Snitch reviews the AV1200 Gigabit Powerline WiFi Kit

Snitch's review for the TP-LINK's AV1200 Gigabit Powerline WiFi Kit

Our Heroes of the Storm player Josh "Snitch" Bennett recently reviewed TP-LINK's AV1200 Gigabit Powerline WiFi Kit, so make sure to check it out!

Snitch's review:

"As a pro gamer, spending a lot of time practicing and training online is a huge part of my day-to-day life. When it comes to online games, latency issues can be a huge problem, and high latency can cause your ability to react to be massively hampered. In my own case, my PC was located far away from my router, and I had always had to rely on a wireless connection. Subsequently, a lot of the time my connection was unstable, and I'd often have moments of high latency while playing (or perhaps even disconnects from my router entirely).

I needed a solution. Recently I discovered TP-LINK's AV1200 Gigabit Powerline Wi-Fi Kit and decided to give it a try.

This kit allows you to do two different things: either extend your wireless network or create an ethernet connection through your power line. I was definitely interested in the second option as for me personally, being on an ethernet line would make my connection to the internet significantly more stable and reliable. Once I'd received and unboxed the kit, I was very pleased to find that it had an incredibly easy set-up. You simply plug one part of it near your router, the other part near your computer, and then hit the pair button on the sides of both so that they sync together. TP-LINK even conveniently included some ethernet cables that I could use and once I connected both ends to their respective devices I instantly saw a huge improvement. It truly is exactly the same as a wired connection without all the hassle of running ethernet cables throughout the entire house.

All in all, this Powerline kit has dramatically improved my ability to compete at a high level as a professional gamer, and I no longer struggle with any of the issues I've often had trying to play and perform on a wireless connection in the past. It's been a very valuable addition to my home."
