Champions to help you Climb Elo

In this blog I will be talking about one champion from each role that can help you climb the ladder.

Before we begin, all of these champions mentioned do start to fall off the higher in elo you climb, as people become better and better and know how to play against these champions correctly, with that, let's begin.

Annie

The first champion on our list today will be no other than Annie. To get it out of the way, this is MID Annie, not support. Now Annie as a character is my favorite in the game, I mean, hello, she gets to throw a bear on you. Other than that, she is a great champion to climb the ladder with because of her safe laning phase and her great roam potential to set of her and her team. You can do so suprising burst after 6, so always look to through your bear Tibbers on them. A little trick I picked up along the way was if you have three charges on your passive, to deceive the enemy into thinking they are safe from your stun, walk up Q and while the Q is traveling, E to get the stun activated mid-air and potentially a kill. While Annie is strong there are a few things that counter her very well.

One of those being a Banshees Veil. Banshees Veil is almost like the bane of her existence because unless your team has someone to poke the Banshees Veil off the enemy carries, you can not go in. Another thing to be watchful of is Quick Silver Sash(QSS). Though this is not as bad as Banshees Veil, it still is annoying. It is beatable, all you have to do is burst the carries before they have time to react with the QSS. One last thing that hurts Annie is the late game. Some could argue that she does not fall off late game but, she does in this article. The lanes you stomped are now getting their items, and the 10-0 score you have is only that, a score. The enemy of definetly stacked Magic Resist with at least one Locket Of the Iron Solari. With all this is mind, try to win the game before 30-35 minutes, this way they can not get these items to counter her.

Tryndamere

The second champion on our list will be Tryndamere. This will be for TOP lane. Tryndamere has a great overall game in my opinion. In laning, he can get up to a max of 35% critical strick chance, which in itself is ridiculous for trades. After a trade is finished and you hit crits(maybe) you can use the rage to heal yourself. His W against AD champions is great because it lowers their AD making your trading even better. He is almost un-duelable with the right items, making his split push presure insane. As mentioned right there, his split push is really good and what makes him such a great champion to climb with. Now his weaknesses. First, if people know how to play against split push correctly, you will have a rough game. You can try to teamfight but if they know how to beat your split push, your teamfight will now be much better, being kited and whatnot. If you lose the early game due to high preusre or the enemy beating you, mid game will be very rough because of your lack of items, which also correlates to very little tower damage.

Leona

The third champion on our list will be Leona. Leona is probably one of the best SUPPORTS in the game in my opinion. Not to complex and easy to learn. Three out of her four abilities are crowd contolling(CC) affects. She gains a lot of armor and magic resist through her W, making her very tanky. In lane you can trade nicely IF you can find an opening onto the enemy ADC because of your multiple crowd controlling abilities. You can roam out of lane to mid and get some kills throwing the mid laner off gaurd with her ultimate range. Her mid and late game are awesome because, even if you fell behind a tiny bit, you can still be super usefull with all of your CC. With all of this good does come bad. In lane, a long ranged ADC like Caitlyn can poke you down easily and dodge your CC with her E. An alistar or thresh can flay you off your E also disrupting your only gap closer. If you fall behind too much, the mid game will be rough because your CC become very hard to use because you are easily killed before you can use it all. One of her major setbacks is her ult stun and E are both pretty hard hit. Her ult stun is hard to hit because you have to hit in the center are of it. Her E width was nerfed a few patches ago because of her rising popularity in competitive play.

Tristana

The fourth champion on the list will be Tristana. Her role as an ADC is very strong and eveything you could ask for. You have an huge escape with you W that resets with kills or assists. She has a knockback, long range(as you level) and a attack speed boost. Other than those reason, the main reason I put her here was because of they amazing E, her strongest ability. If your team is stuggling getting towers after laning, just go that lane, pop you e on the tower, auto attack untill it is fully charged, and that tower is either dead or close to it. She is the best turret destroyer in the game for this reason and can get you and your team a vision lead and a gold lead. Now for her bad. She has a weak laning phase wich could be abused absurdley because of your shorter range because you are level one, two, etc. If you did not level you jump, a support like Thresh could abuse that with a hook flay combo. To become a tower menace, you need items, so farming really well is neccesary if you can not get kills. Other than that though, she would be a great champion to climb with, not as much bad as the other champions mentioned so far.

Master Yi

Last but not least, I introduce you to Master Yi, the JUNGLE terror. Master Yi can ruin the enemies solo queue experience because he is so frustrating at times. After AFK farming for 15 minutes, you should be close(or have finished) your devourer item. Building full AD, you can delete an ADC or mid laner from the game because of your insane burst. His ult and Q lets you get the them, his E true damage and passive let you remove them from the game for 30 seconds(varying on your game time). His split push is crazy and his teamfighting is not too bad because of the lack of communication in solo queue. His weaknesses are huge though, probably the biggest on this list. If he falls behind, he provides no CC, no split push(because people can duel him), no damage in a teamfight. Ways to fall behind are a invading jungler such as Nunu, Shyvana, or Udyr. If you lose dragons, stacking devourer will take longer. If the enemy picked a great early game jungler that presures lanes, that would hurt you too. But if you can ward up with your team(to prevent ganks and invades), ask them to play a little safer then normal, you can win.

That about raps it up for this one,
