How Much Money Have You Spent in League of Legends
Over the years, you’ve probably spent a fair bit (ahem, wasted) on LoL. However, how much have you actually spent? We’ll find this out today and uncover all your “sins.”

League of Legends is a grueling MOBA that pushes your brain, heart, and reflexes to their limits. However, if you’re anything like me and enjoy slaying your enemies in style, then LoL has probably pushed your wallet to the limit too.
Let’s be real: It’s tough to resist all those flashy skins and swanky chromas, especially since Riot strategically caters to all different tastes. From premium content that makes you feel like a badass in your games — looking at you, God King Garen — to skins that hilariously transform lethal killers into adorable corgis, there’s something for every player.

League of Legends has two main in-game shop currencies: Blue Essence and Riot Points. Blue Essence (BE) is the “free” currency; you earn it simply by playing LoL, whether that’s by participating in matchmade games or completing missions and events. Riot Points (RP), on the other hand, can only be earned by spending real-life money.
You can use RP to purchase a whole range of premium content, including:
If you haven’t already realized from the list above, LoL isn’t a “Pay2Win” game. The content you can buy with real money won’t make you a better player; it’s primarily cosmetic items or content designed to simplify mundane tasks, like account leveling and configuring Rune Pages.
Purchasing RP in League of Legends is a simple and quick process… Not much of a surprise, considering Riot is pretty keen for players to part with their money.
Just open up your client, click the RP money icon located at the top right, and then select the amount of RP you would like to purchase. You can also go into the store directly and hit the “PURCHASE RP” button.
It’s finally time to find out just how much you have spent in the good ol’ Rift. But be warned: Finding out the truth may break your soul — as the saying goes, ignorance is bliss.
The Riot Support website has a dedicated “Show Me the Money” tool that automatically calculates the exact amount you’ve spent in LoL over the years. Here’s how to find (and use) this tool:
If you have multiple accounts, you’ll need to repeat the process for each account to find out the overall amount you’ve spent.
Note: In typical indie game fashion, the “Show Me the Money” tool is currently down for maintenance. Riot has not provided a specific date of when the page will be live again for players to use. In the meantime, use Method Two.
If you want a more detailed overview of the amount you’ve spent, or the dedicated support page is down for maintenance, you’ll need to contact the Riot Support team directly. This involves a little more effort on your part, but it’s still a fairly quick process:
Splurging on League of Legends is by no means a bad thing; investing time and money into something you’re passionate about can truly help boost your emotional well-being.
However, if you are finding that your spending is getting out of control, remember that there are resources out there that can help. Don’t be afraid to reach out and get the support you need.
