SCOTT JOINS DIGNITAS’ ROCKET LEAGUE TEAM AS THE 4TH MEMBER OF THE TEAM AND GAMING CONTENT CREATOR

Los Angeles, California, Feb. 2, 2022 -- Dignitas, the esports vertical of New Meta Entertainment, Inc. (NME), has today announced the signing of Boston Scott, NFL running back and Rocket League competitive player. Scott maintains “Grand Champion” status in Rocket League, which places him in the Top .52% of over 6 million competitive players globally. He has signed with Dignitas’ two-time World Championship-winning Rocket League Team as the 4th member and substitute for the professional team, led by Jack “ApparentlyJack” Benton, Joris “Joreuz” Robben and Kyle “Scrub Killa” Robertson. The announcement was made by Michael Prindiville, CEO of New Meta Entertainment, Inc. after Scott donned a Dignitas jersey to ring the Liberty Bell to kick off the game between the Philadelphia 76ers and Washington Wizards.

It has had an impact on me since I was young that has made it bigger than just a hobby that I enjoy,” said Scott. “So the fact that I'm able to join Dignitas is a dream come true. Pro football has made me fall in love with competition, learning, and shown me the importance of teamwork. No matter what is in front of me I’ve learned how to adapt and overcome. Dignitas is widely recognized as the most successful organization in Rocket League’s history, with six Championships over the last three years. Most recently, the team’s star-studded roster of Joris “Joreuz” Robben, Jack “ApparentlyJack” Benton, and Kyle “Scrub Killa” Robertsen finished Top 8 in the world at the RLCS Winter Major, complementing their 1st place finishes at the BMW Open and Monaco Gaming Show. Joreuz, age 16, has quickly risen to fame as one of the most exciting players in the professional scene. ApparentlyJack, age 18, has made a name for himself as the fastest growing influencer in the RLCS, while former World Champion Scrub Killa, age 18, has turned heads as he continues to tell the story of his resurgence back to the top.

Scott, who goes by the gamertag “B0ston.”, hails from Zachary, Louisiana, where he was a three sport athlete. Upon a standout career he continued playing football at Louisiana Tech where he competed from 2014-2017. In 2018, Scott was drafted by the New Orleans Saints prior to spending the next four seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles, where he recently enjoyed a landmark 2021-22 NFL season scoring eight total touchdowns.
