Today we're excited to announce that Team Dignitas will compete in the European region of Supercell’s Clash Royale League (CRL). One of the most dynamic and popular mobile esports games in the industry today, Clash Royale’s new league format will allow Team Dignitas and member teams to field the world’s best Clash Royale players.
Each member team in the CRL will build rosters, and have the opportunity to sign players who recently completed Supercell’s inaugural Clash Royale League Challenge, which ran in the game last month. Of the more than 25 million players who competed in the CRL Challenge, 7,000 players from 113 different countries qualified for the opportunity to be drafted by CRL member teams in the coming months. The league’s inaugural season will conclude in Winter 2018 with the Clash Royale League World Finals.
Details are as follows:
"We’re proud to have a team as esteemed and internationally recognized as Team Dignitas join the Clash Royale League," said Tim Ebner, who oversees esports at Supercell. "We look forward to seeing the team's roster come together over the next several months as they prepare to compete in CRL Europe."
"We’re honored to have Dignitas' first mobile esport team be in the industry’s leading mobile game with Clash Royale," said Greg Richardson, Chairman of Dignitas. "The member teams’ close collaboration with Supercell these past months is unique and groundbreaking. We believe it will lead to a successful long-term partnership that will benefit players, fans, teams and the game."
We look forward to our participation in the Clash Royale League and are excited to identify our mobile esports superstars as we venture into this new league!
