Team Dignitas NA LCS Week 3 Preview: DIG vs. FlyQuest/ Counter Logic Gaming

Team Dignitas begins February with Week 3 matchups against FlyQuest and Counter Logic Gaming.

Following a 0-2 week against TSM and Echo Fox, Team Dignitas will look to pick up the pace in February. Steady throughout Week 2, mid-to-late game execution ultimately decided the outcome of both series. With seven days to prepare for next week, Team Dignitas will face off against FlyQuest (FLY) and Counter Logic Gaming (CLG) in Week 3.

Game Summary

Team Dignitas (1-3) on Saturday evening clashes against FlyQuest, the newest NA LCS team bought by Milwaukee Bucks' co-owner Wesley Edens. The best-of-three series will take place in Battle Theater (NALCS2) approximately 12:00 p.m. (PT).

FlyQuest (3-1) in two weeks is beginning to silence most doubters, tying for second in the NA LCS standings while also maintaining the lowest average game time (34.8).

Spearheading FlyQuest's mid-to-late game is mid laner Hai "Hai" Du Lam, former captain and primary shot caller of Cloud9. With four out of five members garnering negative figures in average creep score difference at 10 minutes (CSD10), FlyQuest makes up their early game deficiencies with calculative mid-game rotations, decisive skirmishes, and advantageous team fights, evident with four out of five FlyQuest members sitting at least third in their positions for average damage to champions per minute (DPM).

Because FlyQuest's laning phase is one of their primary points of exploitation, the jungle matchup between Sang-Hyun "Chaser" Lee and Galen "Moon" Holgate will most likely fuel the tone between the two teams. With a CSD10 of 5.2 and average experience difference of 322 (3rd and 1st among junglers respectively), Chaser is beginning to cement himself as a jungler with exceptional jungle pathing (Moon on the other hand has a CSD10 of -2.6). Beyond farming however, Moon has shown exemplary team fighting impact, with a 411 DPM that ranks 2nd amongst all NA LCS junglers. In order for Team Dignitas to succeed, look for Chaser to match Moon's aggression throughout all stages of the game.

Battle Theater (NALCS2) 12:00 p.m. PT / 3:00 p.m. ET

Game Summary

After facing FlyQuest, Team Dignitas will battle against Counter Logic Gaming to begin Sunday's NA LCS broadcast. DIG's next best-of-three series will take place in Battle Theater (NALCS2) approximately 12:00 p.m. (PT).

In two weeks, LOD, Lae-Young "Keane" Jang, and Chan-Ho "Ssumday" Kim have contributed the bulk of Team Dignitas' team fighting responsibility. With their average share of team’s total damage to champions (DMG%) being 26.3% (2nd), 25.2% (8th), and 23.9% (1st) respectively as of Week 2, Team Dignitas has shown a revamped multidimensional roster with multiple carry threats.

Counter Logic Gaming (1-3) ended last week 0-2, with losses to FlyQuest and Cloud9. Yet despite the team's most recent performances, CLG's untouched roster only cements the organization's faith in its members to perform decisively as a unit, and should not be overlooked just yet.

Second in the league in terms of kill participation (76.9%), as well as third among AD Carries in DMG% (26.2%), Trevor "Stixxay" Hayes' contribution is a primary win condition for CLG. As mentioned before, LOD is also critical for Team Dignitas' success, as his DMG% ranks second amongst AD Carries (26.3%). Under this permise, as games progress into the mid-to-late game, the positioning and team play surrounding Stixxay and LOD will be paramount in deciding the outcome of this series.
