LCS Highlight of the Match: Team Dignitas vs Team Liquid

After a week of absence we return with another Highlight of the Match, this time featuring our series against Team Liquid

This week was a perfect one for us. We managed to emerge victorious over Team EnvyUs for the second time this split, and we also managed to sweep the new roster of Team Liquid 2-0. But before we head into the final week which will decide whether we get to compete in the Playoffs, let's take a look at the fight that won us Game 1 against Team Liquid.

The fight breaks out when Chaser's Rengar casts his R, Thrill of the Hunt. Initially, he's aiming to engage onto one of Liquid's squishies. In the meantime, Ssumday's Gragas has them all flanked. Lourlo's Nautilus Teleports immediately after, but he's still quite separated from the rest of his team. Team Dignitas' members all prepare to fight the outnumbered Nautilus 3 to 1, and finish him off seconds later with the help of Chaser and Ssumday who both came to ensure that his screen went gray for the next 40 seconds.

Now, Team Liquid's remaining members decide to engage on Team Dignitas. What they didn't think of, however, is the fact that Nautilus, even though he is a nearly 3 item tank 25 minutes into the game, got melted by the damage of Team Dignitas's members and didn't last long enough to make sure his team could bring their damage in return.

Adrian's Nami cast his R, Tidal Wave, hitting both Xpecial and LOD just at the edge of its range. Xpecial Flashed and LOD used his E, 90 Caliber Net, to escape. Reignover then tried to dash into the entire team of Team Dignitas, thinking he might be able to stall the carries long enough for his team to reposition for a better engage, but Keane's Orianna was there to stop it. He immediately cast his R, Shockwave, onto Kha'Zix, leaving him with no other choice than to die to LOD's Caitlyn.

From there it is a piece of cake for Team Dignitas. Ssumday chased the retreating bot lane of Liquid and he managed to knock Adrian into the wall and "mini-stun" him with his R, Explosive Cask. After ensuring the kill with his E, Body Slam, he and his teammates managed to pick-up the final kill of the fight onto Vladimir who was unsuccessfully trying to drive Team Dignitas away from Baron.

After that fight, Team Dignitas got an easy, uncontested 5-man Baron Buff which allowed them to push the Bot Lane and eventually win the game only a couple of minutes later.

Turning point of the teamfight? It was Chaser's stalling the entire team of Team Liquid long enough for his team to kill Nautilus, stopping Liquid from protecting Lourlo or avenging his death.

We finished this week 2-0. Next week is the final week which will determine the teams that will advance to the Playoffs. We are currently 8-8, 5th in standings and we face Cloud 9 and Immortals next weekend. We hope you will root for us in our final matches before Playoffs.
