After a solid performance to secure their spot in the European Challenger Series, I sat down with Chres 'Sencux' Laursen to have a quick talk on the matches and his latest accolades.

During game one against Mouse, Stress praised you like three times about you practicing your Azir and then you and Obvious had a real good time in the midlane, pinballing Viktor back and forth. So tell me about game one, you mentioned a little earlier that it was a bit stompy.
Sencux: It kind of snowballed out of control. Obvious and I got some good ganks off at mid and botlane actually already got first blood, I think it was level two or three. After all those kills and advantages, we took it slow, got the sneaky Baron and pushed in. We didn't need to rush, we just took it slow and we ended the game from there.
Obvious got a lot of ganks off mid, but then game two, he ganked top quite a lot more. Did you guys talk out the jungle pathing beforehand or was it more you see the opportunities and he saw mid first game, then top second game?
Sencux: We knew already, going into the game, that Mouse's jungler Dan focused a lot on top and completely left bot alone. So they would just push, and we knew that our botlane was a lot stronger so we just let them 2v2 and relied on them winning alone. Obvious saw the opportunity with playing Rek'Sai and the opportunity to gank the Gnar when we have Maokai/Rek'Sai, so he just went for it. It was already our game plan game one, but we couldn't manage to do it and it was a lot easier for us to gank mid when I was Azir because me and Obvious have done it so many times.
Done that particular champion combination?
Sencux: It could be with Rek'Sai, Eve, any jungler, it's just that he trusted me when I say he has to come mid. I'll bait them in and I'll throw them back into him and it's basically a free kill.
You picked Azir game one, Ekko was open the first game but the second game yo udecided to go for him as the first competitive Ekko ever. Why'd you pick him? What'd you see in him for competitive play?
Sencux: First game I wanted to be more comfortable on a champion that I knew. I'm pretty comfortable on Azir right now, I've played Azir so many times. Into Viktor I didn't want to play Ekko because I've not played the champ that much, especially against that. So I wasn't sure how it would go and I didn't want to play it into their comp there. When they picked the AP Kog'Maw I felt pretty comfortable because I would have a free lane and I'm going to outscale him in a way that I'm better in teamfighting and he's better in poke. I felt like we had the engage to just dive in on them all the time.
Speaking of some of the champions you're really comfortable and known for; LeBlanc. You keep saying that people like to ban it against you a lot, but what do you think about her changes? Is she bannable or playable?
Sencux: No, I think she's pretty ruined right now. You can almost dodge her W but just walking and her E, the width on it got nerfed as well. I don't think we're going to see her again. They're nerfing every single assassin right now and then they put in Ekko in the meta, it's kind of weird.
Looking forward to the future stuff you guys have, you've got a tournament coming up in Belgium and then doing some bootcamping right after that up until the Challenger Series?
Sencux: We've got the eSports Festival in Belgium and then we're going to bootcamp in Cologne for the Coke League games we have that week.
Are the teams from the eSports Festival going to be the same from the Challenger Series?
Sencux: Most of them I think, yeah. There's eight teams at the festival and there's six teams at the Coke League so I think maybe all six will go.
Coming into the CS, how do you guys think you stack up?
Sencux: I think we're doing pretty well in terms of scrims and the games we just had, I think we can definitely fight for the best Challenger spot. Gamers2 has a good lineup as well and Denial, Wickd's team, they're also pretty good. I feel like the three other teams, Wolves Academy, Reason Gaming and Mouse, I don't know about those three to be honest. But I feel like the other three we're going to be in the top.
Thanks for the time, man. Any shoutouts?
Sencux: Shoutouts to our sponsors, especially Alienware for my nice laptop and Corsair for the gear!
