PBE has been updated and we have quite a lot to look at in this release, with 2 champions getting some work done. Gangplank is getting a full rework and Miss Fortune is getting an update on her in game model and particles. We also have 6 new Bilgewater themed skins coming out for Graves, Aatrox, Quinn, Twisted Fate, Miss Fortune and Garen.

All of these skins are awesome looking, I never usually like it when skins move too far away from the original subject. However for the Rogue Admiral Garen I have to let it slide. My personal favourite is Captain Miss Fortune, I think I have new candidate for favourite skin. I absolutely love the way this looks and the new back animation is really cool too. Being a fan of pirates since I was a kid I lost it a little with this release, and when I saw these skins I was so happy with them, they all look so good. Definitely worth the investment for all of these skins.

Gangplank Rework

Gangplank is looking even more ready to plunder some booty with his new look. This is a complete rework adding a new voice over, in game model, particles, and even his abilties are getting some love. The whole works. I haven't played much Gangplank before this but with the time I spent with him testing, he is incredibly fun and his new abilties are so satisfying, there really is nothing like Parley'ing 3 barrels to wipe out a whole minion wave. His passive also applies on towers, I don't know if this is as intended but currently he murders Towers pretty fast. He also has a whole new unique mechanic to him where he can upgrade his ult using "Silver Serpents" which are gained by last hitting with his Q (Parley) this makes farming with him super important as these upgrades seem to be incredibly useful and they are expensive (500 Silver Serpents per upgrade). Another thing to mention is that along with the Vanilla Gangplank, all of his skins are getting an update to bring them up to the newer look. This is amazing as with some other Champions, reworks have made their skins look completely outdated, I am really happy Riot is updating his skins too.

As I said before I have not played Gangplank a lot before this so I am going into this from a pretty fresh perspective. With that in mind though I have to say I am really liking the new look, I always found that Gangplank was never really intimidating. His now almost Black Beard-esque look makes him more menacing and I can get behind that. His new abilities make him super fun and satisfying to play his older abilities are also still really awesome and feel a lot better with the new particles. This rework is amazing, I have nothing bad to say about it, it keeps Gangplank the way he was but adds a fresh layer to him that might bring him back onto the Rift more often. Good job Riot!

Miss Fortune Update

Miss Fortune has also received some love from Riot with an in-game update. This is more or less just a face lift with an updated in-game model and all new ability FX. The abilities look a lot better now and there is also some visual feedback now with her Double Up failing with it just falling on the floor behind the target when there is nothing for it to bounce too. There have also been some slight kit tweaks as well. Also something to note is that along with Gangplank, all of her skins are being updated too, which is really awesome.

My knowledge of this Champion is very limited due to her lack of being played and playing her. She is very fun and satisfying to play, whether the changes are the cause of this I am unsure. The updates will hopefully see her getting played more. I am a massive fan of how Riot is also tweaking her current skins to look more up to date and I will definitely be playing her more with her new Captain Miss Fortune skin. It will be interesting to see how well this does when it goes live.

That is all the major updates in this release, I have nothing really bad to say about this update honestly, I love pretty much everything that is being brought to the table and I absolutely cannot wait to throw my wallet at Riot for those Bilgewater skins.
