How To Play the OG Fortnite Map Again After Season 4 Chapter 4

If you really did enjoy the OG Fortnite map, not all hope is lost, there are still some ways to enjoy it after its December 2nd departure.

The OG Fortnite map came and went in what seemed like a short amount of time. Most maps that are introduced to the game stay for an extended period, with large updates rolling out over the course of the map’s lifespan. In this case, we only got to reminisce about the nostalgia of the OG map for about a month before it left us.

While Epic has added previous locations to newer maps in the past like Greasy Grove and Retail Row, sometimes players may want a specifically tailored experience. However, there are some ways to enjoy the original map even though it might not be the featured map in the game.

Creative 2.0

Creative 2.0 has allowed players to create experiences and games to share with others since its launch. The OG map is no exception, there are several maps in Creative 2.0 that allow players to experience the OG Fortnite map in different ways. Here we are going to list some different creative islands that allow players to enjoy the OG map one way or another.

If at any time you find that some of these suggestions may not be up your alley, don’t forget to check out the Creative 2.0 search menu for maps and islands that other players have made that are more in line with what you may be looking for. You can also look online for islands as well, YouTube, Reddit, and several other platforms are always full of fun new maps to check out.

Retail Zone Wars by trogers-22

This map spawns players in Retail Row with the storm closing in around them shortly after spawning. Once the game begins, loot will spawn in front of the players to pick up and then jump into the action. The map itself has several iconic parts of Retail Row, with some other added structures as well. This map is perfect for players who are big fans of the location and are looking for some high-action late-game brawling. The island code for this map is 2724-6434-2189.

OG Tilted Hotdrop by hassanieman

The Iconic location of Tilted Towers is loved by so many players in the Fortnite community. This map equips players with a loadout and automatically sets the circle to Tilted Towers. This map is a great way to practice close-range fights or just a fun way to enjoy the location with friends. The map even has all the usual chest spawns so that players can get additional supplies if they run out too fast. Overall, this map is a great way to experience the charm of Tilted Towers with friends and other players. The island code for this map is 2425-3927-5122.

OG Zonewars by setty

This late-game practice map is a great way to test your skills when the storm is closing in. This map currently features parts of Pleasant Park, Retail Row, and Tilted Towers practice. When the countdown starts you will be spawned with a predetermined loadout in a small moving storm circle. Portions of the map are cut off, which allows for higher action close quarters to build fights. This map is a great way to practice different high-stakes late-game fights while also enjoying some of the different locations from the OG map. The island code for this map is 6682-8303-4978.

Making Your Own Map

As it was brought up at the beginning of this article, Creative 2.0 gives players so many tools to create their own experiences. You are no exception to this, after all, public maps might not be your cup of tea, and you want to take a spin on creating your own custom experience. Creative 2.0 allows you to create your own island just the way you like it. There are several assets that allow you to create your own custom OG map experience. Paradise Palms, Lonely Lodge, Weeping Woods, and so many other classic POIs have different structures and assets to choose from. There are even starter templates of Greasy Grove and Titled Towers that can get you started on making your personalized OG map.

It doesn't stop there though, Creative 2.0 also allows you to add any weapon or consumable past or present to your map. So, you can even create personalized OG loadouts that you want players to start with or fill chests with some of your favorite OG items. From the original AR and Scar to the OG Pump and Tactical Shotguns, you can easily make your very own custom OG experience right in Creative 2.0. While it may be daunting for some players to saddle up and create their own island, Epic makes it easy for players to create their own maps in-game, including the assets of the OG map, shows that they understand its importance to players.

Conclusion

While these might not be the entire OG map experience, the previous maps are just some of the ways you can enjoy some of the different features of the OG Map. There is no telling whether Epic with bring back the OG map again as they did this past November. While it’s sad for some that the original map will not be featured anymore (at least for now), there are still other ways you can enjoy it while also playing the new maps that Epic is introducing as well. After all, it wouldn’t be as special if they kept the OG map year long, it makes it that much more enjoyable when it comes back for a limited time like this.
