Useful Nuke Smokes and Popflashes

With Nuke being put into the active duty pool recently, you're going to need some smokes and flashes.

Introduction

Nuke has recently been put back into the active pool by Valve, removing Inferno. Not many players know smokes or flashbangs unless they were trying out strategies. In this blog, however, I will be showing you 2 different smokes and popflashes that could help you win rounds. You can of course use these smokes how you will and implement them into different strategies that you want to try out. The two smokes are for 'Yard' and the two popflashes are for to help you take the 'A Site'. Let's get started with the two popflashes, as they're easier to learn.

A Hut Popflash

This popflash is the easiest grenade I have to show in this tutorial. The first thing you have to do is go into 'Lobby', and there should be some arrows pointing towards the 'Hut'. You want to walk up to the curved arrow that is closest to the 'Hut' entrance in 'Lobby'. Take your flash out, aim directly at the ground and place your crosshair in the bottom right corner of the arrow's body. Then move your crosshair toward a big hole in the wall toward the entrance, you can see it in the video below. Then just throw the flash. The flash should bounce off the wall, through the door and into the 'A Site'. This flash will blind anyone in 'Rafters' and on the site making it easy for you and your team to run in and take their heads off. The one small problem with this flash, however, is that a person from inside of 'Mini' can see you through the window. A counter to this though is to get one player to aim through that window and take him out before he takes you out. Find a video below with full visual help.

A Roof Popflash

Again this popflash is very easy to execute once you get the hang of it. This flash will completely blind enemies that are sitting in 'Rafters' on 'A Site'. You want to climb up onto 'T Roof' with your flashbang out in your hand and go towards where the ladder comes up to the roof. There's a railing on the roof there, jump up onto the far right corner of it and stare at the floor until you reach the very edge. Now stare towards where 'A Site' would be, then you should see a little pyramid sticking up on top of the roof. Aim at that pyramid and aim down a bit until you get your crosshair on the top of the roof. Throw the flashbang and them it will fly through one of the glass windows, don't worry because the glass doesn't stop the projectile. It will bounce off the top of the supports and pop while in mid-air leaving the enemies on 'A Site' blind. Below is a video tutorial on how this works.

Outside Rafters Smoke

This smoke is a little bit complicated, but is easy to master once you get used to it. Once you walk outside into 'Yard', you will see a fence that spans the outside of it. The fence has cement blocks to keep it in place and this is what we're going to use to do this smoke. Move to the second cement block, and aim at the bottom right corner of it as if you were coming from the CT-side of 'Yard'. Now turn around until you see 'Marshmallow'. On 'Marshmallow', there's a metal square, and this will be where you want to be on the same level as. Now move your crosshair to the left until you get close to the white pipe that's coming from the floor. The video below will demonstrate how far you want to be away from it. Now move your crosshair up high until you reach the first set of clouds, get your aim to the top of the clouds and release the smoke. The smoke will fly through the air until it reaches 'Mini Roof' and lands in the far corner, blocking off vision from a player sitting in 'Outer Rafters'. This will let you and your team cross semi-safely across to the red box. Watch the instructional video below.

Garage Smoke

This smoke will probably be the most helpful grenade that I've shown in this guide. It will completely block off vision from a player sitting inside of 'Garage' in 'Yard' meaning you can cross safely without him AWPing you. The smoke is also very simple and is very easy to get the hang of. You want to start off with going toward 'Yard' and you will see a small red box. There are some yellow markings on the floor and these markings will be the foundation of this flash. You want to move all the way to the corner of the yellow markings. Aiming directly at the floor, you will see a small yellow angle where Valve textured the markings incorrectly. Move your crosshair up until you reach the top of the red box. In the middle of the red box there are two metal plates. Aim in the middle of those. Then, move your crosshair up until you reach a bit of ventilation coming out of the 'Garage' roof. As you get to the same height as that bit of ventilation, release the smoke. The smoke will land directly in the middle of Garage leaving no room for gaps. This smoke perfectly covers off all of the 'Garage' entrance, making it easy for you to cross. If you combine this smoke with the 'Outside Rafters' smoke it will make the crossing to the red box a lot safer. Again, see the video below for how to do the smoke perfectly.

Conclusion

These smokes and popflashes should be very useful for the Terrorist side of Nuke, meaning that you have some successful rounds as you grind the harder side. As long as you practice the smokes and flashes, you should be able to learn them fairly fast. I hope this tutorial helped you out and thanks for reading.
