Hunting for Fun: Chaos Hunter

A Hunter Aggro Variant Designed for Fun, Casual Hearthstone Matches.

Every once in a while, it is good to step away from the Hearthstone ranked ladder and play a few matches with friends! While these games can sometimes be just as competitive as ranked matches, there are other times where it is a contest to see who is trolling harder. In this guide, I will be discussing my casual Hunter aggro deviant deck, which I call Chaos Hunter.

Chaos Hunter is a casual deck that puts full faith in the power of RNG and confusing your opponent. The Hunter class allows us to have a nice set of “Secret” cards, which help contribute to our randomness and confusion. The Hunter class power also lets us be a little competitive if we want!

My Chaos Hunter list is below:

Let’s breakdown the list!

Minions

-Webspinner: Gives a random beast and combos with the Kill Command.

-Knife Juggler: Hits random enemy characters for 1 point of damage per minion that enters the battlefield. The question is whether he’ll hit the right one…

-Lorewalker Cho: Our panda friend leads to some hilarious moments if he can stay out on the board. Important notes for this list: He does reveal your secrets, so be careful playing Cho before your secrets (unless you want your opponent to know!). Since we have beasts, Kill Command works great with Cho as we get more value out of it.

-Mad Bomber: He’s mad and bad and perfect for this deck. No one know what he’ll blow up, but that is exactly why he fits.

-Mad Scientist: He’s also mad, but he still hasn’t completely lost his mind. He’s here to put all the secrets out on the table.

-Demolisher: “Rag’s little helper” or “The Little Train that Might Do?” His free random every turn can actually do some serious work if left unattended.

-Mind Control Tech: We’re here to confuse our opponent’s mind, plus this guy also has a random battlecry making him perfect.

-Tinkmaster Overspark: While his nerf took him out of competitive play a long time ago, he still does work for this deck! You and your opponent will never know what you’re going to get. Maybe a 5/5 or a 1/1.

-Gelbin Mekkatorque: Where else have you seen this card used in a deck before? Never until now right? Well he is great in this deck, because he’s going to give us a random robot that may help us or an opponent.

-Ragnaros the Firelord: The Great Lord of RNG in Hearthstone. A giant 8 damage fireball is flying somewhere every turn.

Spells

-All the Secrets: These all add to the confusion and randomness. It’s a game within a game. You’re really playing “What Secret is it?” instead of a Hearthstone match.

-Animal Companion: Gives us a random beast. Heck yes, welcome to the RNG family, Huffer, Leokk, and Misha.

-Deadly Shot: Kills a random minion. Will it kill the 1/1 soldier or the Sylvanas Windrunner?

-Kill Command: Has great synergy with a couple cards in the deck, allows us to be competitive if we want, and it can remove threats off the board so you can troll around for longer :)

-Unleash the Hounds: We’re playing Hunter so we have to include it. Helps with Knife Juggler, and lets us clean up Mad Bomber’s mess.

Weapons

-Eaglehorn Bow: Since we have so many secrets, it’s worth having a copy of the bow in the deck.

Notable Substitutions

This deck is a little heavy on non-meta legendary rarity cards, since they do ridiculous things. If you do not have the legendary cards, you can always sub them out for:

-Nat Pagle (still a legendary, but more common)

-Additional Secrets

-Mind Control Tech

-Multi-shot

-Master Swordsmith

-The Infamous Alarm-O-Bot

I hope you enjoyed this guide, and I hope the deck brings you many laughs. Always remember, Hearthstone is foremost a video game, it is supposed to be fun!
