Best Clutches In CS History
Nothing gets a CS fan excited more than a clean clutch, and here are some of the best clutches we have seen in CS.

Counter-Strike has always been a game of highlight moments, and there are some insane clutches that you’ve probably missed. It's when the hopes have fallen, comms are quiet, the team gets steamrolled, and just one player is left to do the impossible. That’s where legends are born, and careers are made.
From eco-round vs full buy clutches to Major-deciding pistol rounds, clutches are the reason fans still rewatch old gameplay clips and debate on the best round ever years later. From Friberg’s game-sense brilliance to the underdog spirit that defines the org, this list is all about the impact, top-stage pressure, and rounds that shaped history.
Here are some of the best clutches that made CS live everlong in our memories.
Nobody but ZywOo can explain that adrenaline pump when he clutched a 1v5 in a grand finals. Not a single flinch, ice-cold timing on his peeks, and landing flicks like it’s all scripted. This wasn’t luck; it was a masterclass in game-sense. He proved his mastery further by acing and clutching again a few rounds later.
It’s proof that one player and one round can flip the whole momentum and ultimately bag the round, that too against a team like NaVi with s1mple at his peak. Incredible performance, to say the least, going down as one of the best in CS history.
This insane clutch has it all: the crowd, the hype, the casting, and the performance. Straight up goosebumps for lucky fans sitting there at LAN. Na’Vi had beaten VP in a group stage map on train comfortably, but when Snax hit this clip, it seemed like magic, like they were just gonna win the whole final, stomping the newly created superteam.
Almost a decade later, some fans still call it the most iconic clutch. That underdog energy, turning a likely loss into Virtus.Pro glory on a premier LAN stage. As a viewer, it was one of the moments you had to be there to watch. Still, rewatching it reignites the feeling of witnessing history for the first time.
During his debut with Dignitas, the legendary rifler MagiskB0Y reminded fans of his top-tier roots with an insane 1v4 clutch on Mirage against Team AGG during the Star Series Season 2. Despite being a new recruit, he showed excellent game sense, and it was his quick thinking that turned a near-lost round into a win for Dignitas. This moment lives on as one of the best Dignitas moments from the CS:GO era.
It reminded everyone that even though the CS scene evolves fast, veteran instincts never truly die out.
Astralivs vs NRG, dev1ce creates history with a clutch that was way too clean: USP only, 3hp, 3 shots, 3 kills. Talk perfection? This clutch turned into a Major highlight, and anyone who watched that Berlin Major can understand how good dev1ce really was.
Diehard fans argue that this performance deserved a graffiti honor, but nonetheless, it will go down as one of the best clutches in CS history. Such a clean clutch is hard to replicate even for global pros when they’ve got to land 3 kills with 3 bullets. Dev1ce’s performance deserves a well-earned spot in this list.
2. NiKo 1v5 Deagle vs Titan — ESL ESEA Pro League S2 (Cache)
NiKo on an eco buy, with a deagle up against Titan’s full buy on Cache. He wide-peeks mid, and the title of Deagle king gets stamped to his name in 2015. Clinical performance in a 1v5, proving that eco rounds reward fearless play more than hiding and counting eco down to the last dollar.
This was an iconic clutch, better than Happy’s ace, some would say, which instead got most of the hype at that time. Nevertheless, this clutch made its way into CS history way before, and nothing’s changing that.
Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov gave us one of the best clutch moments during the Blast Premier World Final 2023 quarterfinal against NAVI. Down 0-5, G2 looked hopeless, getting steamrolled in early rounds, but m0NESY flipped the script. Left alone in a 1v5, he quickly landed two kills, then pushed up and got another. Rolling in a 2v1, he isolated them with a smoke, then did the unpredictable: jumping through his own smoke and landing in the face of Aleksib.
The hope was there for G2 fans, and m0NESY delivered. Carefully positioning himself, he took the round to post-plant and finished off with a clean ace. The shocking “WHAT” moment made fans go crazy when he jumped into the smoke. It was a clutch that fueled the comeback map win for G2, proving once again that one round can turn the whole tide.
