On April 7th the closed beta of Riot Games' newest First-Person-Shooter game VALORANT went live. If you're lucky enough to get your hands on closed beta access, you're already able to enjoy some casual games already. While the closed beta does not have ranked or competitive games yet, we already know all the VALORANT ranks that you'll be able to obtain and the badges for each ranked division.

There are seven ranks in VALORANT: Mercenary, Soldier, Veteran, Hero, Legend, Mythic and Immortal. Mercenary is the lowest rank, while Immortal is reserved for the very best players in the game. Each rank is divided into three divisions such as Mercenary 1, Mercenary 2, Mercenary 3 and then moving on to Soldier 1, Soldier 2 and so on. Each one of these ranks comes with a different badge, which you can see on the image below. You start with a very basic image and when you move from the third to the first division your badge upgrades. Once you reach a higher rank, your badge resets to a simple version but you'll have a higher rank to boast!

The addition of ranks in VALORANT is an exciting opportunity for progress. VALORANT looks like a great and exciting game but every hardcore gamer needs a challenge and sense of progression to avoid things getting stale. As Riot Games has a lot of experience with ranked and competitive games, we are very hopeful and excited for the future of VALORANT.
