1v1s are a core part of CS. Whether you are dueling to improve or to settle a debate with a friend, everyone in CS 1v1s at some point. However, setting up a 1v1 isn’t easy in CS2. Since CS2 does not have built-in maps for 1v1s, you must download them from the Workshop.
However, the problem is that the 1v1 genre is saturated and filled with maps. Finding a good one can be difficult. Fret not, as we have done the work for you and collected some of the best 1v1 maps in CS2 for you to enjoy with your friends.
Note: A lot of these maps will have similar names like “1v1 Aim map” or “1v1 Map”. That's just how they are named, but all of these maps are quite different. Secondly, this list is in no particular order, just some of the best 1v1 maps on the Workshop.
If you are looking to improve your reaction time and flicks when it comes to AWPing, then try dueling your friend on this map. It’s a small map, and duels end quickly. There is only a box to use as cover, and you have to think quickly about how to peek and land the shot.
This map tests your reflexes, reaction time, and how good you are with the AWP. Because of the compact size of the map, duels end very quickly in just one or two shots, which makes all the more exciting and adrenaline-filled.
On the other hand, if you are looking for a more traditional AWP 1v1, then AWP Lego 2 is a classic map you need to try. The map is quite big and is filled with different angles and elevations–winning on this map is all about reading your opponent and positioning correctly.
Because there are so many different angles, this map also tests your mechanics and overall aiming ability as well as your awareness. You can attack from the sides, lurk from under the bridge, or take a bold position on top of the bridge, there are so many ways to enjoy this map.
If all you want to prove is how good your aim is to your opponent, then this map might be worth a try. All you have for cover is a couple of boxes, and you are separated by a small empty field. You fight against your opponent by peeking from the boxes, trying to read your opponent's moves, all while trying to one-tap him.
You can choose between three rifles: M4A4, M4A1-S, and the good old AK-47. You can also find a Scout to practice sniping as well. In short, it’s a simple, straightforward map designed to test your dueling skills.
Pool, or commonly known as fy_poolday, is an OG map from CS 1.6. As the name suggests, you are in a pool house that’s symmetrical on both sides. You pick up guns off the floor and fight to the death. The map is extremely small, which means duels end fast.
It’s fast-paced, fun, and extremely nostalgic to play on this map. While it’s not your traditional 1v1 map, it’s still entertaining to play.
Aim_redline is also a classic 1v1 map made popular by FaceIt. You would often find this map in FaceIt’s 1v1 or 2v2 queues. The map has different-sized boxes lined up on both sides to act as a cover. You also have stairs that lead to a platform to give the map some elevation.
It’s a map that’s designed for 1v1s in mind, everything is symmetrical on both sides, and the distance is enough to test your aim.
This map is quite similar to Redline, but it is smaller and slightly better looking. The idea is the same: separate the two players and give them boxes for cover and let their dueling skill prove who’s going to be the last standing.
It’s a battle of one-taps, reading peeks, and controlling your spray. If you peek too much, you get one-tapped, but if you give the opponent too much time, he could close the distance. Overall, a simple and fun 1v1 map that tests your mettle against other players.
If you are looking for a more dynamic 1v1 that’s not strictly aim-dependent, then you can try this map. In terms of layout, the map is similar to AWP_india but smaller. There is a bridge in the middle with open spaces to its sides. You have walls for covers at both ends.
You have to buy your weapon on this map, which also makes you manage your economy. You can buy utilities like flashes and choose any weapon you want. Of course, if you want to have max money every round and don’t want to care much for economy, you can use commands to do that.
It’s safe to say that 1v1s are extremely fun and competitive, but don’t let a bad map ruin that. 1v1s are quite popular, which is why you will see the Workshop filled with 1v1 maps, so finding one that works properly can be difficult. However, these maps have everything you need to 1v1 your friends. If you want to test your quick scopes and flicks, you can try the first map, whereas if you want a more classic dueling experience like the good old FaceIt days, then maybe download Redline. Overall, these are some great maps to 1v1 on.
