Overpass can be quite a complex map in competitive play. With its many nooks and crannies as well as places where you can hide and flank from, this map is a staple of the CS:GO competitive map pool. Let's talk about some places you can smoke as both a CT or T to help make sure you win every match on this map.

Smokes for CTs:

- Dumpster to Construction Smoke

For this smoke, you'll want to position yourself up against the green dumpster on A site looking towards truck. From here you'll want to move your cursor up to the very left corner of the wooden electricity pole behind the truck and throw the smoke. The smoke will land right next to the construction box, effectively blocking access towards B site from that way which will allow both you and your teammates to focus on graffiti until the smoke clears.

- B Site to Construction Smoke

For this one, you'll want to sit in water on B site under heaven. You'll want aim at the yellow crane and make sure that the crane is at that angle. This is very important as the crane DOES move, and if it is at a different angle than in the picture, the smoke WILL NOT work. From here you'll want to run and throw the smoke which will land more towards water rather than inside construction.

- A Site to Water

For this smoke, you'll want to prop yourself up against the box closest to the building marked with an orange letter A. From here you'll want to aim to the upper left corner of the building (closest to the truck) and throw. This will land the smoke exactly at the entrance of the tunnel leading into water thus stopping any further advances by the Ts. Alternatively, you could also have a teammate or two watching the smoked area should any Ts get bold and charge through it.

Smoke for Terrorist Side:

- T Spawn Barrel to B Site

For this one, you'll want to position yourself on top of the barrel propped up against the fence leading towards graffiti. From here you'll want to aim at the top of the tall red and white antenna tower and throw. This will smoke the corner of B site, making you invisible from heaven and allowing your teammates to push onto site and cover you while you plant the bomb.

- Water to B Site

Here you'll want to walk into the corner immediately to the left of the tunnel and aim at the right corner of the third bridge post from the left and throw. This will land in almost the same spot as the last smoke enabling you to plant the bomb without being shot from heaven while your teammates protect you.

- Water Door to Heaven

Here you'll want to position yourself on top of the box by the barcode on the wall right in front of the door. You'll want to aim at the bottom left of the first bridge post from the left and throw. This smoke will completely block off heaven allowing you and your teammates to push on site and focus on any other areas where CTs might be holding from.

- T Spawn Barrel to Bridge

You'll want to be standing next to the barrel, in the corner between it and the fence. Then you'll want to aim straight up, lining your crosshair up with the railing on the sign post and throw. This will smoke the bridge connecting the heaven stairs walkway to the actual B site. This way, your team will be able to focus on heaven and water and you can plant the bomb inside the smoke.

- Water to Bridge

For this smoke, you'll want stand in between these two pipes in water. You'll want to aim at the tip of the tall wooden pole above the fourth bridge post from the left and throw. This smoke will land in the same position as the other one.

- T Spawn to Construction

For this smoke, you'll want to stand on top of this pallet on the left hand side wall of T spawn going towards graffiti. From here you'll want to aim towards the upper right corner of the left metal box on the big sign and throw. This will land just short of the actual construction corridor leading into B site which will allow you to plant the bomb without anyone bothering you from there. You should still have a teammate watch the smoke however, should any CT get brave and rush through it.

- Playground Bench to Rock

You'll want to stand against the corner of the bench facing away from long and aim up to the left hand corner of the white ball on the wall post, and throw. The smoke will completely block off any AWPer at rock, forcing him to leave his spot and be vulnerable to anyone coming from fountain to long or from bathrooms to long.

- Playground Bench to Restrooms

For this one, you'll want to stand in the corner of the bench closest to long and aim up towards the top of the tree's middle branch and throw. The smoke will completely block off the entrance to restrooms facing party, allowing you and your teammates to safely take control of mid and flank any bathroom players from long.

- Bathrooms to Bank

You'll want to walk into this corner right outside of bank and aim towards the right corner of the first level of the tower behind bank and throw. While you're doing this, do remember you're vulnerable from A site, so make sure a teammate is covering you. This will completely smoke off bank so you can focus on dumpster, boxes, or truck.

- Long to Dumpster

For this one, you'll want to stand in this exact spot next to the flower wall on long A. From here you'll want to aim at the first AC unit to the right of the bank sign, then run and throw. This will block off dumpster, allowing you to focus on truck, bank, and bathrooms.
