Rocket League is lucky to have an active community when it comes to modding. Quality of life features, bizarre sound effects, and crazy abilities like being able to turn your car invisible. These are a mix of essential and fun features you wouldn't be able to get otherwise in the vanilla version of Rocket League.
This list dives into Rocket League’s modding scene. Below you'll find nine of the best mods every player needs to try out. But first, before you can even begin your Rocket League modding journey, make sure to install Bakkesmod to access the mods.
Bakkesmod is an official third-party mod tool allowed by Psyonix, the developers of Rocket League. Bakkesmod is super easy to use, and since it's an official tool, you won't get banned by using it. Once you've gone ahead and installed Bakkesmod, here are nine must-have Rocket League mods you need to try out.

In one of the recent updates to Rocket League, a crossbar SFX was added. Now, whenever you whiff a shot, a “Ping” sound plays and shoves it in your face. But hearing that same sound hundreds of thousands of times will likely make some people's ears buzz.
When that happens, you can download the Alternative Crossbar Sounds mod and rejoice. This mod changes the “Ping” SFX with a playlist of random meme sound effects like “Bruh”, “Boink”, the Minecraft hurt sound, and the “Falling pipe” sound effect.
You can also add a custom playlist of meme sounds. So, whether it's the infamous Brianrot "Faaahhh" meme you want to hear in your matches or the chaotic “6-7”, any wild sound can be played in Rocket League using the Alternative Crossbar Sounds mod.
As great as Rocket League is, it does lack a few basic features. Twitch support for one isn't that ideal. It's a given that some players will want to stream their games onto Twitch, and accessing the Twitch Chat will be on their to-do lists.
Luckily, there's a mod for this: the Twitch Chat Quick Chat. What this mod does is that it displays all incoming Twitch chat messages in your in-game chatbox. Other players won't be able to see these messages, so you can easily keep streaming while keeping in touch with your community.

As the name implies, the Invisible Mod turns all cars on the field invisible. There's no practical advantage to doing this in Rocket League. That said, booting up the game, hopping into a private match with your friends, and turning this mod on guarantees you're in for hours of laughs and giggles.
And the best part is, the Invisible mod is just the tip of what the Rocket League modding community has to offer.
RankViewer brings another quality of life addition to Rocket League. It's a mod that lets you view the MMR (Matchmaking Rating) you need for the division above and below your current rank.
Now, each time you conclude a match, you'll see a little slider at one side of the screen showing your progress. That means you'll no longer have to sit and wonder when you will get to the next rank. As for how RankViewer works, it pulls data from Rocket Tracker and gives you estimates about your MMR. Because of that, there's room for error in what it shows you. That said, the RankViewer is right more often than it is wrong.
The Speedflip Trainer mod is another perfect tool for those wanting to improve their Rocket League flicks. This mod tells you everything about your practice run: the angle you flipped at, the timing of your shot, and how fast you canceled your flip.
What's even better is that the Speedflip Trainer records your attempts. It lets you evaluate them in depth, share them online amongst the community, or upload them as part of your highlight reels.

It would've been nice if the Free Play mode in Rocket League showed you your stats. Those are crucial when you're practicing dribbling or flicks and want to evaluate yourself. That is, judge where you are good at and where you are lacking.
While Rocket League doesn't natively have such a feature, there is a mod called Free Play Stats that does exactly that. This Rocket League mod lets you track several things: Ball-in-air %, Car-in-air %, Boosting %, Touches/min, and a lot more. It's simply a must-have Rocket League mod every pro needs for Free Play.
With Rocket League having such a massive player base, it's a given you'll encounter more than a few foreigners in your online lifetime. They'll speak languages you might not understand. And for a game like Rocket League, where communication is key to making big plays, you need to understand your teammates.
That's where the Translate mod comes in for the save. This mod uses Google Translate at the back end, and automatically converts all foreign languages it detects into your native language. So whether you speak English or Spanish, and another player speaks Russian, this mod will translate everything in the chat box for you into your chosen language.
AirDribble Indicator Ring adds a visual ring indicator below the ball. This indicator helps you realize the best height for the ball and provides you with extra information on how to better your flip resets and air dribbles.
There's also a feature included that tells you exactly where you made contact with the ball, and another that changes color depending on how close you are to the ideal ball position. All in all, the AirDribble Indicator Ring is one of the best Rocket League mods to practice with.

Hands down, the best quality-of-life mod for Rocket League is the Workshop Map Loader & Downloader. This map is a godsend if you regularly play Rocket League through the Epic Games launcher and often try out new Workshop maps.
The mod brings up a custom interface in the game. Using it, you can add workshop maps from a select folder on your PC, search for and download maps directly from within the game, or enter a URL to download the associated map. This mod is invaluable since the Epic Games Launcher doesn't officially support workshop maps like Steam does. So, if you love checking out what's new in the workshop community, the Workshop Map Loader & Downloader is your best friend.
Rocket League has one of the wittiest player communities. Any features you find missing in the vanilla version of the game, you can add to it via mods created by players like yourself. So, from tools that change SFX to those that view MMR, Rocket League’s modding scene has everything you could need to make your experience better.
