Moan Binds are, without a doubt, one of the coolest and, at the same time, annoying findings players did recently on CS:GO. You can now use the death-cry of your character as many times as you want, whenever you want. You can already see where this is going.
Naturally, these findings started appearing recently on Reddit, where the immense community worked together to find exactly what console command needed to be executed for this to be enabled. In fact, there are already some reaction compilations to this bind on YouTube - some people find it funny, others find it annoying and there are even people who laugh at first but quickly get annoyed at how… weird the sound can be.
In this article, I’ll teach you how to set-up the moan bind so that you can annoy all your teammates! At least until you get kicked from the server…
First of all, you need to have your console enabled. I suppose that, since you’re looking for this kind of content, you most likely already have it enabled, but just for the sake of it, here’s how to enable it:
With that out of the way, let’s get to what we are here for:
bind j “playerradio deathcry TEXTHERE”
It’s as simple as that, that’s the entire command you need to insert in your console and you can now use it. Of course, you can customize it to your liking and I’m going to teach you exactly that next. The different parts of the command have different reasons for being there and we’re going to take a look at them individually:
It really is as simple as it looks! You can also add it to your config file to make sure it loads every time you start the game. The best part is that you can even use different commands, as long as they exist in-game - remember that you’re using the automated radio commands that are already present in the game files.
You can use stuff like LastManStanding, Help, WonRoundQuickly, and FriendlyFire. In fact, you should really use them, since the death-cry one can become somewhat… unpleasant to some players’ ears, let’s just leave it like that.
Here are a few examples of binds you can use and add to your config:
Some of these binds, especially if accompanied by the perfect flavor text, can make some of your opponents tilted off the face of the earth. Just remember to keep a friendly environment, and avoid becoming toxic if someone starts insulting you - just mute and report.
One important thing to note - if you have a config file, the bind won’t work if you use a key that’s already “hard” bound on the file.
It’s unsure if Valve will ever fix this bind, as the moaning one can be really annoying sometimes and might even trigger some alarms to people that are unsure of what’s happening on the screen. Until then, it’s all in good fun!
Thank you for reading this article! Hopefully, the instructions are easy to follow and you can quickly be using your new binds as soon as the queue pops up! You can reach out to me for suggestions or feedback via Twitter!
