Good news from the community! Congratulations to James 'Bakery' Baker of Team Dignitas for being awarded Team Captain of the Year 2016 by fans in the 2nd annual GosuAwards for Heroes of the Storm. The prominant eSports website, GosuGamers, looked back at the highlights 2016 in Heroes of the Storm gameplay, events, personalities, and more, getting fans to vote for their favourites in a number of different categories.

Bakery won the community poll for his ability to be a phenomenal role model and leader for his team. His leadership and dedication towards the goal of winning a global championship has pushed the team to accomplish many well-deserved titles in 2016. Bakery is responsible for aiding the development of the Team Dignitas Heroes squad since its creation in 2015. His unwavering faith in his teammates has given them the drive to compete with ferocity, and the trust and respect he has gained from them in return has allowed them to have a very successful Heroes of the Storm career.

This past year saw the team winning 4 European Championship titles, as well as having a respectable placement in both the Blizzcon World Championship (3-4th place) and the Gold Club World Championship (5th-6th).

It is wonderful to see Bakery’s hard work being recognized by the community, as he has always been a strong figure in the Heroes of the Storm scene and an advocate for its growth and prosperity.
