Marvel Rivals is arguably the most iconic multiplayer game of all time. By blending Overwatch-like mechanics with iconic superheroes, NetEase has cooked something entirely out of the box that never fails to deliver non-stop action.
Speaking of action, Marvel Rivals takes a unique approach to keeping players immersed. As it features almost every hero from the MCU, each handles things differently on the battlefield. However, they all share one thing in common: Ultimates.
As the name already suggests, Ultimates, once built up, do peak damage to the enemies. While every character has a game-changing effect, the nature of these abilities varies between them. Some are good, and some have the highest impact. That said, here are some of the strongest Ultimates in Marvel Rivals—the ones opponents fear the most.

Starting this list with Moon Knight’s hardcore portal. Opponents stand no chance if they are caught without escape abilities against its frequent, high-damage strikes. With Khonshu’s talons invoked, the portal covers a wide area around enemies. This serves as a powerful entry denial that is unforgiving for those unable to disengage in time.
Hand of Khonshu is ideal for causing mid-range chaos during team fights, pressuring enemies caught within its radius. Even when it's weak against shields and support Ultimates, the damage consistency can easily overwhelm any trapped Strategists. Overall, it’s a great ult to use, especially if the enemies are trapped or crowd-controlled by your team.

Another dominant Ultimate in Marvel Rivals is Hela’s. Once her meter skyrockets, she is an unstoppable threat to her enemies. Thanks to a 1000HP shield, some teams may attempt to force her down, but most of the time, enemies will run like hell to get away.
Her Shield isn’t the only threat here. The 10-second span of her Ultimate also unleashes volleys of Nastrond Crows. Just 2-3 hits from these are enough to shred enemies and make them taste dust. Such serious damage output, paired with an invincible shield, helps Hela put duelist pressure in sustained fights.

Doctor Strange takes things a little differently on the battlefield. With his Ultimate activated, he shows no mercy to the enemies nearby. His signature move consists of ejecting soul afterimages of the competition. After that, he does double damage to the victim, one to the original body and another to the projection.
Additionally, Dr. Strange’s shield also provides an edge through coordinated plays that ultimately block enemy ults and guard teammates. In other words, Doctor Strange is all about converting chaotic brawls into controlled slaughters.

Peni Parker’s Ultimate is something that you don’t want to encounter in a typical Marvel Rivals showdown. The character’s 12-second boosted health charge tops up the mech, helping her shoot enemies in the air and triggering all the prior mines.
As a result, the intense AoE damage wipes out the support and impacts duelists just when they are trying to escape. Peni’s ultimate is all about positioning. With ideal nest placement, she can impact clustered foes, making her a valuable damage tool for backline dives.

Winter Soldier’s Ultimate isn’t a one-time move and can be used with short delays. During his showtime, he’s a full-on multi-kill machine that hits, takes down, and returns for more. Thanks to the character’s repeated slams, expect low-health enemies to be wiped out quickly, or else take significant damage, making them a one-hit-kill for your teammates.
The absolute game-changer here is the Ultimate regeneration, which helps you make constant kills in exchange for, well, kills. Once you activate the ability and manage to get a kill on a Culling-marked enemy, the Ultimate refreshes so you can come back for more chaos. If mastered correctly, players can dominate the battlefield with sustained pressure in prolonged conflicts.

Rocket doesn’t just handle things himself, but boosts his team as well. With his Ultimate triggered, all the teammates within his zone’s premises get a 40% damage boost and a significant health shield bonus of 100/s. All of this happens thanks to a cosmic yarn amplifier, which Raccoon deploys to charge the allies.
Additionally, the Ultimate is also heavy on defense. With all the intense damage thrown towards them, they try to increase their firepower to defend themselves. However, Rocket’s ability also offers lingering heals for overtime holds or pushes. This cancels enemy attacks and gives the team a significant edge.

As the name already suggests, Groot’s Ultimate traps enemies and punishes them for the entire duration. Once his Ultimate charges, he can summon a mass of vine clusters that pull enemies into a point and hold them there, dealing constant damage.
On paper, it sounds basic, but honestly, he can come in handy if you want to deal with multiple enemies simultaneously. Additionally, if Groot’s ability is paired with strategists like Raccoon, your team not only deals constant damage but also gets decent treatment on the healing side.

There’s no escaping from Hawkeye even if you excel at defense. This is because his Ultimate reveals all the nearby enemies' afterimages. Now, all he has to do to cause damage is shoot these images. Even if a victim isn’t in his sight or hidden somewhere, escaping from damage is impossible as long as they were in Hawkeye’s line of sight during the afterimage formation.
This punishing Ultimate lasts over 10 seconds and does full damage on quickly fired arrows. If used correctly, it’s perfect for competing against teams with campers who are unaware of the character’s capabilities. But as it relies on line of sight and timing, this ability can leave room for escape if an enemy never shows up in front of you.

Expect the unexpected because it’s Iron Man. This character’s Ultimate is arguably the most satisfying to watch in action as Tony Stark fires a slow-travelling massive energy beam that instantly vaporizes poor enemy strategists and chunks vanguards.
The impact covers around 10 meters of radius with a solid 1000 HP damage. The best thing about this ability is that it has a 2,800 fast recharge and can help you make frequent attacks. In other words, it’s a nightmare for grounded foes who failed to fall back after taking significant damage.

Don’t get fooled by Jeff’s cuteness. Despite being an excellent healer, he’s an absolute monster once you activate his Ultimate. As soon as he digs into the ground, it’s over for enemies. Covering a wide radius, this adorable shark pulls foes into its mouth and moves them with it.
Once inside, enemies suffer from significant damage for a total of seven seconds, which is enough to finish them off. But even if they did survive, it won’t be for long until Jeff spits them out of the map bounds, with an instant kill. Additionally, Jeff also leaves behind an 8-meter radius healing pool at the spot where his ultimate was activated. All of these combined, this adorable shark not only serves as a fantastic healer but also poses a significant threat to the opposing team.
According to us, these are the strongest Ultimates in Marvel Rivals. Each one here is a thing of its own and makes the maximum impact. However, some abilities, such as those of Rocket Raccoon and Groot, work best if paired with other heroes. Regardless of the significant advantage of the Ultimates, keep in mind that skills remain the key factor in success. These abilities can grant you some instant kills, but only if you practice and learn to use them effectively.
