Nuke Smokes You Might Not Have Known For T-Side
Nuke being revamped by Valve has meant that many players now will need to know new smokes for T side.
Nuke being revamped by Valve has meant that many players now will need to know new smokes for T side.
Nuke being the new map in the map pool added by Valve, making sure smokes are known for T-Side is for crucial. This map will most likely stay in the map pool for now, even if some of the community do not want it to. This means that this map can become something that will consistently be developed smoke wise throughout the next few months and some teams will slowly add it to their map pool to catch some of the big-hitters in the scene off-guard.
Garage smoke
The first smoke is a smoke that majority of the community will need to know when it comes to Nuke. This smoke has been used through the years of the old Nuke. This means that it is crucial that the smoke is used on the new Nuke as well. This smoke can be done multiple ways. However, this way will make sure no gaps will be in the Garage smoke and the whole area will be blocked off, so no awper can take advantage of the smoke having gaps.
This smoke is rather simple. Just make sure to aim at the corner shown on the blue crate outside. You will then need to aim at this little block on the silo, slightly go above it and then throw it. If thrown correctly, the awper who is in Garage will have no chance to get any kills from that area.
Left side mid
The next two smokes are smokes that will need to be done together to make sure that a path is created to get into Secret without any issues. This first smoke is the left side and will involve the use of a bind to make it easier.
The bind is:
alias +crosshairsmoke "cl_crosshairsize 300"
alias -crosshairsmoke "cl_crosshairsize 3"
bind o (Change this to whatever button you want for the bind) +cross
This bind will make the crosshair cover the whole screen, so it's easier to aim just below the light. This smoke involves walking into the pole shown outside, aiming in between the two points shown. Then using the new crosshair bind, make sure the right side of crosshair is just below the light shown. This smoke can be done two different ways to get results you need. Gaps are hard to avoid with the two smokes due to the surface area. This means if you want the gap to be towards the left side, crouch when throwing it. If you want the gap to be smaller, but towards the middle, stand up while throwing the smoke.
Right side mid
This is the next smoke that will be needed to be done. This smoke will need to be done two seconds after the previous smoke if the execute needs to be done perfectly in time with a rush to secret. This smoke is rather simple compared to the other smoke. This just involves aiming at the corner of this yellow drawing on the floor. You will then need to aim at the corner of the building shown. When the smoke is thrown, the smoke will stop towards the right side. This will make it so the T-side can get to secret without having the CT players seeing you cross and getting some shots off.
Heaven smoke
For this smoke to work, someone has to have the job to open all the windows on the roof by shooting them or throwing a nade.
Heaven smoke can be crucial if an A take is wanted through Hut. This smoke can be very hard due to the nature of no mistakes can be made in the lineup. It involves jumping on the pipe by Silo and then aiming at the black dot on the pipe (Very easy to see). You then need to find the line in between the two window panels shown. The bottom left image will show an easier way to lineup if any issues are found trying to see the lineup that is done in the top right image. By just aiming above the ledge and throwing, the smoke will go through the windows that are open and land heaven.
Mini/ A-main smoke
This smoke is crucial to make sure the players going through hut don't show in the back. This smoke can be done from hut and this will make it easy for the A push to come through hut. This smoke involves going into the corner and aiming at the dot on the wall. You will then need to run throw the smoke as you are just about to hit the wall. If done correctly, the smoke will land covering Mini/A-main.
This smoke has some room for error with the run-up. Just make sure to throw just as you are about to hit the wall to avoid having the smoke fail miserably.
Vent drop smoke
This smoke can be done for the classic Eco/ Force buy strat that has happened on Nuke for years, even before the new updated version. The smoke is similar to the previous smoke. However, you aim at the different pillar on this wall instead. You will then be required to aim at the fourth line across and the middle of the wall. You will then need to run forward a tiny bit and release the smoke. If thrown correctly, a path to vents will be available. Only angles you will need to worry about then will be the roof of the hut and the right corner close to the door.
Make sure when you line up with the pillar, you make sure that the edge of the wall lines up with the yellow line in the hut to make the smoke a lot easier on yourself.
I hope this guide was useful, be sure to practice these smokes and hopefully it helps you in your games.
