Team Dignitas’ HGC Preview: Week 3
We are heading into Week 3 of HGC hungry for a win against Zealots!
Last weekend saw some new strategies emerge from Team Dignitas. They dabbled in some experimentation with the current double-support meta and the team drafted away from their usual style with some mixed results. A close series with Team Good Guys netted Team Dignitas a 3-2 win, but unfortunately, the team fell in their next series to Team Expert, 2-3. A new week is approaching, so let’s see if Team Dignitas can solidify their draft meta and take the wins!
Team Dignitas vs. Zealots - Saturday, July 8th at 11:00am PDT / 8:00pm CEST
This weekend Team Dignitas face Zealots, a strong team from the EU Open Division that entered the EU League this phase after passing through the Crucible. With the double-support meta taking over in EU, there will be a high priority on the top healer, Uther. We will most likely see more double-support come from Team Dignitas, as last week they drafted many compositions involving Auriel as a second healer and either Uther or Rehgar as the main healer. Tassadar and Medivh also fit as great secondary supports if Uther is picked up.

Zealots have a 1-2 record thus far, scoring a clean 3-0 against Playing Ducks in their first week. Fran “GranPkt” Núñez is a well-known support player from the earlier days of competitive Heroes of the Storm. He and James "Bakery" Baker will be the Rehgar or Uther players for their respective teams, so their ability to time their ultimate perfectly and synergize well with their team will be very important. Double-support meta tends to have longer games because it’s more difficult to kill members of either team, so coordination with stuns and ultimates will be key.
