Job Description

Dignitas is launching an esports and gaming initiative focused on championing opportunities for women gamers. The website and social channels will provide women gamers with educational, social and competitive resources to become tomorrow’s gaming influencers. This position will serve as the lead producer for the initiative, creating and distributing relevant content for social media platforms and the website.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and create a 12-month editorial calendar, including social media and website content around events, trending topics, interactive features
• Commission, create and post original / curated written content, photos and videos on social media, community and website channels
• Quality control for all editorial and publishing, copy editing, post quality, comment moderation, overall look and feel of site and social channels
• Oversee a user database and create marketing campaigns to strategically engage a logged-in user base (email, events, giveaways, promotions)
• Participate in and actively contribute to weekly team meetings bringing new ideas for high quality content, revenue and site traffic
• Identify and manage a team of freelance writers to contribute content to the website and media channels

Skills

• Strong editorial and writing skills
• Working knowledge of digital technology, website publishing platforms, third-party content applications
• In-depth knowledge of esports and gaming, preferably of women in esports/gaming
• High energy, team player, positive attitude

Requirements

• 3-5 years of website production experience
• 1-2 years of esports/gaming experience
• Must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays

Travel Requirements

Minimal travel required (<5% time). Trips may require air travel and/or overnight stay for one or more nights.

Physical Demands

This position requires the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.

Work Environment

This position generally requires that work be performed from the Dignitas Headquarters in Playa Vista, CA, but attendance at events taking place in the arena or offsite, including on weekends and/or holidays, may be required.
