All Fortnite Boss NPCs and Where to Find Them

Defeating Boss NPCs is really important if you want to get your hands on the new Mythics and Medallions. But, who are these boss NPCs and where do they reside?

Every Fortnite Season has lore behind it, and there are a set of “heroes” and “villains”. These characters are usually skins from the current Battle Pass. Epic Games does a phenomenal job integrating these characters into the game. Some characters become boss NPCs, usually housed in a POI, and drop mythic weapons upon defeat.

For instance, the current Marvel Season (Chapter 5 Season 4) features three boss NPCs, Doombot, Emma Frost, and Mysterio. These boss NPCs change every season according to the lore and theme of said season. In this article, we will go over all the Boss NPCs of Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4, where to find them, and what loot they drop. While doing so, we will also explain other minor NPCs that can also help you win games.

All Boss NPCs

The Boss NPCs usually revolve around the theme of the season. For instance, Chapter 5 Season 2, was themed around the Greek Mythology featuring villains like Zeus and Hades. Their medallion were called Aspect of Gods and the Mythic Weapons were related to their powers

Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 is a Marvel x Fortnite Collaboration, and this isn’t the first one. While we have had many Marvel characters as skins in Fortnite, there have only been two Marvel Seasons including this one. The entire storyline revolves around Doctor Doom taking control of the Island and establishing a Monarch, with the ultimate goal of harnessing the power hidden inside the Island. Doctor Doom has taken the help from allies including Emma Frost, and Mysterio, which are two of the three Boss NPCs this season. In his place, Doctor Doom has left Doombot to watch over the Island while he plans his next moves.

Doombot

In the Marvel comics, Doombots are robot versions of Doctor Doom created by himself. They are exact physical and mental replicas of Doctor Von Doom, designed to be used when Doctor Doom isn’t there. In Fortnite, the Doombot is placed by Doctor Doom to watch over the Island in his place, maintaining the monarchy.

Doombot controls the Island from Castle Doom, which is a new POI in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4. The Doom Castle is one of if not the largest POI in Fortnite, filled to the brim with chests, loot crates, ammo boxes, and more. You can challenge Doombot at Castle Doom and upon defeat he drops the Siphon Medallion, Doctor Doom’s Arcane Gauntlets, and Mythic Monarch Pistol, all solid drops that can be useful throughout the game.

The way to get Mythic Weapons and Medallions usually remain the same throughout the Chapter.

Mysterio

Known as the Master of Illusions, Mysterio’s power revolves around confusing his enemies by conjuring illusions. His character is the same in Fortnite Chapter 5. Mysterio resides in Doomstadt, the Latvian village of the origin of Doctor Doom. Doomstadt is one of the new POIs in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4, and it’s a replica of the village from the comics with a little Fortnite spin. Much like most Boss NPC POIs, Doomstadt is also filled with loot and usually contested by other players.

You can defeat Mysterio at Doomstadt to get your hands on the Stealth Medallion, and the Mythic Sovereign Shotgun.

Emma Frost

Emma Frost is a strong character from the X-Men franchise, often referred to as the White Queen of the Hellfire Club. She has the power to transform her entire body into a near-unbreakable diamond which makes her a formidable foe for the X-Men. While her history with the X-Men is filled with clashes and sometimes alliances, her role in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 is much simpler.

Emma Frost is the warden of The Raft, a prison made by Doctor Doom to house some of the most dangerous beings from across the Multiverse. The entire prison is guarded by Emma Frost and if you manage to defeat her, she drops the Reveal Medallion and the Mythic Burst Rifle.

Minor NPCs

Apart from the Boss NPCs that drop Mythics and Medallions, there are also other NPCs that populate the Island. You can buy different weapons and utilities from these NPCs for gold. Having the knowledge of what these NPCs are and what they sell can help you strategize your rotations in Fortnite. With that covered, here is the list of all non-Boss NPCs and what you can buy from them.

Some of these NPCs are also called Specialists. These are NPCs that can be hired to help you during the game. There are three types of Specialists in Fortnite, these are,

  • Scout: Equipped with long-range weapons such as Snipers. They mark unopened chests and ping nearby enemies. Artemis is a Scout Specialist
  • Supply: Help provide building materials and ammunition when needed. Centurion is a supply Specialist.
  • Heavy: Bombards the enemy with explosive weapons. Ruckus is a Heavy Specialist.

With that covered, here is the location of all the Minor NPCs in Fortnite.

Conclusion

NPCs are important in every game there is, and Fortnite is no exception. They not only keep the island populated and lively but can provide you with supplies and weapons when needed. Not to mention, the Boss NPCs that drop almost overpowered weapons and medallions when you defeat them. Knowing of the NPCs in Fortnite is crucial if you want to win more games, especially for players just starting out in Fortnite. This article goes over every NPC there is in the game at the moment.
