Five Pop Flashes You Should Know For de_mirage
Looking for some new tricks? Need a little help holding your bomb site? Here are five convinient pop flashes for the map de_mirage.
Flashbang grenades are a huge asset to your arsenal in CS:GO. Whether you're taking a bomb site with your team or stopping the enemies from entering, a well placed flashbang can help to quickly turn the battle in your favor. A key to this is the pop flash, designed to give your opponent the minimal amount of time to look away before the flash pops, resulting a white screen for them and kills for you. Learning to effectively use your tools is essential to growing as a player in Counter-Strike. Below are five pop flashes to help you on de_mirage. There will also be a video with a quick runthrough of each flash shown at the bottom.
#1: B Bomb Site - Balcony to Apartments
Top - Start by jumping on top of the bench outside the doorway from apartments. Then, look slightly behind the first post sticking out. Use a right + left click throw to bounce the grenade off the underside of the roof.
Bottom - It should come down and hit the floor behind the wall before bouncing again and flashing anyone running down the hallway. Make sure to turn around yourself to avoid being blinded!
#2: B Bomb Site - Bench to Apartments
Top - There are two pieces of metal that stick out of the concrete forming a V. Line up the top left side of this V with the line in the center of the van. Then, move your crosshair up until you reach the bottom of the gap where the tree is exposed in between the two leaves. Next, run forward and use a left click throw to bounce the grenade off the tree and back onto the top of the van.
Bottom - The result is anyone looking towards the van will be blinded.
#3: B Bomb Site - Catwalk (Short B) to Top Mid
This is an extremely useful flash for supporting your teammate playing in window or connector.
Top - Go behind the doubles stacked crates and line up your crosshair by looking down at the spot where the two shadows meet.
Middle - Look at the corner of the dark area on the bottom of this ledge.
Bottom - Your grenade should bounce off the ledge and back down into the vision of anyone who is top mid.
#4: Mid - Window to Top Mid
Top - Start by finding the group of 4 squares with a dot near the center, look straight down where they meet in the middle.
Middle - Find the two horizontal white lines on the ceiling, move your crosshair to the right edge of the wood, then use a left click throw.
Bottom - Like the balcony flash, this should fall out of sight from top mid, then bounce up again to flash them.
#5: A Bomb Site - Dark to A Ramp
Left - Position your crosshair on the line where the two colors meet each other, then run forward and throw using left click.
Right - The grenade should bounce off the wall twice and back on top of the block before popping and blinding anyone coming out of A Ramp.
The nicest thing about this flash is that it stays hidden from your teammates playing on A bomb site, allowing them to continue to shoot at anyone exiting the ramp without being blinded themselves.
