Top 5 CS:GO Talents That You’ve Most Likely Not Heard About

Here are the top 5 CS:GO talents that you’ve probably not heard about.

Counter-Strike is a game present in many countries and continents. Good players are the ones blessed with either crazy, precise aim or amazing gamesense. Sometimes both. And the current scene is loaded with players that possess insane combinations of skills, even at a very young age. You have probably heard of players like frozen or ZywOo, players that are expected to be world-beaters in the future. But today we are not here to talk about those that everyone knows about. Here are the top 5 CS:GO talents that you’ve probably not heard about.

1. Yuri ‘yuurih’ Santos

With over 120 maps under his HLTV belt, the 18 year-old Brazilian has averaged a jaw-dropping 1.41 rating during the past three months (the highest in all of HLTV) while playing almost exclusively the top South American teams. yuurih has been coveted by many teams in the region before signing for regional top team FURIA led by experienced player spacca. The AWPer’s leadership will most likely help yuurih achieve stardom in CS as he evolves and becomes a reference not only for his team, but for the entirety of the SA scene.

2. Mareks 'YEKINDAR' Gaļinskis

Gaļinskis hails from Latvia, the only country within the Baltic region that does not possess a player who has previously attended a major. YEKINDAR is determined to be the first. The 18 year-old sports an heroic 1.36 LAN rating, proving he thrives under pressure, a characteristic seen in top players in all sports. Playing for Russian team Elements Pro Gaming (EPG), Gaļinskis is led by ex-Gambit player hooch, an icon within the CIS scene. Much like the previous player on this list, YEKINDAR is an extremely versatile player, able to crack open bombsites on his own and provide the edge for his team.

3. Valentin ‘poizon’ Vasilev

From Bulgaria, Vasilev hopes to follow the steps of countryman CeRq in playing at the international scene. The 19 year-old ranks 14th amongst all players in opening kill success x rating, higher than the likes of device, FalleN, and GuardiaN. The star of up-and-coming Bpro team, poizon is destined for the big stage, and while he hasn’t faced any consolidated top teams yet (he did post over 1.00 rating on the two maps that his team lost to Space Soldiers), more local LANs and eventually Vasilev will get his attempt at stardom.

4. Sean ‘Gratisfaction’ Kaiwai

Gratisfaction, at 22 years old, is one of the older players on this list. Doesn’t mean he is less of a wonderkid than any of them. With 88% of his maps being over 1.00 rated-ones, Kaiwai is the man of the hour of the OCE scene. From New Zealand, Gratisfaction feels at home in a very young Grayhound roster, that is shaking up local LANs since last year. Internationally, he participated in the Parallax mix that participated earlier this year at the WESG World finals where his team suffered heavy defeats, such as the 16-4 beating by Wololos or 16-5 by Team Belgium. But when given the chance to play with his regular teammates, he shone. A 2-1 win over TyLoo included a 1.56 rating in the first map, helping his team to achieve a 2nd place at the cs.summit Asia, even featuring in the event's Showmatch.

5. Benjamin ‘blameF’ Bremer

Playing for Great Danes, blameF still is a very unproven talent from Denmark. The 20 year-old, however, had his first International LAN in Copenhagen Games 2018, and didn’t waste the opportunity. At the B tournament, Bremer put up a 1.39 rating vs. Rogue, a Pro League Team, even though his team lost both maps, the first one being a harsh 16-2 defeat. Posting a +14 KD, the only positive one in his team for this matchup, and beating LDLC, another Pro League team, on LAN, 2-0 with a 1.74 rating, the young Danish player has an insane 1.41 rating in the last 3 months and is definitely one to watch for the future.

That’s it for today’s list. If you have any other players that we should keep on eye on, feel free to leave a comment. I hope you have enjoyed the TOP 5 and we all hope these players succeed for the benefit of the entire CS:GO scene. Good luck and have fun!
