Fortnite X Starwars: Everything You Need To Know

The most-awaited collab of Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 is finally here, and this is everything that’s new.

It has finally happened: Star Wars is back in Fortnite, and it is better than before. It is the season's final update, and Epic did not disappoint. There is a lot of new content to discover, including new weapons, Star Wars cosmetics, and even live events. That’s not all, the collaboration is not limited to Battle Royale; Lego Fortnite, Rocket Racing, and Fortnite Festival have all received updates.

The Star Wars update replaces the Avatar: The Last Airbender collab, so you will no longer find the bending mythics and skins. With that said, we have so much new content to cover so let’s thank the bus driver and dive in.

Star Wars in Battle Royale

The biggest update is obviously going to be in Battle Royale mode. Since this update removed Avatar items from the game, it better be worth it. And, sure enough, it is. There are tons of new weapons to discover and skins to play with.

Duo Up with Chewbacca

Chewbacca has been apprehended in an Empire camp. You can save him from the Empire's claws, and in exchange, he will work with you to win the Victory Royale. It’s not going to be easy though, the area is packed with guards, so be prepared to bring out good weapons and a lot of shields.

This camp will randomly spawn around the map and is highlighted by blue smoke. There, you can defeat all the guards and rescue Chewbacca. He will do a dance for you, drop you the new Wookier Blaster Mythic Weapon, and become your fighting partner for the rest of the match.

New Weapons

There can be no Star Wars collaboration without the iconic weapons. This update brings three new mythic weapons to the Island, the Wookie Bowcaster, E-11 Blaster, and the Darth Vader Lightsaber.

The Wookier Bowcaster and E-11 Blasters can be found throughout the map in loot spawns and chests. Both are Mythic Weapons with infinite ammo. The Wookier Bowcaster is a slow-firing automatic bow with two fire modes. You can shoot continuous lasers or charge it for an explosive shot. In contrast, the E-11 is an automatic rifle that fires lasers at enemies, burning them down in classic Star Wars style.

Finally, the most exciting weapon of all, the Lightsaber, can only be found after defeating Darth Vader. If you notice at the top of the map, a new island has appeared. A Lambda shuttle has landed, bringing Darth Vader and his goons to Fortnite. All you need to do is defeat Darth Vader and his goons to get the Mythic Lightsaber.

You can slash at enemies, parry their attacks, and when you are bored with that throw it at the enemies like a boomerang.

Overall, in terms of weapons, this new collab is looking quite solid.

Cosmetics

Of course, you can’t have a Fortnite collab without amazing skins. The Star Wars update doesn’t disappoint in that regard either.

The main outfits include AWR Trooper, Dagobah Luke, Lando Calrissian, Han Solo, Leia Organa, Imperial Stormtrooper, and Boba Fett. All of these are available in the Item Shop to grab.

There are new back blings, pickaxes, and emotes as well. The ones most worth mentioning are the Yoda and Disassembled C-3PO back blings available in the Dagobah Luke bundle. They are one of the best-looking back blings added, so definitely check them out.

Lego Fortnite X Starwars

Aside from the crazy updates in Battle Royale, Lego Fortnite is getting a lot of Star Wars-themed content.

The most notable addition is the new Lego Pass, which includes the iconic Chewbacca skin for both Battle Royale and Lego versions. Aside from that, you will get a ton of new Lego Star Wars structures to decorate your base. It is available for purchase at 1400 V-Bucks.

Cosmetics are not the only additions to Lego Fortnite. In fact, there is a full live event and storyline. You enter a cave and are teleported to a Star Wars-themed universe, where you can participate in a live event and interact with various Star Wars characters. There is an entire story to follow, which we will not spoil, so get into Lego Fortnite and experience it for yourself.

Star Wars Meets Rocket Racing

Rocket Racing has gotten a lot of beginners hooked, and the fast-paced arcade racer has become quite a fan favorite. So, it wouldn’t be fair if it wasn’t part of the Fortnite X Star Wars collaboration.

But, we won’t need to worry about that as Star Wars is also in Rocket Racing. In fact, there is a new car called Beskar, and it comes in a bundle that includes different wraps and tires. You can take the Basker and test it out on the new Star Wars universe-inspired tracks.

Conclusion

In short, the Star Wars update does not disappoint. It’s one of the best updates we have gotten this season. It being the final update only makes it so that Chapter Season 2 ends with a bang. Hop into the game and try out all the weapons and cosmetics for yourself.
