Ludvig "HEAP" Alonso has been turning some heads recently due to his explosive playing style and sudden plays that catch the opponents off-guard. Although not as much of a veteran as some of his teammates on the DignitasVIE squad, HEAP seems ready to tackle the next level.
We've reached out to the young player to learn more about the current state of affairs on the team as well as explore his past in CS:GO and how everything came to be.
HEAP: I think they're going pretty well! Of course, we're not getting all the results we want yet, but I think we're going uphill from here and into the right direction!
HEAP: I think we can say we're satisfied when we reach top 15, so I'm definitely not satisfied yet! The work has to continue so we can progress even further up the rankings.
HEAP: It's always fun that I get some hype from the community and even that I'm catching some eyes on me!
HEAP: No, not really!
HEAP: I have different roles on different maps at the moment. For example, on Nuke, I take more of a lurker role, and on some others, I work more as an entry fragger. We're always adapting and seeing what works best for each player and what's better for the team overall!
HEAP: I feel really confident with my positions right now!
HEAP: It was a friend of my family, actually. He gave me a tip to try out CS, he played it as well. I tried it and... well, I never stopped (laughs). That was around 2014.
HEAP: Yeah!
HEAP: I've always thought that playing seriously and in a competitive environment was more fun than just playing casually, so I started to play in smaller teams in Swedish cups and other local tournaments. It started slowly like that and here we are!
HEAP: No, I'm really, really happy with the place I'm at right now!
HEAP: I got to say it was when I got the contract to become a professional player for Dignitas!
HEAP: I really hope that we as a team can establish ourselves in the top 15 and I want to make sure I can actually perform there as well!
HEAP: We don't have a big tournament booked yet in the next few weeks, but I really hope that we can get the opportunity to prove ourselves in a tier 1 tournament in the near future!
HEAP: I want to thank all the amazing support the fans give me, whether that is by watching our games or giving words of support on Social Media!
