From their most mainstream characters to a few obscure picks, Marvel Rivals is packed with iconic characters—but the voices behind them are just as legendary. The game features an absolutely stacked cast of prominent voice actors whom you’ve seen and recognized in other media. Whether they’re reprising their roles or stepping into new ones, find out more about the voices in Marvel Rivals.

Vanguards

Liam O’Brien as Doctor Strange

Liam O’Brien brings his mystical baritone to the Sorcerer Supreme. He has previously voiced Doctor Strange in many other projects like Marvel Future Revolution, Ultimate Alliance 3, and Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite.

You might recognize him as Gaara from Naruto, Illidan Stormrage in World of Warcraft, and Yasuo in Ruined King. He’s also a Critical Role legend, rolling dice as Vax’ildan, Caleb Widogast and Orym.

James Arnold Taylor as Magneto

Magneto’s commanding presence is none other than James Arnold Taylor. James has reprised his role for the fourth time after coming from Marvel Heroes, Marvel Avengers: Battle For Earth, and Marvel Powers United VR.

Star Wars fans know his iconic voice as Obi-Wan Kenobi from both the Clone Wars TV series and video games. He also lends his voice to Ratchet from Ratchet & Clank and Tidus in Final Fantasy.

Brian Bloom as Captain America

Brian Bloom has voiced Captain America since 2010. He has led the charge on this character from shows to games, and he’s not missing his calling in Marvel Rivals. However, this is not his only role for Marvel, as he has also voiced the Silver Surfer and others. In other games, Brian has voiced B.J. Blazkowicz in the Wolfenstein series and Varric from the Dragon Age series.

Fred Tatasciore as Hulk

Fred Tatasciore’s roar has been Hulk’s signature since The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction. Even though he’s been hulking out since 2005, he has only voiced Bruce Banner two times: Lego Marvel Super Heroes and Marvel Battle Lines. Fred has also provided his voice for other Marvel characters such as Crossbones, The Thing, and Beast.

He is one of the most prolific cast members, having over a thousand credits as an actor on IMDB. Some highlights include Soldier 76 from Overwatch, Megatron and Ratchet from Transformers, and Bane from the Batman games.

Joe Zieja as Bruce Banner

Joe Zieja voices Bruce Banner for the first time in Marvel Rivals. If you know what you’re doing you won’t hear him as much as the other guy, but if you do you’ll remember his voice as Claude from Fire Emblem Three Houses. Joe has provided the English dub for many Japanese games, like Kenji Tomochika from Persona 3 Reload and Wriothesley from Genshin Impact.

Travis Willingham as Thor and Doctor Doom

Travis Willingham has brought Thor’s thunderous voice to life 25 times since he voiced him on a pinball game. He also plays Grog Strongjaw, another lovable brute in Critical Role and its adaptation The Legend of Vox Machina. Some of his other recognizable roles include Knuckles from the Sonic franchise, Superman, Roy Mustang from Fullmetal Alchemist, and Ace from One Piece.

Sally Amaki as Peni Parker

Sally Amaki works double to provide Peni Parker’s English and Japanese voiceovers. A rising star in English dubs in anime, you’ve heard her in shows like Tomochan Is a Girl! as Carol Olston and Eliza in Bocchi the Rock!

While it’s her first time voicing Peni Parker, she’s had previous practice as an upbeat Japanese girl in a hero shooter with Kiriko in Overwatch. She’s also Sakura Fujima in the JPop idol group 22/7.

Adam Harrington as Groot

Adam Harrington is back as Groot, bringing his charm to the tree guardian to Marvel Rivals—a role he’s nailed in Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 and Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series. But that’s not all! He’s also the gruff and gritty Bigby Wolf (and the Woodsman) in The Wolf Among Us, proving he can flip between hero and antihero like a pro. And if you’ve ever played League of Legends, you’ve definitely heard him as Karthus, Kassadin, Mordekaiser, Shaco, and Ryze

Steve Blum as Venom and Wolverine

Steve Blum’s gravelly tones give Venom and Wolverine that edge fit for their characters. He has voiced Venom a few times throughout his career, but it’s nothing compared to the other 33 times he has voiced Wolverine.

As a prolific voice actor, you’ve heard him as Spike Spiegel in Cowboy Bebop, Vilgax from the Ben 10 series, and Starscream from the Transformers series. Steve Blum is one of Marvel’s favorite voice actors, as he has voiced many Marvel characters like Taskmaster, Gambit, and Green Goblin. Expect to see him return for another character anytime soon!

Duelists

Yuri Lowenthal as Spider-Man

Yuri Lowenthal has been Spider-Man ever since he got the role in a Marvel pinball game back in 2008. This is his 12th time reprising his role as Peter Parker, recently coming from Insomniac’s take on the web-slinger. With more than 800 credits as an actor, Yuri has definitely voiced a character you’ve seen before. He’s Ben Tennyson in Ben 10, Sasuke Uchiha in Naruto, Marth in Fire Emblem, and Yosuke in Persona 4 to name a few.

Bill Millsap as The Punisher

Bill Millsap as Frank Castle brings the anti-hero to life, impressive for his first time voicing the character. He’s voiced Anre from the Granblue video game series, Monkey King in Dota 2, and Lance in Pokemon Masters. Bill has also provided additional voices in popular games like The Callisto Protocol and God of War 2018.

Erik Braa as Moon Knight

Erik Braa takes Moon Knight into a more brooding and intimidating direction, perfect for his commanding voice. He also performs as as Papa Swimmer in Sand Land, Jax, Vel’Koz, Draven in League of Legends, and Garr in Eiyuden Chronicles: Hundred Heroes. Anytime there’s a gentle giant on screen, check if Erik Braa is behind the mic.

Abby Trott as Magik

The way Abby Trott yells Magik’s ultimate voice line gets the adrenaline pumping and strikes fear into the enemy team. Behold her other work—she’s Nezuko in Demon Slayer, Annette in Fire Emblem, and April O’Neil in both Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl games and Kart Racers 3. Recently, she’s been celebrated for her role as Momo Ayase in Dandadan.

Stephen Fu as Iron Fist

Stephen Fu voices Lin Lie, the former Sword Master who became the new Iron Fist after Danny Rand. He’s Doma in Demon Slayer, Wise in Zenless Zone Zero, and Shun Akiyama in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth. Stephen Fu has over 250 credits as an actor and appeared in many anime series and English dubs for shows like Squid Game.

Alpha Takahashi as Psylocke

Alpha Takahashi gives it her all every time she dashes into the backline to yell Psylocke’s ultimate. Even though she has fewer acting credits compared to the other cast, she’s already voiced some heavy hitters. She’s Warframe’s new community crush Aoi, Hanako Arasaka from Cyberpunk 2077, and Ayumi Komiko in Starfield.

Ian James Corlett as Mister Fantastic

Ian James Corlett voices the lovable nerd Reed Richards. He’s Goku in Dragon Ball Z’s early dubs, Cheetor in Transformers, and Igor in the Super Monsters series. Ian’s performance as Mister Fantastic resembles Hugh Test in Johnny Test, another goofball.

Milana Vayntrub as Squirrel Girl

Milana Vayntrub has voiced the energetic Squirrel Girl multiple times. She’s voiced her in Squirrel Girl: The Unbeatable Radio Show, Marvel Rising: Initiation and Secret Warriors. Technically, she’s also the only cast member in Marvel Rivals to play themselves in live-action, as Milana portrayed Squirrel Girl in the canceled New Warriors show. She has also provided voices for Robot Chicken and Lúnda in God of War Ragnarok.

Laura Bailey as Black Widow

Laura Bailey has been the voice of Black Widow since Marvel Super Hero Squad Online in 2011. She has also voiced Mary Jane in Insomniac’s Spider-Man Games, Abby in The Last of Us Part II, and Kait Diaz in Gears 5.

As another industry icon, Laura has voiced her share of prominent characters like Maka Albarn in Soul Eater, Rise in Persona, Wonder Woman, Trunks in Dragonball, and World of Warcraft’s Jaina Proudmoore, holding the role since 2004. Catch Laura on the hit show Critical Role where she has played as Vex’ahlia and Imogen Temult.

Andrew Kishino as Hawkeye

Andrew Kishino nails the jolly yet highly competent Hawkeye, making it hard to believe it's his first time voicing the character. He has previously worked with Marvel, voicing Falcon and Ghost Rider for Lego Marvel Super Heroes. Additionally, he’s Saw Gerrera in Star Wars: The Clone Wars and The Bad Batch, Donnie in the Saints Row series, and Ishi Sato in Bulletstorm.

Nika Futterman as Hela

Nika Futterman reprises her role as Hela for the third time, following Ultimate Alliance 3 and The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. As BTVA’s 2015 Voice Actress of the Year, she’s been nominated for performances such as Asajj Ventress in Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Luna in Loud House. She’s also Sticks in the Sonic franchise and hangs out with Mickey Mouse as Cuckoo Loca.

James Mathis III as Black Panther

James Mathis III has voiced the regal T’Challa since The Avenger’s: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, making his 17th appearance as Black Panther in Marvel Rivals. James has lent his voice to other Marvel characters like Luke Cage, Ronan the Accuser, War Machine, and Heimdall. He’s also Biscuit Oliver in the Baki TV series.

Josh Keaton as Iron Man

Josh Keaton stays consistently arrogant with Tony Stark and we all love that for him. Following Marvel’s Midnight Suns and Iron Man VR, it’s his third time voicing Iron Man for Marvel Rivals. He’s also voiced other Marvel characters like Ant-Man, Green Goblin, and Human Torch. Furthermore, Josh has voiced Ocelot in the Metal Gear series, Peter Parker in the Spectacular Spider-Man TV series, Shiro in Voltron, and King Anduin Wrynn in World of Warcraft.

Mara Junot as Storm

Mara Junot’s Storm controls the weather as Storm in Marvel Rivals, a character she’s voiced in the past in Midnight Suns and Ultimate Alliance 3. Mara’s commanding voice is perfect for leader roles—she’s been the voice of Alleria Windrunner since World of Warcraft’s launch in 2004 and Ikora Rey in Destiny 2. She’s Sindel in Mortal Kombat, Evelynn in League of Legends, and Shoola in Arcane.

Daniel Marin as Namor

Daniel Marin plays Namor in Marvel Rivals perfectly as a character you just love to hate. He’s also Gus in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III. Daniel’s voice acting is a rare treat, since he’s more recognizable as a magician and photographer. Aside from short films and guest spots, he has appeared as Officer Tillman in General Hospital and Detective Duke LeCross in Vice Force Action Squad.

Eliah Mountjoy as Winter Soldier

Eliah Mountjoy plays Bucky Barnes in Marvel Rivals for the first time, but we hope he lands the role again (again, and again). He’s Ghislain in Unicorn Overlord, Ed DeLuca in Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster, and Kurt Hansen in Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty.

Scott Porter as Star-Lord

Scott Porter takes new heights to voice Star-Lord in Marvel Rivals. He’s voiced the leader of the Guardians in the Telltale Series, Future Revolution, and Ultimate Alliance 3. But he has voiced other prominent Marvel characters as well, like Cyclops, Ben Reilly (Scarlet Spider), Winter Soldier, and Harry Osborn.

Scott has also been racking up goodwill on the other side of the street by voicing Flash, Aquaman, and Damian Wayne (Robin). He also gave a stellar performance in God of War Ragnarok as Heimdall, one the best boss fights in the series.

Kate Higgins as Scarlet Witch

Kate Higgins plays Scarlet Witch in Marvel Rivals, a role she’s familiar as she reprises her role of Wanda from Wolverine and the X-Men and Ultimate Alliance 3. She has over 400 acting credits over her long career which includes roles like Sakura from Naruto, C.C. from Code Geass, and Purah from The Legend of Zelda. Kate has taken over the role of Lady since Devil May Cry 4 and steals the show as Pauline in the Super Mario games.

Strategists

Troy Baker as Loki

Troy Baker brings mischief to life as Loki. Like Yuri with Spider-Man and Travis with Thor, Troy slammed it as Loki’s voice in the 2008 pinball game and he’s reprising his role 12 times. He’s one of the gaming industry’s favorite leading men, and he has an impressive catalog of characters to show for it.

He’s Joel in The Last of Us, Booker DeWitt in BioShock Infinite, and Kanji from Persona 4. Let’s not stop there and keep it going—Indiana Jones, Joker, Pagan Min, Bruce Wayne, and so much more. Troy deserves all the rewards and recognition he gets for his performances.

Suzie Yeung as Invisible Woman

Suzie Yeung brings Invisible Woman to life. The voice of Sue Storm is a rising star in the industry, but she’s already had her share of great roles—Yuffie in Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Fuuka in Persona 3 Reload, and Makima’s English dub in Chainsaw Man.

Nolan North as Rocket Raccoon

Nolan North is another prolific voice actor in the Marvel Rivals cast and he gave another excellent performance as Rocket Raccoon. This is his sixth time voicing Rocket, where you would’ve heard him cursing it out with the guardians in the Telltale game. Nolan is no stranger to voicing a variety of characters, some of his characters include Deadpool, Superman, Ghost in Destiny, Desmond Miles in Assassin’s Creed, and Nathan Drake from the Uncharted series and even made a brief cameo in the movie.

Colleen O’Shaughnessey as Mantis

Colleen O’Shaughnessey’s Mantis is equal parts quirky and empathetic. You might know her as Tails in Sonic the Hedgehog (a role she’s held since 2014), Ino Yamanaka in Naruto, or Jazz Fenton in Danny Phantom. She’s a mainstay in Digimon, voicing Sora Takenouchi since 1999, as well as other roles in the series.

Judy Alice Lee as Luna Snow

Judy Alice Lee is as multitalented as Luna Snow herself. She’s Melinoë in Hades II, Yun Jin in Genshin Impact, and Neyrelle in Diablo IV. She’s also a sound engineer and has worked in audio post-production for games like Crash Bandicoot, Grounded, and Valorant.

Xanthe Huynh as Dagger

Xanthe Huynh’s Dagger has an uplifting voice that shines like a beacon of light. She’s Haru Okumura in Persona 5, Marianne in Fire Emblem, Ui Hirasawa in KOn! Xanthe has worked on many English dubs to round them out with additional voices like on Squid Game, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, and the animated adaptation of I Want to Eat Your Pancreas.

Hakeem Ysaguirre as Cloak

Hakeem Ysaguirre’s voice credits are as mysterious as Cloak. Including his performance as Cloak, he has appeared four times as a voice actor—twice as the Race Organizer in Grand Theft Auto V and Online, and as the Narrator for Grubhub’s: Delivery Dance commercial (you know the one). Aside from voice acting, Hakeem is a recording artist and songwriter who performs under the name Kameechi.

Jon Bailey as Jeff the Land Shark

Someone has to voice all the sounds Jeff the Land Shark makes and Jon Bailey is glad to supply every joyful grunt and gurgle for Marvel Rivals. Jon has faithfully entertained us as the Narrator in Honest Trailers for hundreds of episodes. You’ve also heard him in other famous YouTube series like How It Should Have Ended. He has also voiced multiple characters in Transformers like Optimus Prime, Soundwave, and Megatron.

She’s Yuumi in League of Legends, Morgana in Persona 5, Sothis in Fire Emblem, and Elphelt Valentine in Guilty Gear. Cassandra has voiced hundreds of characters in anime, including Taiga from Toradora, Sue in Doraemon. You can also catch her in multiple roles for the Yakuza/Like A Dragon video game series.
