"How Did He See Me?" One Way Smokes For Inferno
Here I will show you some one-way smokes for Inferno!
Here I will show you some one-way smokes for Inferno!
Smoke grenades play an integral part of CS:GO gameplay. They allow players to block off parts of the map which would otherwise be readily available for use by the enemy team, and therefore gain an advantage. Sure these smokes are incredibly useful, but what if you want to do more? What if you want to actually be able to use the smokes to block the enemy off, while also being able to see the enemy yourself? Well, you actually can do this by using one-way smokes! Here I will show you just a few of these fantastic smokes on one of the more popular map choices, Inferno.
Banana Car Smoke #1:
The first smoke that can be used as a one-way smoke occurs on the car in banana. What you need to do is go to the cart just before construction and go to the corner between the cart and the construction wall. From there, look at the AC unit on the right across from construction. Align your crosshair with the first up-down rivet on the AC, and move your crosshair upwards to until you are right above the chimney level. This position should align up with the rivet on the side of construction nearest the level of the top of the chimney, and then do a long grenade throw (left click).
This angle will cause the smoke to land on top of the car trunk and allow you to see underneath the smoke while crouching, but they will not be able to see you from the other side. One thing to note about this smoke, however, is that it can leave a gap near the wall near sandbags for the terrorists to go through. As long as you are watching closely, though, you will be fine.
Banana Car Smoke #2:
The next smoke is another one for car, but this time the smoke lets you see down banana more. First, go to the cart near sandbags and go up to the corner between the cart and the wall nearest B site. Look at the arches and pillars on sandbag wall, and move your crosshair to the furthest right pillar that is not standing on its own. Then, move your crosshair to the middle of the square pedestal between the pillar and the arches, and do a long grenade throw.
This will cause the grenade to land on top of the car, and gives you a gap near the windshield of the car where you will be able to see down banana. Do not go too far towards the wall, however, as this will give the enemy a greater chance of seeing you through the smoke. I highly recommend this smoke when using a silenced m4 since it will be even harder for the enemy to know exactly where you are.
Banana Cart Smoke:
The last one-way smoke on B site is a smoke right before cart near banana. To do this smoke, first go up to first barrels and go to the corner between the B site wall and first barrels. From here, look past the door and look at the first blue shutter. Then, move your crosshair to the corner between the wall and the ground, and find the area that has a little longer dark line. From this spot, on the corner of the ground and wall, throw a medium throw (both left and right click throws at the same time).
This will give you a smoke that allows you to move up to the cart. As you move up to cart with your back against the wall, you will slowly see banana come into focus. As long as you stop just as you begin to make out the features of banana, the other team will not be able to see you. If you move too far forward, however, the enemy team may be able to find you in the smoke. One tip with this smoke is to drop back as soon as you feel like you have been noticed, since they will easily be able to spray and kill you as long as the enemy team has multiple members near banana.
Truck Side Smoke:
Now that we've gone through B site, let's take a look at what A site has to offer. Sadly, there is not much here, with only one smoke being extremely useful. To do this smoke, first go back to the pillar in pit and align yourself to the middle of the edge between the walls looking down towards truck side. Afterwards, look towards the apartment side of A site and find the lion head on the side of the wall (above the first box coming from mid), and aim your crosshair in the area right above it. Then do a long grenade thrown, which will cause the grenade to land right on the edge of a site and give a small gap between the ground and the smoke. This will cause a smoke that lets you see enemy's coming at you from truck side if you crouch, while the enemy cannot see you. In this position, even if the enemy tries to spray through the smoke, bullets will have less of a likelihood of hitting you since only your head will be above the ledge. Therefore, you should only have to worry about enemies coming from apartments or incoming molotov grenades from the enemy team.
Hopefully this guide is useful for many of you. When doing these, just remember to keep track of the surroundings and do not use them all the time, since the enemy will surely catch on to what you are doing after one or two times.
