How Much Money Have You Spent in League of Legends

Over the years, you’ve probably spent a fair bit (ahem, wasted) on LoL. However, how much have you actually spent? We’ll find this out today and uncover all your “sins.”

League of Legends is a grueling MOBA that pushes your brain, heart, and reflexes to their limits. However, if you’re anything like me and enjoy slaying your enemies in style, then LoL has probably pushed your wallet to the limit too.

Let’s be real: It’s tough to resist all those flashy skins and swanky chromas, especially since Riot strategically caters to all different tastes. From premium content that makes you feel like a badass in your games — looking at you, God King Garen — to skins that hilariously transform lethal killers into adorable corgis, there’s something for every player.

Over the years, you’ve probably spent a fair bit (ahem, wasted) on LoL. However, how much have you actually spent? We’ll find this out today and uncover all your “sins.”

League of Legends: Riot Points (RP) Explained

League of Legends has two main in-game shop currencies: Blue Essence and Riot Points. Blue Essence (BE) is the “free” currency; you earn it simply by playing LoL, whether that’s by participating in matchmade games or completing missions and events. Riot Points (RP), on the other hand, can only be earned by spending real-life money.

You can use RP to purchase a whole range of premium content, including:

  • Champion skins
  • Emotes
  • Chromas
  • Icons
  • Ward skins
  • Event passes
  • EXP boosters
  • Rune pages
  • Eternals
  • Hextech Chests

If you haven’t already realized from the list above, LoL isn’t a “Pay2Win” game. The content you can buy with real money won’t make you a better player; it’s primarily cosmetic items or content designed to simplify mundane tasks, like account leveling and configuring Rune Pages.

How Can I Purchase RP in League of Legends?

Purchasing RP in League of Legends is a simple and quick process… Not much of a surprise, considering Riot is pretty keen for players to part with their money.

Just open up your client, click the RP money icon located at the top right, and then select the amount of RP you would like to purchase. You can also go into the store directly and hit the “PURCHASE RP” button.

How Much Money Have I Spent in League of Legends?

It’s finally time to find out just how much you have spent in the good ol’ Rift. But be warned: Finding out the truth may break your soul — as the saying goes, ignorance is bliss.

Method 1: Use Riot’s Dedicated “Show Me the Money” Tool

The Riot Support website has a dedicated “Show Me the Money” tool that automatically calculates the exact amount you’ve spent in LoL over the years. Here’s how to find (and use) this tool:

  1. Navigate to the Riot Games Support website and open the dedicated “How Much Money Have I Spent in LoL?” page
  2. Follow the steps outlined. You’ll need to sign in to your account so that Riot can access your player data
  3. Hit the “Show Me the Money” button and pray the number doesn’t hit the triple digits. Do keep in mind that this number only reflects the money you’ve spent in your current region. If you swapped regions at some point, you will need to contact the support team for a more accurate overview

If you have multiple accounts, you’ll need to repeat the process for each account to find out the overall amount you’ve spent.

Note: In typical indie game fashion, the “Show Me the Money” tool is currently down for maintenance. Riot has not provided a specific date of when the page will be live again for players to use. In the meantime, use Method Two.

Method 2: Submit a Riot Games Support Ticket

If you want a more detailed overview of the amount you’ve spent, or the dedicated support page is down for maintenance, you’ll need to contact the Riot Support team directly. This involves a little more effort on your part, but it’s still a fairly quick process:

  1. Go to the official Riot Games Support website
  2. Sign in to your Riot Games account
  3. Navigate to the Submit a Support Ticket page
  4. Under “Choose a request type,” click “Account Management, Data Requests, or Deletion”
  5. Under the “Please select your inquiry” option, click ‘Formal personal data request”
  6. This will generate an additional “Please select your inquiry” drop-down menu. When this question pops up, select “I want to know how much money I’ve spent with Riot Games”
  7. The “Show Me the Money” tool should show up automatically once you’ve completed step 6. Simply click the “Show me the Money” button. If you require further information, or the button still isn’t working, proceed to step 8
  8. In the “Description” box, state that you would like to know the total amount of money you have spent on LoL. Include information relating to region changes and other accounts you own
  9. Hit the “Submit” button to send off your support ticket. Expect Riot to respond within 3-5 working business days, or longer if your personal data collection needs are more complex
