How to play the greatest champion in the league

An in-depth, high detail guide to the cutest champion

There is no champion in league of legends that requires as much raw mechanical skill and patience as Teemo. Lee Sin and Elise are numb-skull champs in comparison. However, there is reward for such a difficult character. Teemo also happens to be the greatest champion in the game. Now you may be asking why Teemo sees very little competitive play; as stated before, he is just so hard to play.

His skill set can be very confusing, Reginald of TSM once dared to play Teemo in a competitive match. Reginald was so lost by the complexity of Teemo, that he didn't even buy the right items. Truly, Reginald's poor performance was testament to the legendary reputation of Teemo. Luckily I am here for you to teach you how to play the number 1 champion in League of Legends. Let's devle into this deep, highly detailed, pro as heck guide.

1. What to build on Teemo

Honestly if you just buy Liandry's Torment it doesn't matter what else you buy if it atleast increases your ability power.

2. Early Game

First you want to level up your Blinding Dart (Q). This is where Teemo begins to get difficult. Every time your Blinding Dart is off cooldown, hover your mouse cursor over the enemy laner and press the Q button on your keyboard really fast. Eventually your blinding dart will fly out and hit the enemy. Thus your enemy is left without the ability to auto attack. Now it gets really tricky, what to do with the little time you have while your enemy is blinded. Most would advise you try to land a few auto attacks on your enemy. However, psychological warfare is more important. Take the time to stop and type "/Taunt" this will make the enemy rage and eventually, as the professionals put it, tilt.

3. Team Fights

Now that your K/D/A is 10/0/0 you can start to carry the game for your lesser teammates. It is important that you know how to carry with Teemo. Like any regular game, Baron is a priority for your team. Vision is imperative to winning at baron, thus you must exploit Teemo's passive. Teemo's passive is Ward-Mode. If Teemo stands still for a short moment, he becomes invisible. You can then wait for the enemy team to try and take baron, promptly ambushing them and wiping them out for an easy win.

4. Aftermath

After a brutal match, the enemy team might try to report you for being an unskilled player. This is typical as most people have to much trouble trying to grasp who exactly Teemo is. Luckily this reported offense can only impact your gameplay in normals, not ranked.

After reading such a professional guide (that I have yet to upload to mobafire and/or solomid), you no doubt have the idea that you can now solo carry yourself from bronze to challenger, to korean bronze. While it may be possible now, you must be wary as there is only one champion who can challenge Teemo outright. This guide can't properly cover battling this champion as it all comes down to the players of both champs. I might, however, write a guide on this champion in the future; as he is the only champion that is just as complex and difficult as Teemo.

I also had the chance to ask Team Dignitas' Crumbzz what he thought about Teemo in general.

"I think Teemo sucks *** in team fights, but can 1v1 all day" - Crumbzz
