Days of peace are over, and the Day of the Doom is here—but it's not going to last long. Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 dives players into the world of Dr. Doom. The game revolves around the allies of Marvel's Avengers fighting together to defeat Dr. Doom. One thing is for sure: It won't be easy to defeat the genius evil scientist.

Day of Doom is a limited-time mode in the ongoing season. It is inspired by the Endgame LTM from Chapter 2, which the Fortnite community absolutely loved.

In this 32-player PVP LTM, players are divided into two teams of 16. You are either one of Doom’s henchman or an Avenger Ally. Both have their own set of weapons and abilities to fight each other. It is a difficult fight because Dr. Doom, once defeated, respawns until the game's end.

Day of Doom is a very chaotic all-out fight between the two groups. Without further ado, let’s see what the limited-time mode has in store for us.

Who is Doctor Doom in Fortnite?

Dr. Doom, also known as Victor von Doom, is a genius scientist from Marvel Universe who turned evil for greater powers. Hailing from a Latverian village, he was a true-born genius. In some versions of the story, it is said that Doctor Doom is stronger than even Thanos.

His goal is to bring order to humanity through world conquest. One can wonder about what Doctor Doom’s plans are for the island, but one thing is for sure: his thirst for power never stops.

When it comes to his weakness, the only notable one found is his arrogance. Suffice to say, he is at the top with other Marvel villains.

How to Win as a Henchman?

The objective of Doom’s Henchmen is to collect all six Arcane artifacts that spawn from the sky and are scattered around the map. Once all collected, the allies of Avengers won't be able to respawn anymore. The Henchmen have a total of 80 respawns, so they better be careful.

While it is fun being Doom’s chosen one and fighting the Avengers allies, it makes you vulnerable to fighting multiple Avengers at once, which can be hectic. Do not worry, though; once Doom's chosen one is defeated, another henchman takes over as the chosen one.

How to Win as an Avengers Ally?

On the other hand, the objective for The Allies of Avengers is to defeat the henchmen before they are able to collect the artifacts. Which may seem easier at first since Avengers Allies have unlimited respawns. There is no shortcut to winning, but to fight your way to the end and survive for your team.

Doom and His Henchmen’s Weaponry

Dr. Doom's abilities include Scorch Beam, which deals high damage to both players and structures and Mystical Gigabomb, a blast attack.

If you become Doctor Doom’s Henchman, you have access to the following weaponry.

• Dr. Doom’s Arcane Gauntlets,
• Mythic-quality Combat Assault Rifles,
• Shockwave Grenades
• Monarch Pistol
• Sovereign Shotgun

All of these are also available in the classic BR mode, so most of you should be familiar with these weapons.

Avengers and Allies Weaponry

If you are on the good side of the fight, you have the tools of Avengers at your disposal.

Captain America — Symbol of America

The heroes get the iconic fan favorite Captain America shield. For offense, a legendary Striker Burst Assault Rifle, Super Slap Splashes, Dual Micro-SMGs, and Shield Bubble Jr.

Iron Man — Genius, Billionaire, Playboy, Philanthropist

From the minds of the genius and the one and only Iron Man, the legendary Iron Man combat kit and flight kit. It includes a Stark Industries Energy Rifle and legendary Hyper SMG with Chug Splashes. Equip it with an Iron Man skin, and it's a dream come true for Marvel fans.

War Machine — The Iron Patriot

War Machine’s Auto-Turret, Hover Jets, and War Machine’s Arsenal. Need more? Why not have a Stark Industries Energy Rifle with legendary rarity and Chug Splashes? A complete War Machine.

Black Panther — The Pride of Wakanda

The Black Panther claws of Shuri, the pride of Wakanda. Partnered with a legendary Striker Assault Rifle and a Ranger Pistol. And for other items, Chug Splashes and 2 Rift-to-Gos to reach the artifacts quicker than others or to run away from fights for some.

Not just these highly-graded superhero weapons, but Epic Games have also made some helpful changes for the Avengers Allies. They have increased the max shield to 200, changed the Mythic Shockwave cooldown from 7 seconds to 12 seconds. and Doom’s Lighting Ball cooldown has been increased from 8 seconds to 12 seconds. Finally, the shield regeneration cap has also been increased from 50 to 150.

Earn XP and Level Up

While this LTM gives a lot of XP, especially to Doom’s chosen one, there are no rewards that have been announced for this mode specifically. But players can earn a lot of XP while having fun, which will boost their battle pass and other XP-related challenges and rewards.
