PUBG Tips and Tricks for Vehicles

In this guide, we'll go through all the vehicles and what to do with them.

Vehicles are a luxury that you can use in some games, but not all of them. In this guide, we'll go through all the vehicles that are currently available in the game, when to use a vehicle and when not to use it, and how to be as smart as possible using those vehicles. With that being said let's get into the guide.

Different Kinds of Vehicles.

There are 5 types of vehicles currently in the game, one is used on the water and the other 4 are used on land.

There are 2 different motorcycles, one standard motorcycle and one with a sidecar. The noticeable differences between these two vehicles are that the motorcycle without a sidecar can fall over when someone ejected from it (thus making it harder to see when it lies on its side in tall grass/wheat), the motorcycle with a sidecar is less stable at higher speeds, and the motorcycle with sidecar can have 3 people on it. These two vehicles are the two fastest vehicles in the game, grant you the most visibility in first person but leave you very vulnerable while using it.

When you have a sidecar, avoid hills and try to stay on flat land.

With the normal motorcycle, you can control it in the air using the CTRL-key to go down and the SPACEBAR-key to go up.

There are 3 different kinds of cars, a UAZ (terrain vehicle), a Dacia, and a Buggy. Cars provide a relatively quick transport around the island with some decent cover to back it up. Cars are safe to ride when they're in mint condition since flipping can't kill you except for when you're in a damaged vehicle and you can always exit it very quickly even if it's in the water or upside down. Let's get into the first car.

There are 3 different types of UAZ's currently in the game but they all drive at the same maximum speed. The difference between the 3 UAZ's is that one has no roof, the other ones have a roof that is either soft-top or hard-top. The soft and hard top types can block bullets from the top while the UAZ that has no roof cannot block bullets and also makes you more vulnerable since the enemies can see where everyone is sitting from almost every angle. This car is one of the most stable vehicles in the game and will almost never drift to the point where you fall over. This car provides reasonable visibility when in first person mode

The Dacia is a car that is less commonly found, comes in 4 colors and is very useful for different reasons. The Dacia is actually really useful to dodge bullets because the windows are quite small and the steering is very sensitive allowing you to turn very quickly. The Dacia also brings its downsides with it, the car has a very slow start-up speed and has a lot of trouble when climbing most hills. You can use this car to your advantage when for example the playzone has landed on a wheat field or a field with tall grass, park the car in front of you and prone behind it from the direction you're getting shot and you don't need to pop your tires because the car is already low to the ground.

The Buggy is an open-frame vehicle which comes in 3 different colors that is very efficient with fuel and maintains high speed even when climbing hills and mountains. This car has high stability but even though it has an open-frame, you can't get killed instantly by flipping over. This vehicle is best-used solo since the 2nd seat on the top is mostly useless because you have no cover. The only cover this car provides is the 2nd seat on the back which allows you to block almost all bullets from behind.

Currently, there's only one vehicle that is able to transport you over water, the boat (PG-117) is a vehicle that spawns across beaches of the two islands but doesn't spawn at cliffs where you can't climb up to the mainland. This boat has a very wide turn angle so be careful when you're near beaches to not let it get stranded when for example you want to pick up teammates. The best uses for the boat include going to places that are hard to reach because of the flight path the plane had in the beginning of the game, reaching late-game play zones that have a small patch of water in them where no one can easily reach you and the boat is useful for crossing the sea between the Sosnovka Military base island and the main island.

When and how to use your available vehicles.

Using vehicles can depend on the location of the map you're currently at, at which stage of the game you are currently in, if you know there are enemies around or not, and the current weather that you have. Let's sum up a few tips for determining when you should use a vehicle, when you shouldn't and when to switch to a new vehicle.

• Make sure the vehicle is close to the compound you're at and you won't need to risk your life getting your vehicle back.
• Vehicles that haven't been used always spawn near roads and mostly face east or south, but this isn't a guarantee.
• If enemies are shooting at you, determine where they are shooting from because you are a sitting duck when you're starting up your vehicle and/or while waiting for your teammate to enter the vehicle.
• When the next play zone is revealed, be quick about your decision to leave your vehicle behind or to go further on foot. Take the amount and kind of terrain that you need to cross over into account when making this decision.
• Using the vehicle in foggy weather could seem more beneficial, but with good map navigation, other players can stalk you to know where you're going.
• Switching vehicles can be beneficial for the type of vehicle, amount of damage that was dealt to your last vehicle, or gas level.
• When leaving behind a vehicle you previously used, destroy at least 2 tires with your weapons when you don't care about making noise or pop the tires with your fists as a silent solution.
• When your vehicle is flipped upside down and you can't use it anymore, throw a frag grenade directly under the middle of the front car to have a high chance of flipping it.

Conclusion

Vehicles are very useful when you can find them, but be very wary when to use them. When you use a vehicle, you should always use the vehicle as transport and possible defense. You should know which vehicles to prioritize and adapt to each scenario, try them all out for yourself to get a better perspective on the vehicles and determine which one fits your driving style the most. Just remember, you can't always have the vehicle you want since the spawns are completely random.

I wish you the best of luck trying to learn the vehicles and using them to drive to victory in the battlegrounds.
