Bastet may be an uncommon pick these days, but she's still an exceptional niche pick.

Overview
These days Bastet is an uncommon sight to see on the Battleground of the Gods as other picks outshine her in the Jungle, however she’s still exceptional as a niche pick in the right hands.
Bastet is mostly played in the Jungle however can be seen in the solo lane as well. This is because of her ability to clear creeps fast and her capability to chase down targets to get the kill with her slows and her Cats. She also possesses a leap (and back) making it hard to catch her on the escape and hard to get away from her. With a recent small buff in Patch 5.22 with a reduction of cooldown on Razor Whip (2nd Ability), she may see more play. However, this may be unlikely due to being outshone by other meta picks such as Mercury, Ao Kuang and Erlang Shen.

Abilities (in a nutshell)
Passive: Open Wound – Bastet’s first three abilities apply a debuff to enemies, allowing the other abilities to deal extra damage.
1: Pounce – A jump that deals damage and gives Bastet extra movement speed for 4 seconds. You can jump back to the spot you jumped from within that timeframe.
2: Razor Whip – Cone-shaped ability that deals damage over time.
3: Declaw – Projectile ability providing damage and a slow.
4: Cat Call. Summons three cats that attack nearby targets for 10 seconds, slowing and damaging enemies on hit. When any cat is defeated, you gain physical power for 9 seconds, stacking three times (up to 45 power max rank).
Level Order
Bastet’s level order should be 4>2>3>1. The ultimate ability should be leveled whenever possible due to it allowing you to dive towers to chase and secure kills as well as the slow and damage that the cats output. In any fight, these cats should cause an annoyance as well as damage before they are killed. The ultimate is also essential for any 1v1 fight or gank that may happen – four enemies are harder to kill than one! Secondly, you should max your 2. This is one of Bastet’s main damage outputs, causing tick damage in a cone arena. This can hit multiple targets and ticks for 4 seconds, meaning a large chunk of the enemies’ health will be gone over time. All of Bastet’s abilities play off Bastet’s passive which is also where a lot of Bastet’s damage output comes from. This leads into her 3 being maxed 3rd. Declaw does high damage and slows for a brief amount of time. This slow is the other main chase tool used for ganks and hunting down targets. Pounce should be leveled last as an escape but also to provide additional damage on a kill. A combination of Pounce (then or just using Declaw) and then into Razor Whip and then Ultimate should be enough to kill any one target or pull off a successful gank. The ultimate is also great at allowing Bastet to backdoor towers and phoenixes.
Build
Bastet is a penetration character and should build accordingly. Her build should consist of (in 99% of games) Warrior Tabi, Jotunn’s Wrath, Brawler's Beat Stick, The Crusher, and Titan's Bane. The sixth remaining item is optional and dependent on the game. It is usually a defense item such as Hide of the Urchin or Mantle of Discord. This defensive item provides her with a fallback to keep her alive as she jumps in to do as much damage as she can without her abilities. This penetration build also allows her to shred tanks and Gods without mobility and allows her to backdoor towers and phoenixes efficiently.
Overall, while Bastet isn’t currently a meta pick, there’s certainly room for her in upcoming metas as a star Jungler. Her ability to chase and kill means she’s great against Gods without movement abilities and can keep on top of a target efficiently. She’s also a top pick for backdooring towers and phoenixes at your enemies’ annoyance. However, she’s still a very niche pick and require a lot of mechanical skill to play at a high level with picks such as Mercury and Ao Kuang currently dominating the meta.
