Default Strategies for T-side Cache

You want to prepare for taking mid control or for executing A or B-site on Cache? Here are 3 default strategies to help!

Cache became one of the most balanced maps in the game lately, so being able to execute and take control of a site as a Terrorist is an important factor in order for you to win the game. To help you achieve more rounds on the T-side of Cache, I've gathered some default strategies to make it easier for you to prepare for an execute. Keep in mind that these strategies will work better if they are executed by a full team in which every single player knows what he needs to do.

Default strategy for a B execute (3-1-1)

B-site on Cache is probably the hardest to take control of as a Terrorist, but this makes it more rewarding, as it means that it will be harder for the CT's to execute a retake. This default strategy will focus on helping you take Checkers control at first, which is a huge advantage before executing on B-site. For this strategy, you'll need 3 players setting up towards the B-site looking for an opening while the other two watch their back so they don't get flanked.

The Purple player

This player needs to make sure you don't get flanked by watching A-main, Squeaky and Boost. The best position for this player to be in is behind the truck near T Spawn, which allows him to see if a CT is pushing from any of the points on the map mentioned above. If this player gets an opening kill, your team must decide if they are going to rotate towards A or continue playing from the same positions and hitting the B site. If the other players gain control of Checkers, this guy can either lurk at the same position hoping to get a kill or start running towards his teammates to help them take control of B.

The Blue player

After getting a player to watch the A push, you also need a guy watching if there is any CT pushing Mid through Garage. A good position for this player is in the Garbage/Dumpster area which will allow him to quickly follow and help the other players if they get a kill towards B later in the round.

The Red players

These two players will set up in a crossfire position towards the B-site exit points from the Sun Room/Flash Room area trying to get the opening kill. If they do so, they should start pushing towards Checkers and take control of this area. After they get in this position, your team is ready to hit the B-site as you have Checkers control and you've already killed a CT on the B bombsite.

The Green player

This player needs to help the red players if they get flashed while watching the B-site exits. The best position for this player is behind a wall from where he can quickly peek if his teammates get flashed.

Default strategy for Mid Control (1-3-1)

Having Mid control on Cache as a Terrorist gives you a huge advantage. This allows you to do an A split or a B split and maybe even push to CT Spawn through Z/Connector. For this strategy, you need 3 players working to take Mid control while the other two watch their back and are ready to follow them into a B or A-split.

The Purple player

This player needs to position himself in a spot that gives him the opportunity to see everyone pushing from B-site. Some good positions for this player are: in the Sun Room/Flash Room area (like in the picture above), in the Dumpster/Garbage area or even near T spawn while looking towards B-site. This player will play different later in the round based on his team decisions: if they take Mid control and decide to do a B-split, he will follow them and help them to take B control. If his team decides to do an A-split, this player will have to choose whether he will follow them or lurk around the B-site area trying to get a rotation kill.

The Blue player

If you're having a player watch B push so the players working Mid will not get flanked, you also need a guy towards the A-site for the same reason. This player will have to kill any CT pushing from A-main or Squeaky. A good position for this player would be far back in A-main but he will have to take a look at Squeaky from time to time. Later in the round, he will have to either follow his team onto the A site if they decide to do an A-split or lurk around the A-site looking for a rotation kill if his team decides to do a B-split.

The Yellow player

This will mainly be the player who needs to get the opening kill in order for his team to take Mid control. He needs to get boosted and look for any opening that he can get. It's best for this player to be an awper, as it easier for him to get picks from this position.

The Red players

After the yellow player gets an opening kill, these two players will have to run out from the Garage area and start taking Mid control. If the boosted guy doesn't get the opening kill, they will instead have to run out to try and get the entry themselves while the other player supports them from the Boost area. These two players play an immense role in this strategy because they are the ones making sure the team takes proper control of Mid.

Default strategy for an A execute (1-1-3)

A-site on Cache is probably the most commonly hit by the Terrorists because it is situated into a more opened area which allows them to easily contest the site. This strategy will focus on getting an opening kill towards the A-site by sending two players into the A-main area and one player in Squeaky while the other two are going to look out for any CT trying to flank them.

The Green player

Like in the previous scenarios, you'll need a player watching your back and being ready to kill any CT pushing from B-site. If this player decides to lurk around the B-site for the whole round, he should position himself in the Sun Room/Flash Room area. Otherwise, if he decides to follow his teammates later in that round, he should play somewhere closer like the Garbage/Dumpster area while looking towards B-main/B-halls.

The Blue player

This player can set up in two different positions based on what he wants to do later in the round. If he decides to get boosted, he will wait for everyone pushing Mid at first and then try to run up Highway/Short as soon as his teammates take control of the A-site. If he decides to set up somewhere around the Garage area, he will just wait for the Mid push at first and then follow his teammates through A-main helping them take control of the site.

The Red players

These two players have the main role in this default strategy. They will be the ones deciding if they want to get an entry by peeking from A-main or if they will just wait and prepare for a full execute later that round based on the information they get. If the CT's from A-site have no nades left, their best option is to do a full execute.

The Yellow player

The last player will position himself in Squeaky, where he will have to make a big decision. He can either "lurk" there without making any noise, getting ready to run out as soon as his team gets an opening kill or he can open the door as he gets in this position, trying to help the players from A-main get a pick.

Conclusion

In all these default strategies you will have three players setting up around the area you want to take control of trying to take any opening they can, while the other two players will set themselves up looking for any CT trying to flank their teammates. In each of these three scenarios, one player who is watching the flank will be closer to the other three so he can easily follow them if they get an entry or they decide to fully commit, while the last player in the team will mainly lurk around the other part of the map trying to get rotation kills after his team plants the bomb on the other side of the map. Remember, as I said in the beginning of the article, that these strategies will be more rewarding and will work out better if they are executed by a full team. "Unity is strength. . . when there is teamwork and collaboration, wonderful things can be achieved."
