Enhanced Weapons are a part of this season. They are Mythic Weapons, but getting one of them? Well, that is not as easy anymore.
Mythic Weapons have become a staple for every Fortnite season, and Chapter 6 is no exception. This time around, they are called Enhanced Weapons. But the name isn’t the only thing that’s changed. The method of getting your hands on one of these weapons is now a bit different.
It isn’t mentioned anywhere in detail where and how to get your hands on these super-powered weapons. To help you out, this is a detailed guide on how to get enhanced weapons in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1.
Enhanced Weapons are superior versions of the weapons in Fortnite Chapter 6. They are more damaging, and have a faster fire and reload speed. You could think of them as a rarity above the Legendary. However, only one of each Enhanced Weapon can be found in a game.
These weapons are so powerful that players fight every match to get their hands on them. A player carrying an enhanced weapon has a huge advantage because these weapons can shred enemies if they land in the hands of the right player.
In Fortnite Chapter 6 there are currently seven enhanced weapons that you can find in a match.
Each of them has better stats than their normal counterparts. This includes damage, fire rate, reload speed, build damage, etc. In short, these are super overpowered, but they are balanced by the difficulty to get them and there is only one of each.
Fighting to get them is a high-risk, high-reward endeavor so it's up to you to decide if they are worth it.
The process to get a Mythic Weapon in theory is the same. You have to defeat a boss and that boss is one of the enhanced weapons. But, what makes it confusing this season is that there are seven enhanced weapons and only two bosses. So, how do you get the rest?
Let’s start with the Night Rose Veiled Precision SMG, getting this weapon is the same as all previous seasons. Fight the boss and they will drop it. To get your hands on the Night Rose Veiled Precision SMG, go to Demon’s Dojo and defeat Night Rose.
When you defeat her she will drop the Night Rose Veiled Precision SMG along with a medallion and a boon. Be sure to loot up and be prepared as boss fights in this season are quite crazy. Night Rose has two phases and each is more deadly than the other.
For the remaining weapons, there is a bit of RNG. The rest are dropped by the Shogun X boss. At the start of the match, you will find him roaming somewhere on the map. His location is marked on the map by a Samurai Mask icon.
You can go fight him there. Similar to Night Rose he also has two phases and different attacks that you need to be careful of.
When you get him to 25% health he will run away, teleporting to another random location. But he leaves behind one of the Enhanced Weapons. Which one it is, however, is completely random.
However, you can battle him again for another weapon. You can either chase him to the location he teleported to and wait for the fourth storm circle when the Shogun Arena spawns in the air.
In Arena, you can challenge him again for the Enhanced Typhoon Blade and another random mythic along with the Shogun Medallion. Just defeat him and all of this will be yours. Keep in mind, this time he is much stronger, faster, and deals much more damage.
That’s pretty much how you get all the enhanced weapons in Fortnite. In reality, you can’t find all of them in a single match, you can at the max get three but that's about it.
Of course, even among Enhanced Weapons, all of them are not equal. Some are just better than others so, here is a ranking of all of them from best to worst.
Enhanced Sentinel Pump: It’s never wrong to go for a strong pump, it’s the primary weapon in your arsenal and most of the fights usually start and end with a pump shot. So, the best-enhanced weapon is going to be the pump shotgun.
Night Rose Veiled Precision SMG: The Veiled Precision SMG is one of the best weapons this season, it is extremely fast with almost no recoil, which makes it deadly in close quarters. The enhanced variant is going to be even more deadly.
Enhanced Holo Twister Rifle: Similar to the shotgun, an AR is essential for every loadout. The Enhanced Holo Twister is your best bet for long-range combat, and even more so now as there are no snipers this season.
Enhanced Fury Assault Rifle: The Fury assault rifle is a great alternative too, however, it lacks a scope which is why it’s below the Holo Twister. Generally, it’s up to you to carry what you like but rifles are the only long-range weapon this season and this weapon having no scope is a big dealbreaker
Enhanced TwinFire Auto Shotgun: A lot of players don’t like Auto Shotguns as their effective range is quite short. This is why it’s so below the ranking. It’s not a bad weapon in any way, but the Sentinel Pump is just margins better.
Enhanced Oni Shotgun: Oni Shotgun is only limited by its two-shot magazine. It’s by far the worst shotgun this season, it deals less damage than the Sentinel and has less ammo. The only thing going for it is the range, but that’s not enough to pick it over the other weapons.
Enhanced Typhoon Blade: The Typhoon Blade on its own is really strong and it should not last. The only reason it is here is because there is no difference in damage or any other stat between the normal and enhanced variants. The enhanced variant just lasts longer.
