Fortnite’s Chapter 4 has introduced a brand-new map with tons of new POIs and locations. If you're looking for big fights and guaranteed good loot, I would recommend locations like the Citadel and Anvil Square. However, those big locations might be a bit too populated for other people. That is why if you are looking for a more laid-back POI that still has some good loot, this guide will break down some of the best secret landing spots for the new Chapter.
Crude Harbor
On the top right area of the map, right next to Beep ‘N Bounce, there will be an unnamed location called Crude Harbor.
With very few players landing here, this is a great spot for solos or for a team who wants to have a more chill game. There’s potential to get at least 17 chests and a couple of slurp barrels to shield up with.
The shipping containers, crane, and many more objects allow for quick and easy access to metal with brick and wood scattered around the area as well. There’s also an NPC that spawns in this area called Aura. She sells Chug Splashes and is available for hire. If you like to hold onto fish, there's a port with a boat nearby towards the back. You can find fishing holes and ice boxes to save up on heals or maybe find a couple more weapons.
If you are looking to rotate from this area, there are several ways to do so. Climbing on top of the hill just a little bit southeast, you can find a zipline that will take you directly to Aegis Temple. There are also a couple of cars and a dirt bike you can find with several gas cans around if you want to travel quickly. Other locations nearby are Gold Cavern and Solitary Shrine southwest of Crude Harbor. These locations also offer quick loot and maybe a couple of players. These locations are also good to rotate to as they lead closer to the center of the island.
Meadow Mansion
This next location will be more towards the south of the map, west of Frenzy Fields. It’s also an unnamed location called Meadow Mansion.
Being located near Frenzy Fields, this POI is great if you are looking for a safer approach to get great loot. As you’re gliding in, you will immediately see a couple of spots with ground loot. This is great if there are people landing with you and you need some protection quickly. With at least 9 chests and some Holo Chests, you are bound to find some great weapons here. What makes this location really great too are the several coolers scattered around the mansion. These coolers contain Chug Splashes, so don’t forget to loot them.
This location will yield you max Chug Splashes along with some extra heals, but you might want to avoid taking any shields immediately. There are mushrooms outside on the south and north sides of the mansion to get you to 50 shields to save the potions for later. The mansion also has a lot of sources for brick and wood to stock up on before heading out. This is a solid location for a team or solo to land at who aren’t looking to fight a lot of people when landing.
If things go awry, there’s a Reboot Van outside the main entrance. A car and a dirt bike can spawn here for quick travel if need be. Rotating east to Frenzy Fields can be good if you want to clean up there. Otherwise, going north will lead you to Shattered Slabs and Pleasant Passage, which have great loot potential.
Secluded Spire
If you prefer to land more toward the center of the map, then this location is for you. Southwest of Slappy Shores you will find Secluded Spire.
This one is more for the solo players out there. You won’t find many people here but, if someone is landing with you, try landing on the very top to get a head start on some ground loot or weapons. What makes this spot so good are the Holo Chests and having 2 Oathbound Chests spawns. Along with that are a couple of regular chests and some buildings close by if you need some more loot. The Oathbound Chests are the key to this location, as they drop Gold Bars and rare weapons such as the new Shockwave Hammer and Ex-Caliber Rifle. Before you leave, stock up on brick by breaking down the walls.
Being closer to the middle of the island, you have many options for rotations. The two big locations are Faulty Splits down south and Slappy Shores to the east, but there are a lot more landmarks you can go to. I’d recommend you follow the circle and go from there. Being on top of a hill, you have a great vantage point over the surrounding area, so use that to your advantage as well.
Conclusion
Finding out where you and your teammates will drop can be a bit difficult, especially in Arena.
Understanding what and where the best POIs are is really beneficial. Sometimes the most populated locations aren’t the best and lead to an early game over. That’s why each of the locations I talked about was unnamed. Give some other unnamed locations a shot and see how you like them. Going over the ones I talked about: Crude Harbor is good for high chests and metal, Meadow Mansion is good for building up shields and brick, and Secluded Spire is good for being in the center and having Oathbound Chests. Whether you use these locations as a backup plan or your main drop point, it’s all up to you!
