"I do think I'm the greatest of all time. A lot of that comes from just having confidence within yourself," he says. This isn't just empty talk either—he’s been at the top of the game since Fortnite's early days. Bugha notes, "I started literally in Chapter 1, and I'm still here today competing."

The lesson here? Confidence is everything. If you don’t believe in yourself, Bugha says, “you’ve already failed.” So, no matter what you're doing, believe you can win—that’s the first step to success.

Take his rough performance at the 2022 Fortnite Invitational, the first LAN event since the World Cup in 2019. Bugha and his teammate Mero were favorites going in, but didn’t do as well as expected. Regardless, Bugha didn’t let it keep him down. He explains, "I was extremely motivated, and confident going into the future. I wanted to just keep competing, keep playing. This wasn't going to be a moment that I look back at and say, 'oh, I'm quitting after this.'"

Bugha’s advice? Losses happen to everyone. It’s how you bounce back that makes the difference. Stay motivated, learn from your mistakes, and keep grinding.

More Than Just Mechanics: Game Sense Matters

Everyone knows Fortnite is all about fast building, insane edits, and clean shots. But Bugha emphasizes that game sense—knowing when and how to make the right plays—is just as important.

“You don't just base it only off placements. They also want to see how you communicate, talk, how you play,” Bugha explains. Great mechanics can get you far, but smart decisions in-game win championships.

After his World Cup win, Bugha shifted his focus from solo play to team modes like duos and trios. Working with teammates like Mero, Bugha learned how to bring his game sense to the next level. He says, "The way we looked at things differently than others just separated us."

Always Be Ready to Adapt

Fortnite is always changing, with new updates and metas dropping every season. Bugha’s ability to adapt is one of the reasons he’s stayed on top for so long. Whether it’s switching teammates or trying new strategies, he’s always evolving.

For instance, after winning with one team, Bugha decided to switch things up and play with someone new. "After the season with Peter, Mero and I decided we were going to play with each other again," he shares. This flexibility is what keeps him competitive season after season.
