TL;DR Champion Lores: For those who are too lazy to read them

If you want to know stories behind LoL champs but you're too lazy to read them, this is for you.

Dear Summoners, if you are too lazy to read all of the 129 champion lores, but you are still interested in them, I am presenting you all of the League of Legends champion lores in just a few sentences per champion, in alphabetical order.

Aatrox - the Darkin Blade

Starting with a war between Protectorate and Magelords, Aatrox changed a lot of wars with his presence through history, urging soldiers to fight and inspiring them.

Ahri - the Nine Tailed Fox

Ahri was a normal fox who always had a feeling she should be human, and so she became part human when she reached a dying man and took his life essence. Feeding on unsuspecting man, soon she came to know a human feeling of regret which she couldn't stand so she joined League of Legends to help her with it.

Akali - the Fist of Shadow

Akali began her martial art training with her mother as soon as she could make a fist, and when she enrolled to Kinkou (ancient order of Ionia Isles) she became the Fist of Shadow immediately. She is now enforcing balance of Valoran with Shen and Kennen.

Alistar - the Minotaur

Alistar was the mightiest warrior from the Minotaur tribes until he was brought to chains from Noxus. Noxus made him gladiator, but a young servant girl set him free. He then joined League of Legends to take final vengeance upon Noxus and find that servant girl.

Amumu - the Sad Mummy

Amumu wanders the world in uncontrollable sadness, trying to discover his true identity.

Anivia - the Cryophoenix

Anivia was a part of Freljord before mortals. However, last time she was reborn, darkness crept into the Freljord. She's now fighting for its peace with Ashe, at all costs.

Annie - the Dark Child

Annie is a child of leaders of evil, outcast Noxus society which pursued dark arcane knowledge. At the age of 2, she ensorcelled a shadow Bear - Tibbers.

Ashe - the Frost Archer

Ashe became a leader of a tribe at a young age, when her mother died. Her warriors questioned her fitness to rule and wanted to kill her. However, she ran away and found a powerful bow of the Freljord Queen on her way. Soon enough, tribe recognized her weapon as blessing and is now a largest tribe in Freljord, united in hope of them become a great nation, once again.

Azir - the Emperor of the Sands

Azir was once a mortal man who was blinded by his own hubris, and has been returned as an Ascended. He seeks to restore Shurima to its former glory but most dispute his right to rule them.

Bard - the Wandering Caretaker

Bard is a creature beyond human imagination and no one can fully understand the mysteries he embodies. He steers all existence away from utter annihilation when the unknowable structure of the universe is threatened.

Blitzcrank - the Great Steam Golem

Blitz was made from doctoral students from Zaun to assist their reclamation process. However, within a few weeks, he was declared a fully-independent entity and he left Zaun in hope to find a place where he might belong.

Brand - the Burning Vengeance

Last thing that Kegan (a pirate) remembers was approaching a dancing column of flame inside an ice cage, when his body was taken by Brand, a creature of olden times. Brand exists for no other reason than to lay waste the world of man and yordles. He was overcome by Demacian forces and is now fighting for the League.

Braum - the Heart of the Freljord

There are many tales about Braum and all of them say that he was the kindest man that has anyone ever met. He got his famous shield, a door, when he was saving a little boy stuck into the mountain cave behind that door. Braum broke through the mountain to save the boy and used the doors as a protection when the mountain started carving in, when he realised they were something special.

Caitlyn - the Sheriff of Piltover

Cait started fighting crime at the young age and it's said that a Piltover has an extraordinarily low crime rate since she became a Sheriff. She never backed down from a case, and is now traveling all across Valoran to catch a mysterious outlaw.

Cassiopeia - the Serpen's Embrace

Cassiopeia is the youngest daughter of the Noxus' most influential family. She is a terrifying creature, but was once a beautiful lady, transformed by the venom of an ancient Shuriman tomb guardian.

Cho'Gath - the Terror of the Void

Cho'Gath is a Voidborn, alien creature of great intelligence, summoned by League of Legends to help decide the fate of Runeterra.

Corki - the Daring Bombardier

Corki's copter was made as an aerial assault vehicle and he was soaring over Valoran with "Screaming Yipsnakes". He served several tours of duty, and after his retirement, has joined League of Legends to test his mettle against the best the world has to offer.

Darius - the Hand of Noxus

Darius was orphaned at young age and had to fight to keep himself and his younger brother alive, becoming really strong. In his wish to put Swain on the Noxus' throne, after proving his power on battlefield, he took it upon himself to (violently) reshape the Noxian leadership.

Diana - Scorn of the Moon

Although Diana was born to the Solari, she always found guidance in the night sky. When she has found an ornate suit of armor and a blade inscribed with sigils of the moon, she was called a heretic. Since then, Diana has resolved to destroy all of those who would deny the power of the moon.

Dr. Mundo - the Madman of Zaun

Dr. Mundo was born without any sort of conscience and has killed a lot in order to create the prefect science-enchanted killer. As seen by his looks, he is also experimenting on himself. Noxus recruited him to initiate a relationship between two nations.

Draven - the Glorious Executioner

Victory in battle was never enough for Draven, so he decided to turn executions into a leading form of entertainment. His ego and ambition outgrew the population of Noxus pretty soon - Draven is now on display for the entire world.

Ekko - the Boy who Shattered Time

Ekko manipulates time with his own invention to spin any situation in his advantage. He's running wild with other lost children of Zaun, doing anything to protect them.

Elise - the Spider Queen

Elise has a black heart of a deadly predator and has exchanged her humanity to become something far more sinister. She sacrifices the innocent to maintain her power and seemingly eternal youth.

Evelynn - the Widowmaker

Evelynn is one of the most deadly assassins in all of Runeterra, always patiently waiting for the right moment to strike her prey. She is not entirely human and her heritage remains unclear, but it's believed that she hails from the shadow Isles.

Ezreal - the Prodigal Explorer

When he was a young adventurer, Ezreal recovered an amulet of incredible mystical power at the expedition to the buried ruins of ancient Shurima. The talisman is now on his hand, amplifying his raw sorcerous skill.

Fiddlesticks - the Harbinger of Doom

Decades ago, there existed a powerful rune mage from Zaun – Istvaan, who became one of the first League's summoners. He stepped too far outside the rules of conduct and eventually sealed himself inside the summoning chamber. What happened in it remains unknown, but those who survived going in it gibbered about crows and death. Fiddlesticks is now an executioner and he seemingly abides by the rules of summoning in the Fields of Justice, but what awaits inside his chamber is still unknown.

Fiora - the Grand Duelist

Born to House Laurent in Demacia, Fiora took control of the family from her father in the wake of a scandal that nearly destroyed them. Bending every effort to restore her family's honour, Fiora became the most feared duelist in all Valoran.

Fizz - the Tidal Trickster

Centuries ago, an ancient water race built a city at the sea. There, Fizz was bored, so he had a habit of sneaking out of the city to look for trouble. One day when he came back, his race has vanished. After some time of wandering the ocean, he found an entry to Bilgewater, where he earned the respect of humans by saving the city from a massive dragon-shark.

Galio - the Sentinel’s Sorrow

Galio was made by a Demacian artificer in order to protect him, which he was, all until the day he was outnumbered by Noxian forces. After the assassination of his master, Galio despaired in solitude. However, seeing a sad yordle girl with Demacian crown gave Galio a new reason to live: to fight for the will of Demacia.

Gangplank - the Saltwater Scourge

Gangplank is unpredictable and brutal reaver king feared far and wide. Where he goes, death and ruin follow.

Garen - the Might of Demacia

Garen is the pride of Demacian military and leader of the Dauntless Vanguard, who has returned from the battle breathless only once - when he first met steel with Katarina. A pursuit of that worthy opponent is the reason for Garen to rise each morning.

Gnar - the Missing Link

Gnar's lore is written from the eyes of a hunter. When Gnar took out his boomerang, the hunter snatched out his weapon out of his hand. That's when he realised he made a terrible mistake.

Gragas - the Rabble Rouser

Drinking is the most important thing to Gragas. In hope of making the ultimate ale, a drink that will make him drunk, he fled to Freljord. There he found the purest water for his ale recipe. He was eager to share it with civilisation and he blundered into negotiation between two tribes discussing an alliance with Ashe. His drink brought them all together, but Gragas still wasn't drunk.

Graves - the Outlaw

Malcolm Graves is a wanted man in every realm, city-state, and empire he has visited. Through his life of crime he has amassed (and lost) a small fortune.

Hecarim - the Shadow of War

Hecarim is a monstrous fusion of man and beast who has been cursed to ride for eternity.

Heimerdinger - the Revered Inventor

Heimerdinger took a lot of effort to make a perfected H-28G, but it wasn't until a young yordle used the prototype against a giant who attacked their town, repurposing Heimers invention into a makeshift turret.

Illaoi - the Kraken Priestess

As the prophet of the Great Kraken, Illaoi uses a huge, golden idol to rip her foes' spirits from their bodies and shatter their perception of reality. Those who challenged her know that the god of the Serpent Isles fights by her side.

Irelia - the Will of the Blades

When her father, a great swordsman, has died, Irelia was left to protect Ionia until her brother returns from military. She was alone when Noxian forces struck. Ionians prepared for surrender, but Irelia rose at the brink of death and her father's weapon lifted into the air alongside her, cutting down Noxians.

Janna - the Storm's Fury

Although her life was tough and dangerous, Janna went from a street vagrant to an avatar of the air overnight. Seeking to right the injustice in the world, she has brought her talents to the League.

Jarvan IV - the Exemplar of Demacia

As his forefathers had before him, Jarvan led Demacian troops into bloody engagements with Noxian forces. After making a mistake that almost killed him, without warning, he hand-picked a squad of Demacian soldiers and left Demacia, vowing to find "atonement". He returned braver and stronger and swore to bring the enemies of Demacia to their knees.

Jax - the Grandmaster at Arms

Before joining the League, Jax was an unremarkable soldier-for-hire. In the Fields of Justice he proved himself to be an immediate terror. After a number of summoners grew concerned by his unbeatable presence, Council created special restrictions for him to fight under. As a means of protest, Jax permitted himself to fight using only a brass lamppost.

Jayce - the Defender of Tomorrow

Jayce was studying a rare arcane crystal when Viktor seized it and left for Zaun. In order to begin his one-man assault he created the Mercury Hammer. After crushing Viktor's acolytes and the crystal, he came back to Piltover as a hero and is now devoted to defend his people.

Jhin - the Virtuoso

Jhin is a criminal psychopath who believes murder is art. Using his gun as his paintbrush, he creates works of artistic brutality, horrifying victims and onlookers.

Jinx - the Loose Cannon

Jinx is a manic and impulsive criminal who despises nothing more than boredom. With an arsenal of deadly toys, she unleashes the brightest explosions and loudest blasts. Always out of the law's reach, her favourite game is to toy with Piltover's finest.

Kalista - the Spear of Vengeance

Kalista is the undying spirit of vengeance, an armoured nightmare summoned from the Shadow Isles to hunt deceivers and traitors.

Karma - the Enlightened One

Karma once lived a tranquil life in a small Ionian village led by elder monks and their peaceful ways. When Noxians advanced to her village and the villagers prepared to accept death, Karma used her powers to scatter the soldiers. She now seeks to protect the peace of Ionia.

Karthus - the Deathsinger

Karthus is an undying spirit whose haunting songs are a prelude to the horror of his nightmarish appearance. He sees beauty in the eternity of undeath. When he emerges, it is to bring the joy of death to mortals.

Kassadin - the Void Walker

Kassadin was one of the few that has found his way to a decaying cyclopean city. He found secrets and the power of the place threatened to consume him forever. However, in order to survive, Kassadin let the Void inside him. Although a part of him died, he knows he must protect Valoran from the things wanting to visit their torments upon the world.

Katarina - the Sinister Blade

Katarina was a combat talent, trained by the finest assassins in Noxus. One day, however, she made a mistake by deciding to assassinate a Demacian General rather than a low-ranking Demacian officer, so a Demacian officer led his forces to ambush unprepared Noxian soldiers. The night she fought them, she earned a scar that serves as a constant reminder that she must never let passion interfere with duty.

Kayle - the Judicator

Kayle was a great hero who fought tirelessly for her people for ten thousand years, all until her rebellious sister Morgana gained powerful new allies. To save the world, Kayle made a pact with the League. In exchange for a thousand years of Kayle's service, High Counselor halted all League interference with Kayle's world.

Kennen - the Heart of the Tempest

As he matured, Kennen's energy found no limits and was matched only by his unnerving speed. He was brought to Kinkou as the Heart of the Tempest and is now working with Akali and Shen to enforce the balance of Valoran.

Kha'Zix - the Voidreaver

Kha'Zix is a vicious Void predator who absorbs his prey's strengths, evolving to grow more powerful. Rengar is the only one who has ever tackled Kha to the ground, so now he hungers most to conquer and consume Rengar.

Kindred - the Eternal Hunters

Although there are many interpretations of Kindred's nature, Kindred represents the twin essences of death. Lamb offers a swift release for those who accept their fate while Wolf hunts down those who run from their end.

Kog'Maw - the Mouth of the Abyss

Kog'Maw is exploring everything he sees by devouring it, both fruits and nomads. He is inexorably frawn towards Malzahar and no one knows what will happen when he finds him.

LeBlanc - the Deceiver

The Black Rose is a dark side of Noxus which LeBlanc is a part of. While it was believed that their time has passed, LeBlanc reemerged at the gates of the Institute of War to emerge to a new global authority: League of Legends.

Lee Sin - the Blind Monk

Lee was intent on becoming a summoner until he made the terrible mistake which obliterated the entire village. He left the Institute and journeyed to Shojin Monastery for eternal repentance and has set himself ablaze as a protest of Noxian occupation of Ionia. Burning his eyes he was reborn and he joined the League of Legends.

Leona - the Radiant Dawn

Leona was a problem child who, unlike her parents, believed that the true worth of a soldier lay in ability to protect. She refused to fight at her first ceremonial battle and was ordered to execution, but when they tried to strike the fatal blow, sunlight burst forth. The Solari then helped Leona focus her abilities, so that she might bring light to even the darkest of battles.

Lissandra - the Ice Witch

Lissandra, the Frozen Watcher, is a corruptor of nature who plots to unleash an ice age on the world and is stealing identities of the Frostguard leaders to warp the tribe's proud traditions. Frostgaurds now serve the witch and long for the return of the Watchers.

Lucian - the Purifier

Lucian and his wife Senna battled evil in Runeterra for years, but nothing they have seen compared to the horrors wrought by the Shadow Isles. There, Thresh tricked Senna and ensnared her soul. In honor of Senna's memory, Lucian vowed to see their mission through to the end.

Lulu - the Fae Sorceress

Lulu spent most of her time wandering alone in the forest, where she found Pix and went with it at the Glade, the enchanted home of fae. There, she lost track of the time, and her return to Bandle City wasn't appreciated. She turned to the League of Legends, a vibrant magical place where those with unusual gifts were admired.

Lux - the Lady of Luminosity

Lux was born to the paragon family of Demacian service, with a possession of a unique command over powers of light. Although she was trained by Demacian military, her true calling is the League of Legends, where she can follow her brother's footsteps and unleash her gifts as an inspiration for all Demacia.

Malphite - Shard of the Monolith

Malphite was a part of The Monolith, the essence of all creation, when he was summoned to the world of Runeterra. Today, as a part of League of Legends, he hammers those who would seek to upset Valoran's movement toward order.

Malzahar - the Prophet of the Void

Malzahar was born with a gift of prophecy but his destiny plotted him another course. He ventured to the lost civilization where his eyes were filled with the essence of the Void. Infused with the power of the Void, he joined League of Legends.

Maokai - the Twisted Treant

Once, Maokai was a peaceful nature spirit, but the arrogance of human brought an end to that life. Infused with the power of ancient oak, he has become a vengeful force of nature and he now searches Valoran for the means to restore the Shadow Isles to its former glory.

Master Yi - the Wuju Bladesman

After Yi brought embarrassment to Noxian High Command, the Noxians recognized the threat of the Wuju and destroyed Yi's home. While he was training for vengeance, a monkey interrupted him by mimicking his movements. After caching, Yi realized he would never master Wuju as long as he pursued it for vengeance. The way to honor the memory of his lost people was to pass his teachings onto a new generation.

Miss Fortune - the Bounty Hunter

Miss Fortune is one of Bilgewater's most infamous bounty hunters. She built her legend upon a swathe of bullet-riddled corpses and captured ne'er-do-wells.

Mordekaiser - the Iron Revenant

Mordekaiser is among the most terrifying and hateful spirits haunting the Shadow Isles and has existed for countless centuries. He enslaves his victims' souls to become instruments of destruction.

Morgana - Fallen Angel

Although Morgana and Kayle are birth-sisters, Kayle disowned any filial connection when Morgana refused to join her cause. Morgana now willingly fights in the League for the privilege of being able to destroy her sister again, and again, and again, waiting for the day Institute will no longer hold her so she could destroy her once for all.

Nami - the Tidecaller

In order to survive, Nami's people need the Tidecaller to retrieve an abyssal pear for the Great Deep and carry it to the surface to exchange it for the Moonstone. Nami found the pearl, but the shore was empty. In search for the Moonstone, she is the first of her kind to explore the world above the ocean, vowed to not return until she completes the Tidecaller's request.

Nasus - the Curator of the Sands

Millennia ago, Nasus stood at the apex of Shuriman society as curator and guardian. Now he roams the arid wastes, seeking to release his brother Renekton from the grip of madness.

Nautilus - the Titan of the Depths

Nautilus was a sailor commissioned to explore the uncharted reaches of the Guardian's Sea. With his crew, he has found a section of black oozing liquid that has grabbed hold of him. His crew left him behind, and Nautilus was changed - the great iron suit had become a seamless shell around him. Nautilus lost track of his old life and has joined League to discover and punish those responsible for the time and life he lost.

Nidalee - the Bestial Huntress

Nidalee's parents have died while they were traveling through rainy jungles with her, and she was taken in and raised by a family of cougars. She absorbed the raw magic of dense wilds and now battles against any who would threaten the vast jungle she calls home.

Nocturne - the Eternal Nightmare

Nocturne is a person's nightmare come to life. He came out of the Twisted Treeline's nexus and hunted summoners in their sleep. To punish him, League's officials trapped him in the physical world, allowing summoners to call upon him in League matches.

Nunu - the Yeti Rider

Nunu often dreamt of places far beyond the shadow of Frostguards citadel. When Frostgards captured the Yeti, a vicious beast, Nunu cared for the creature and learned that it was no feral monster. He joined his Yeti friend Willump in his great escape into the wide world from which they had been kept for so long.

Olaf - the Berserker

In Olaf's tribe, there is no worse fate than to grow old, which was predicted for Olaf. To prove it wrong, he took on the most fearsome tribe in the Freljord - the Winter's Claw. Sejuani was the only one who penetrated Olaf's berserker haze and she promised him to find his glorious death if he would lend his axe to her campaign of conquest.

Orianna - the Lady of Clockwork

Orianna had incredible talent for dancing and was deeply fascinated by the champions of League of Legends. Her naiveté led her to take dangerous chances which led to her tragic demise. Her father created the clockwork killing machine named after her to fight in League.

Pantheon - the Artisan of War

Pantheon is a part of tribe who still revere combat and war as ultimate art forms. Gathering the blessings of his tribe and armed with the relics of his ancestors, he has descended on to the League to show the world a true warrior.

Poppy - Keeper of the Hammer

Bearing a hammer twice the length of her body, Poppy has spent untold years searching for the Hero of Demacia, a warrior said to be the rightful wielder of her weapon.

Quinn - Demacia's Wings

Quinn and her brother dreamed of becoming knights, but on their last adventure a terrible accident claimed her brother's life. When she came back to the scene of the tragedy, she found a wounded Demacian eagle. She nursed him and a deep bond formed between the two. Together, they pursue the dream she had once abandoned.

Rammus - the Armordillo

The mysteries that surround Rammus are numerous, but one thing is for certain: trying to stop the inexorable Rammus is a fool's mission. Ok.

Rek'Sai - the Void Burrower

Rek'Sai is a merciless predator that tunnels through the earth to ambush and devour her pray. Her hunger has laid waste to entire regions of the once-great Shuriman empire. Once she detects you, your fate is sealed.

Renekton - the Butcher of the Sands

Once a gatekeeper of ancient Shurima, Renekton is now consumed by madness and seeks to kill his brother Nasus, who he blames for his current state of mind.

Rengar - the Pridestalker

Rengar was raised by a human who was revered as a legendary hunter. No beasts in Rengar's domain proved challenging prey, all until the day he fought an alien thing where he lost his eye. Although he was badly injured, Rengar felt joy. The hunt was on.

Riven - the Exile

Riven's passion was so exceptional that the Noxus High Command recognized her with a black stone rune sword forged and enchanted with sorcery. She was a part of Noxian invasion to Ionia, but her unit was destroyed from a biochemical terror launched by Singed. Counted dead by Noxus, she shattered her sword, severing ties with the past, and wandered on a quest to seek atonement and a way to save the pure Noxian vision.

Rumble - the Mechanized Menace

Rumble was used to being bullied, but he was showing great potential as a mechanic. However, he believed that Heimer and his associates were "sellouts" and refused to join them. He left Bandle City without a word, but when he returned, he was mechanized monstrosity wanting to show the world what yordle-tech was really capable of.

Ryze - the Rogue Mage

Ryze travelled the world, seeking the wisdom of anyone who had something to share beyond what was taught in the city-states of Valoran. His travels also led him to uncover the giant indestructible scroll he now carries on his back. He joined the League to complete his exploration of mystical Runeterra.

Sejuani - the Winter's Wrath

As a child, she watched her tribe's number slowly dwindle, but she pushed herself to extremes and assumed leadership of her tribe. Under her rule, the tribe grew stronger than they had ever been. When Ashe offered charity, Sejuani believes only the strong deserve to survive in the Freljord.

Shaco - the Demon Jester

Shaco is Valoran's first fully functioning homicidal comic; he jests until someone dies, and then he laughs. No one fully agrees from whence he came, and he joined the League for reasons only he knows.

Shen - the Eye of Twilight

Leader of a secret clan of mystic warrior, Shen is entrusted to enforce equilibrium in the world. Longing to remain free from the confusion of emotion, he struggles to walk the unseen path of dispassionate judgment.

Shyvana - the Half-Dragon

Shyvana spent her youth pursued relentlessly by one cruel drake which killed her father. Jarvan IV offered her aid in her quest for vengeance and together they confronted the vicious dragon that had slain her father. She now serves as a Demacian warrior.

Singed -the Mad Chemist

Singed was an extraordinary chemist and within Warwick's laboratories he toiled without end. His zeal for progress was unquenchable and the he often turned his volatile mixtures on his own flesh. When the uneasy peace settled on the world, he joined the Institute of War. By that time, he was barely even a man, his body both ruined and sustained by his ingenious craft.

Sion - the Undead Juggernaut

Sion led army after army through the massed ranks of Noxus's enemies, but even he had fallen. However, his story didn't end with his death. He was reduced to a simple killing machine, destroying anything that stood on his way. Death is no longer obstacle for Sion - every time he falls, his commanders simply piece him back together.

Sivir - the Battle Mistress

Sivir is a mercenary with a ruthless reputation who has garnered great fame and fortune. Faced with the revelation of her mysterious heritage, she must weigh her desire to continue on her own path, or accept the burden of greater legacy.

Skarner - the Crystal Vanguard

Skarner is a creature who defends the entrance to a realm deep beneath the Shurima. Intelligent, angry and precise.

Sona - Maven of the Strings

Sona was left in orphanage as a baby with an ancient instrument (etwahl) and has never had an ability to produce any sound. When a wealthy Demacian woman learned of the instrument, she adopted Sona and taught her how to play it. Soon, Sona discovered a potent and deadly use for her etwahl and went to the League of Legends.

Soraka - the Starchild

For centuries, Soraka lived in an enchanted grove. One day, Warwick came to her to seek for her guidance after his wife's death. Warwick believed only revenge would help him, and Soraka followed him into the mortal world. She found Warwick fighting in a group of man and used her powers to harm them. Because of that, stars left her and she became mortal. When Warwich slipped a dagger between her ribs, Soraka realized everything he has done was a ruse, so she seared his flesh and cursed his cruelty.

Swain - the Master Tactician

Even when his leg was snapped in half, Swain's gaze never flickered nor did his eyes twitch from the pop of his fibula. Syndra - the Dark Sovereign

When she was young, Syndra's reckless use of magic terrified the elders of her village and they've left her with an old mage who she believed was her mentor, but he was dampening her magic. She accused him of betrayal and killed him. Now she aims to grow powerful enough to destroy everyone who would dare to shackle her greatness.

Tahm Kench - the River King

Tahm travels Runeterra's waterways, feeding his insatiable appetite with the misery of unsuspecting. He may carry you to wherever you wish, but your journey will end in the depths of despair.

Talon - the Blade's Shadow

Talon's mastery of the blade marked him as a threat and Noxian guilds sent assassins to him, but he left their bodies dumped in Noxus's moat. However, one assailant disarmed him and offered him life only if he'd work as an agent of the Noxian High Command. Talon is now obsessed with tracking down the general's whereabouts, although the general has vanished.

Taric - the Gem Knight

Taric's father was a healer in their home city and Taric was always interested in his pursuits, but he wanted to protect rather than heal. He became a knight, happy to serve as a protector to all who seek one.

Teemo - the Swift Scout

While most yordles don't handle solo scouting missions, Teemo is remarkably efficient at them. He is first Bandle City's League champion and has recently struck up a friendship with Tristana.

Thresh - the Chain Warden

Thresh is a restless spirit who prides himself on tormenting mortals. He imprisons his victims in his lantern to torture them for all eternity.

Tristana - the Yordle Gunner

Tristana represents the pinnacle of mortal proficiency, unwavering courage and boundless optimism. For her and her gun, every mission is a chance to prove that heroes exist.

Trundle - the Troll King

Trundle believed his tribe's leader was cowardly, but couldn't beat him, so he made up a story about wielded weapons of great power as symbols of trolls right to rule. Although the story was made up, he found a club of never melting ice in the realm of the Ice With and has promised her a troll army if she'd give it to him. Now, he is a (self-proclaimed) Troll King.

Tryndamere - the Barbarian King

Young Tryndamere and his people warred with other tribes over the resources of the land. One such battle changed his life when dark figure swatted him aside, mortally wounding him. Tryndamere is now on an undying quest for vengeance against the one who destroyed the life he once knew.

Twisted Fate - the Card Master

Twisted Fate is a card shark and swindler who has gambled and charmed his way across the known world. Rarely taking things seriously, he always has an ace up his sleeve.

Twitch - the Plague Rat

Twitch’s role is written as a witnessing of scientist who survived his attack. He's described as a giant, screaming, smelly rat with a crossbow, mad at the scientist for stealing his juice (human waste).

Udyr - the Spirit Walker

Udyr is a child born under a blood red moon and as such has to live between the two worlds of spirit and man. When Ice Witch attacked Udyr, the Spirit Walker shielded him and Udyr embraced its primal nature and became the beast. Lee Sin took him to the monks, where he found harmony and embraced his life as the next Spirit Walker.

Urgot - the Headsman's Pride

Urgot was once a great fighter, but when his body was unable to weather further abuse, he was delegated to the High Executioner of Noxus. After ambushing an enemy territory, his body was cut in half, but a new, machine body was forged for him. He now searches for the man who ended his life.

Varus - the Arrow of Retribution

Varus was chosen to be the warden of sacred Ionian temple. When Noxians invaded Ionia he stayed to defend the temple while his whole village was slaughtered. Full of regret and hate, he swore to slaughter every Noxian invader, so he turned to the temple to become stronger.

Vayne - the Night Hunter

When Shauna Vayne was young, a malevolent woman overcame her father's guard and murdered her family. She escaped and started her training, soon becoming a grim warrior. She is now a Night Hunter and her prowess is legendary.

Veigar - the Tiny Master of Evil

When he was young, Veigar traded with major city-states until the deal with Noxian trader went bad and Noxians imprisoned him. Prison draw Veigar mad and he quickly became a dangerous wizard seeking to end all conflict in Valoran.

Vel'Koz - the Eye of the Void

Vel'Koz is ravenous, hungry creature, in search for the ultimate knowledge.

Vi - the Piltover Enforcer

Vi grew up in the lawless outskirts of Piltover and stealing and stripping hextech hardware gave her the skills of a master mechanic. Although she was a criminal, after leaving her gang in order to save mine workers from a collapsed tunnel, she joined Caitlyn in her sheriff business.

Viktor - the Machine Herald

Viktor led the team that constructed Blitzcrank but a professor stole the credit from him. Angry and in secret, he conceived a project for which nobody else could claim credit - he engineered parts to replace and improve his own body, calling it „the glorious evolution“.

Vladimir - the Crimson Reaper

When Vladimir realized he will never be able to suppress his murderous desires, he fled to an aging monk who taught him how to manipulate and control the fluid of life and eventually his blood was fused with Vladimir's. Without purpose, he demanded enrollment in the League.

Volibear - the Thunder's Roar

After he undertook a climb to the peak of the Ursine's sacred mountain, Volibear was struck by an unnatural bolt of lightning that gave him a vision of Freljord consumed by darkness. The tribe recognized him as a new leader and he revived their battle-hardened traditions.

Warwick - the Blood Hunter

To meet his client's demands, Warwick needed strength that transcended his limited human form. A part of a recipe for that potion was a heart of a celestial being, so Warwick tried to capture Soraka, but she discovered his ploy and drove him away. He drank an unfinished potion and has transformed himself into a creature of both man and wolf, seeking for the heart of Soraka to stabilize his transformation before it's too late.

Wukong - the Monkey King

A group of monkeys who were worshiping an old rune stone destroyed it and produced Kong, a monkey who carried strength and power in his heart. In order to battle the strongest fighters the world has, he took up to Master Yi's advice, and after learning Wuju style, joined League of Legends.

Xerath - the Magus Ascendant

The Ascendant known as Xerath was once a mortal of flesh and blood. Now, he is a being of writhing arcane energy, ready to unleash his power upon Runeterra and utterly destroy any who oppose him.

Xin Zhao - the Seneschal of Demacia

Years ago, Xin was slated to face 300 soldiers for a spectacle called The Fleshing, but Jarvan II offered him to serve Demacia and punish those who ultimately sentence him to death in exchange for his freedom, and Xin accepted. During their retreat, Xin took a poisoned dart meant for Jarvan - this act of loyalty earned him a spot at king's side.

Yasuo - the Unforgiven

Yasuo was once proud warrior, disgraced when he foolishly believed an Ionian Elder's blade alone could make the difference when Noxus invaded, while he was charged with guarding him. After turning himself in, he raised his sword against the school and fought his way free to find the Elder's real killer.

Yorick - the Gravedigger

It is believed that Yorick, a ghoulish being that exists on the edge of mortality, was last of his family line. Dying without an heir to continue its legacy, he was cursed to continue his family's duty even after death.

Zac - the Secret Weapon

Although he was created inside a weapons laboratory, Zac was rescued and adopted by two parents who raised him to be a kind and friendly child. When Zaun laboratory finally found Zac, they tried to tear the family, but Zac subdued his parent's captors and brought his loved ones home. He is a fierce hero, sworn to protect the people of Zaun.

Zed - the Master of Shadows

Zed was trained by Shen's father and could never win his favor. He found a box with dark knowledge within and revealed hidden techniques to win Shen, but master banished him. Years later, the master implored Zed into his temple and destroyed the box, but Zed killed him. Now, the temple is a dark training ground for the Order of the Shadow with Zed as a ruler. His wish is to kill all ninjas who refuse to embrace the shadows.

Ziggs - the Hexplosives Expert

While Ziggs was demonstrating his craft to Yordle Academy it overheated and exploded, leaving Ziggs in shame. However, before he could leave, a group of Zaunite agents kidnapped the professors. Ziggs made hexplosives to save professors from prison and was proposed to demonstrate his new form of yordle ingenuity in League of Legends.

Zilean - the Chronokeeper

There was once a great city that perished in a Rune War and only one man survived - a sorcerer named Zilean. For him it was only fitting that he dwelled in the city's Clock tower, where he searched time to find peace. His research, however, had a cruel side effect, and granted Zilean immortality while trapping him in the present time. League of Legends offered to treat his condition, and Zilean has joined in hopes of finding a way to save his people.

Zyra - Rise of the Thorns

Long time ago, dying plant Zyra transferred her consciousness into a human body for a second chance at life. She enveloped the woman in thorns with ease, but foreign memories invaded her thoughts. Using those memories, Zyra poured her newfound magic into the creation of a human-shaped vessel.
