facial expression still haunts me to this day.
Little Devil Teemo is available in an array of fun and colorful chromas too, so you’re sure to find a vibe that suits your “spooky” tastes.
Spook Ya Later, Summoner
As our list above has shown, there are plenty of boo-tiful skins available in League that are worth your buck, and you’ll find that many are budget-friendly too!
Now you’ve got your main champion’s look sorted for the Halloween season, it’s time to give your enemies a scare by becoming a better League player (and decimating their health bars). You’ll find plenty of in-depth guides on our blog to suit all different experience levels and needs, so be sure to have a browse in your own time.
