Understanding premade 5v5s to conquer the Rift with your friends.
With the introduction to Dynamic Queue, we are facing a lot of premade 5v5 ranked games. If you and your friends have decided to conquer the Summoner's Rift together this season, here are some basic tips on how to win a premade 5v5 ranked game.
Pre-game preparations
As always, the most important thing is communication, and that is what makes 5v5 premade games unique and brings more fun to it. In order to have the most efficient communication with your friends, you should be using some of the voice communication programs. That sort of communication brings you a huge advantage. Being able to share with your team what you plan to do so they can follow your plays, know when enemies' summoner spells or ultimate’s are down, and even share your knowledge of opponent's cooldowns if you wish to engage, is what brings advantage. Practicing your team communication every day will gain you a lot of advantage since you'll only get better at it.
Additional to communication, you have to get to know your teammates' weaknesses and strengths. Understanding each other's strengths and weaknesses will always allow you to make the right call. For example, if you have a feeling that one of your teammates has a tendency to get caught out a lot, or one of your teammates likes to engage when you can’t follow, with good communication, you can correct them before it's too late. Knowing your team's weaknesses is your best chance to win and will improve your premade ranked games as a whole. When we talk about strengths, team game is the best way to acknowledge and embrace them. If you know your teammate is a mechanical master on Riven, encourage him/her to play her in your games. Your team morale has to be high all of the time so your teammates wouldn't get annoyed about the unnecessary things. At the end of the day, premade games are made for us to have lots of fun.

One of the tips which can apply to both soloqueues and premade 5v5's is keeping your champion pool small. Your chance of climbing a ladder gets bigger if you stick to a few champions and master one lane. It's always best to pick champions you like and play good, while they fit the meta. Your team should have three to four champions per lane that they have proficiency in.
You have heard a lot about shotcalling on professional scene, but have no idea what it is exactly? Well, the point of shotcalling is to help all the players focus, so if you don't want your premade 5v5's to look like soloqueues you need to have it. Some teams have a single person doing it, other have all 5. It doesn't matter who you decide to be your shotcaller, but it is important to remember that the point of it is getting every player on the same page. Shotcallers have to call out when to fight, when to disengage, when to take an objective, etc.
In-game
When we talk about picks and bans always have in mind that not all of the champions synergize good with others. You have to understand what exactly you want to achieve. Is it a strong poke composition, a strong push composition or a full engage team? Talk about it with your teammates before joining the game so you'd know which composition will best suit you. Having in mind champion pools of your teammates will help you arrange a team composition which will suit your team the best. Deciding the composition right can maximize potential of the champions you picked.
Now that you've managed to get your perfect team composition, let's talk about what happens when you load into the game. Rather than just sit around, I'd always recommend going for the level one invade, especially if you have strong level 1 champions. Invading can completely screw up the enemy jungle + you gain knowledge on where the opponent jungler will be moving first.

If you are focused on winning, it means you must be focused on getting objectives. Objective-based teams will always gain more than the ones who are prioritizing kills. Prioritizing objectives and keeping your opponents away from them is your ticket to free win. However, there's no chance you'll be good at taking objectives if you're not playing the vision game correctly. If you plan to take a Dragon, ward the Dragon paths of your opponents. Always keep the vision around objectives alive so you would not lose it and to know when it's free to take. Also, don’t forget to buy pink wards and don't forget the advantage of the Farsight Alteration (blue trinket)! Keep in mind when is the best time to recall so your objectives would be timed well. Also, don’t forget to tell your teammates when you are planning to do it so they wouldn't fight for an objective without you.
You have to understand the power spikes of the champions your teammates are playing. Every champion has a point in their build where they become strong, and this is your call to make something happen. However, it is important to understand your enemies' power spikes too in order to avoid them as much as possible. In that case, keep the vision alive and avoid grouping up. Try to catch someone out of position before you go into the teamfight.
