Top 5 Most Expensive Cases in CSGO

Top 5 Most Expensive Cases in CSGO

Are you a big gambler? Take a look at these 5 expensive cases!

Counter Strike: Global Offensive is an amazing game full of many awesome features. One of the most famous features are the game's cases. There are countless videos of youtubers unboxing crazy looking and expensive skins and knives. Cases are relatively cheap, with many of them being under a dollar. You also have to buy a $2.50 key to unlock them, so you usually end up paying three or four dollars to unbox one. Cases are known to be risky, because the odds in general are not on your side. Some cases however take "high risk high reward" to a new level. Here are the top five most expensive cases in CSGO.

5. CS:GO Weapon Case 2

Case Price: $2.87

Most expensive drop - ST FN SGG08 "Blood in the Water": $215

Cheapest drop - BS Scar 20 "Crimson Web": $0.85

One of the few cases to feature a black container, the CS:GO Weapon Case 2 is not one you see opened very often. Its best skin, the SSG08 "Blood in the Water," is a classic which many players enjoy or have heard of. Its stattrak factory new price may be less than many of the other options on this list, but the case is only $2.87, which is a significant drop in price compared to the others. Its price to top earnings ratio does beat out a few of the other cases. But its other skins are lacking in overall value due to its low price, with the next best pink skin (second rarest type of skin) being only $40 at best.

4. Operation Hydra Case

Case Price: $6.80

Most expensive drop - ST FN AWP "Oni Taiji": $338

Cheapest drop - BS TEC-9 "Cut Out": $0.55

The Operation Hydra Case has had quite an interesting lifespan since its debut from the actual Operation Hydra event in mid-2017. The case didn't even start out this high, the early price was around $4.50, and it was worth less than a dollar throughout the event. Once the operation ended, the demand for it grew; and with the case not dropping anymore, the value kept going up. The best drop in this case is worth over 100 dollars more compared to CS:GO Weapon Case 2, which is not bad at all. The one problem is the cheapest drop is only a measly 55 cents, which is pretty much nothing. The skins in this case might be very nice, but keep in mind the prices of the cheaper skins when you open this case.

3. eSports 2013 Case

Case Price: $18

Most expensive drop - ST FN AWP "BOOM": $316

Cheapest drop - MW MAG-7 "Memento": $1.06

The first case in the eSports series, the eSports 2013 Case takes a whole new approach when it comes to design. Instead of a typical yellow container, this series of cases has a futuristic briefcase look with each one having a different color. Another interesting fact is the most expensive skin here is actually cheaper than the best drop in the Hydra case, even though the eSports case costs almost three times more. The case's cheapest skin might be more than the Hydra case, but only by double, which is still not great. Many skins in this case are orange or black themed due to the color of the case, which is a pretty cool theme. I don't really like the skins or the case to value ratio, but if your favorite color is orange and don't mind taking a bigger risk, then feel free to try this case.

2. CS:GO Weapon Case

Case Price: $23

Most expensive drop - ST FN AWP "Lightning Strike": $410

Cheapest drop - FT MP7 "Skulls": $4

The CS:GO Weapon Case was the first ever case in the game, dropping with the "Arms Deal" update back in April of 2013. The case features nine gun skins made by Valve and 65 classic knife skins known by everyone. This case is much more generous with its cheap skins than the previous eSports 2013 case. The worst you can get is the FT MP7 "Skulls," which is 4 times greater in value than the MAG-7 “Memento.” Buying the case itself is hard to get into though, with one case being $23, which is a lot more than your average cost of around $3. Getting an AWP "Lightning Strike" that is worth over $400 might seem great, but if you are super lucky, you can get an AK47 "Case Hardened" covered in a blue pattern called a "Blue Gem." The odds of getting this several thousand dollar skin are insanely low, even getting a knife has much better odds.

1. Operation Bravo Case

Case Price: $26

Most expensive drop - ST FN AK47 "Fire Serphant ": $2,500

Cheapest drop - BS G3SG1 "Demeter": $1.73

The most expensive case goes to the Operation Bravo case, at a whopping 26 dollars. This case has huge potential, with a chance of getting a stattrak factory new AK47 Fire Serpent worth over $2,500. Even a battle-scarred Fire Serpent is still worth $250 which is a lot for a battle-scarred skin. One of the case’s downsides though is if you get a cheap skin, it really hurts your balance since you paid so much. This is the biggest "high risk high reward" case, so for people who are big gamblers or are feeling lucky, the Operation Bravo case is your best option.

Make Smart Choices

After gazing at all these cases, you can see that they are not cheap. Buying only four Operation Bravo Cases and their keys will put you over 100 dollars spent. The thrill of opening cases may seem like a lot of fun, but make sure you have your money well managed. Everyone wants to think they are going to win the biggest prize, but the odds can be very low, so keep that in mind. It's good to spread out your time with cosmetics in video games, buy them in moderation. Of course, we want everything in a game because it looks so cool, but first you have to make sure everything is under control, then you can have some fun. Good luck.
