Today we take a look at AFK Gaming's ADC player David "Allied" Hance once again after one of the biggest Lan events this year so far. AFK Gaming was 1st seed & were virtually unstoppable the entire summer split. However sadly being the fan favorite to win the entire lan, they were knocked out early by one of their biggest rivals Team Solo Mid. Entering the Summer Lan Finals, you were first seed with high hopes of winning the entire lan. What exactly prevented you guys from going as far as you could? Were the opponents stronger than you thought? Picks didn’t work out?

Allied: Being first seed isn't always as good as it seems. we didnt play a match until the 2nd day and we kind of went in cold vs our hardest matchup TSM. Also the event went on very late so my boys weren't as prepped / more tired than usual. I won't use that as an excuse though we just simply got adapted on and outplayed by TSM.

What changes do you feel as a team do you guys need to do to reclaim your dominance?

Allied: We just gotta work on being more comfortable on switching up strats as well as prioritizing different picks.

A ton of changes have happened to the adc role since our last interview, what exactly do you feel has changed about the adc role after all of the nerfs hunters & items have gotten?

Allied: I still enjoy ADC but it's not as overpowered as it was before. I feel like ADC is in a good spot right now in terms of balance.

We have seen some people mess around with fatalis on some hunters, do you still think this build is optimal?

Allied: In certain situations yeah. The mobility in team fights is pretty sweet.

Going into the Fall Split, who do you think is going to be one of your toughest matches to overcome?

Allied: TSM of course. they are always a pain. Cloud 9 might be a problem as well. hopefully we can overcome.

One of your old favorite “hunters” Freya has slowly creeped back into the meta, any reason why? Also do you think you’ll be returning to freya since you are known to play her frequently in tournaments in the past.

Allied: Freya is mostly back because of the way the meta is right now. It's very common to get to late game now and that is when freya thrives. There's not as much snowball so even if freya gets a little behind early. It isn't the end of the world.
