Apart from learning how to move your character and cast that character's spells, learning how to CS is probably one of THE most important things you can learn when playing a game in League of Legends. The difference in 10 CS might mean that you're coming back to lane with the item you wanted along with some wards and a few potions, which can greatly increase your survivability in lane. Take away another 10 creeps to your score, and all of sudden you can't even buy that item you wanted to get on your first buy back.

Now there are many other ways to earn gold in League of Legends. Killing dragons, Baron Nashors, champions, turrets and jungle camps will all add towards your total amount of gold gained, yet not all of these sources of income are guaranteed as you maneuver from game to game. In some games you'll find your team capitalizes on its advantage really well and manages to take three dragons, in other games dragon just isn't that much of a priority to your team. What I mean to say is that a lot of these other sources of incomes are unreliable, or aren't yours to begin with. Your most reliable source of income for these first 10-15 minutes of the game will be the creeps that waddle down the wave to fight to their deaths and offer you their bounties. Thus learning to CS better not only means being more wealthy but it opens up more oppurtunities to control your wave with better item purchases after fewer buy backs.

In the video below, I'll be covering mostly how to increase your mechanical skill of CSing, as it's the most basic yet fundamental issue you must start with in order to get better at the game. I then begin to cover a bit about multi-tasking both CSing and harassing but that will be covered in more detail at some point in the future within a new video.
