I don’t really have a question, but... Youngbae are you enjoying Cupid now that he is in the meta and since you seem to play him so well? YoungBae: Be small n asian ez. My motivation is not making it to worlds and coming back stronger, the reason I want to succeed is for myself, my family and my fans, if it wasn’t for them I wouldn’t have gotten so far.

YoungBae: My name is actually the real name of my favourite korean singer called taeyang, that’s where I got the name.

What do you think is the biggest strength of your team? I’m also curious, if you think the top teams in EU from last season were the best two teams or did they just get hot at the right time? (gamana86)

ShadowNightmare: The biggest strength of our team is experience. We have all been in top teams before, so we know what is expected of us and know exactly what it takes to become a top team once again.

Barn: I think some of our strengths are how aggressive most of our players are - Frosty + Variety and Frosty + Shadow synergize really well together, but they’re also all really intelligent players that put a lot of thought into their builds and strategies we use.

You guys are kind of like super heroes to me. Getting to play Smite at a professional level would be a dream come true. How did you all get into professional Smite? (Shelledpanda)

YoungBae: I’ve been playing this game since the start, which was like two to three years ago and luckilly I got noticed.

Variety: I started looking for teams on smite LFM, orginally, that’s where I met Korinyo and Shaggyshenk and we made a team. After, we became Team Coast and came second at the SPL kick off LAN, sadly things didn’t go out too well so we decided to call it there as a team. Then I got asked to join Shadow and Frosty since Funball and Xaliea left and now here I am in the SPL again with my new team.

ShadowNightmare: I’m not sure about my team mates, but for me I got recognized in ranked and was asked to join a team. This was back in closed beta near the start of competitive smite. From there my competitive reputation has allowed me to progress forward.

Shelledpanda: Thanks for the quick reply! I have a million questions to ask, but I’ll try to narrow it down to only a couple. What is your day to day life like? Aka, do you have a job, how much Smite do you play, are you in school? I’m just very curious about pretty much everything you guys do because competitively is something I would love to get into.

ShadowNightmare: I don’t have a job but currently i attend college. I only go to two days a week so for the other five I play smite, and of course exercise. Gotta stay healthy (Y).

YoungBae: Red bull because it gives me wings

Variety: I’m 17 so I’m going to have to say lemonade ;)

Barn: Maybe he just really likes lemonade.

ShadowNightmare: He wasn’t referring to alcohol. Variety has a house hold age limit on most drinks. Coca Cola, Dr. Pepper all have a minimum age of 18 in variety’s household. Lemonade is the only available drink excluding water.

How do you feel about playing Titan and SK Gaming? Do you think the overall EU SPL will be very competitive or a couple teams ( or one) will dominate the scene, like COGR last season for NA? (Mojocattpro)

ShadowNightmare: In general I feel EU has always been close and never dominated by a single team. I think EU will be very competitive and all six teams will have a difficult time of making it to the top.

What are you favourite colours? (ManBearPaul)

ShadowNightmare: I usually like set colours. For now I like blue and black but sometimes I prefer white and gold.

Question to Youngbae:
Got any tips for me to play against Xbala in duo lane? How to position? If I get close to the minions I get hit by his 1. If I get away from them I get hit for 600 damage from his 2+3? And also, my main ADC in season 1 was anhur, you think he’s still viable? (Elii236)

Youngbae: Yeah anhur is still viable, but your best bet is to either play cupid or freya against Xbal. Just play aggressive with cupid, when you hit 5 ult him straight away. With freya you kind of have to play a bit more passive and get hastened fatalis + boots done before you can trade with xbal.

Do any of you guys like the Arena game mode? Why so or why not? Or do you just stick to Conquest? (Giga7777)

Variety: I tend to stick to conquest, but I love playing arena as well.

Youngbae how do you feel about anhur? :/ Variety do you think osiris is still a solid pick? (Javiklegrand)

Youngbae:Anhur is still good, you just need a support that can push like ymir or something

Frezz00: My favorite support must be sun wukong :D He is mobile provides a lot of peel for the team and does huge amount of damage early game. The necessary suport item would probably be reinforced shoes.
